1. PRE-LIGHT PRODUCT
Pre-light ribbon to ensure the color is correct.
2. TURN POWER OFF AT CIRCUIT BREAKER
SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death.
Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation.
3. DETERMINE LOCATION TO INSTALL
Dry-t the lights to the desired location BEFORE
removing the adhesive backing. Refer to your
conguration diagram for a list of products and zone
locations when applicable.
Also dry-t channel to the location if you are using.
4. INSTALL CHANNEL (OPTIONAL)
OPTION 1:
Install channel clips to the wall with screws. (Clips
should be mounted at the beginning and end of each
section of channel and at 1/3 and 2/3 the length of each
channel section.
Example: 78” section of channel
clips mounted to wall at start, 26”, 52” and the
end at 78”.
OPTION 2:
Install channel directly to the wall with screws. Place
screws at the begining and end of each section of
channel and at 1/3 and 2/3 the length of each channel
section.
5. PREPARE SURFACE FOR LEDs
Wipe down surface to remove any dust particles to
ensure a proper installation. For slippery surfaces, pre-
sand the area before installing the lights or use Primer
94 from 3M to prime the surface.
6. REMOVE ADHESIVE BACKING
Once t is conrmed, remove 3M adhesive backing
and install to your desired location. Adhesive MUST BE
REMOVED for proper heat dissipation.
7. INSTALL RIBBON
Install ribbon to your desired location and use the
wiring diagram, on the back, as a guide to connect. Do
NOT mount with components or board touching any
flammable surfaces. Do NOT press on LEDs or connect
max runs.
8. TURN POWER ON AT CIRCUIT BREAKER
Once your ribbon is connect using the diagrams on the
back, turn the power on at the circuit breaker.

INSTALLATION GUIDE - LED RIBBON SERIES
PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING
• Pre-light the product to make sure the selected color
is correct for your application.
• Dry-t the lights to the desired location BEFORE
removing the adhesive backing.
• Once t is conrmed, adhesive backing MUST BE
REMOVED for proper heat dissipation.
• Do not mount with components or board touching
any ammable surfaces.
• For slippery surfaces, pre-sand the area before installing
the lights or use Primer 94 from 3M to prime the surface.
• Do not press on the LEDs when installing.
• Do not connect max runs (see spec sheet).
• Wet location strips are protected against water;
power supply is NOT water resistant.
• 14 - 20 gauge wire is recommended.
• Do not attempt to make sharp bends. Excessive or
exaggerated bending and twisting should be avoided. This
stress can split the PU coating and damage the circuit.
LIGHTS ARE FLICKERING OR WILL NOT LIGHT?

Conrm polarity of wiring (make sure + and - are connected properly).
l
Check all connections to make sure they are secure and tight.
l
Ensure you are using a compatible dimmer and correct power supply.

Any installation of this product should be completed by a professional licensed electrician pursuant to all applicable
governing laws, ordinances, regulations, national and local electrical and building codes.

For best performance, do not load the DC power source more than 80% of its labeled rating.
