USER INSTRUCTIONS
NRS LAP-STRAP
General Safety Warning
Please make sure that you read and follow these
instructions carefully. Keep these instructions in
a safe place for future reference.
1. INTENDED USE
Available in small, medium or large, the NRS Lap-Strap has been designed for use as a positioning aid
for children and young adults. The Lap-Strap can be used with a variety of NRS products including: the
Seahorse Plus (N72012/N72024/N72036) and NUVO Children’s Commode (P77916).
3. SAFETY
Warning: Only use the lap-strap recommended for
your product.
Warning: Make sure you have the correct size lap-
strap for the product, refer to the guide in Section 2.
Warning: Make sure the lap-strap is correctly
tightened for the user every time the user is seated.
Incorrectly tightened lap-straps can result in the user
sliding forwards.
Warning: Check regularly for signs of wear or
damage and replace where necessary.
4. UNPACKING
Remove the packaging and check all parts carefully.
Contact your supplier immediately if parts are
missing or damaged and do not try and assemble.
5. FITTING THE LAP-STRAP
Please refer to the user instruction provided with the
product you are fitting the lap strap to. The lap-strap
must be fitted to the product before use.
6. USING AND ADJUSTING THE LAP-STRAP

1. Loosen the lap-strap on each side by feeding the
loose end of the webbing (B) through the slider
(C) until the lap-strap is at its longest setting.

2. Position the user in the chair, then fasten the lap-
strap, using the buckle (D), loosely around the
users waist.

3. Adjust the fit of the lap-strap by feeding the
excess webbing (B) through the sliders (C) on
each side until the lap-strap is a loose fit. Make
sure there is a gap of approx 50mm (2”) between
the padded sections.

4. For final adjustment to ensure a tight fit, pull on
the two D-shaped toggles at the front (E) to close
the gap between the padded sections.
7. MAINTENANCE
Check all straps and harnesses for any signs of
damage to the webbing or to the buckles. Damaged
items must be replaced immediately.

to report a fault or book an inspection by a service
technician.
8. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS.
• Clean with sponge and warm soapy water.
• Do not use bleach or solvents.
• Do not steam clean, tumble dry or dry clean.
• Allow product to fully dry prior to use/storage.
9. PRODUCT DISPOSAL
This product must be thoroughly cleaned/sterilised
prior to disposal.
This product is manufactured from plastic and fabric
and can be disposed of through Local Authority
Household Waste and Recycling Centres or through
Local Trade Waste Collectors.
10. PRODUCT GUARANTEE
NRS Healthcare guarantee this product for a period
of 12 months, from the date of purchase, against
faulty materials and workmanship.
This guarantee does not cover; fair wear & tear,
abuse, misuse, interference or tampering with any
part of the product.
Any guarantee issued by NRS Healthcare does not
affect your statutory rights.
