MOBILE COMMODE

Insert one leg rest into each of the front leg rest
tubes so that the leg rest is supported on the
pin clip. The height of the leg rest can be
adjusted by removing the pin clip from the leg
rest, adjusting the leg rest as required and
replacing the pin clip.
4. Swing Away/Removable Arms:
The arms are labelled right and left to ensure
they are fitted on the correct side (with
overhang on outside of frame as shown in Fig1
Inset). At the back of the Commode, insert the
end of the armrest tube into the location tube
and push down until you feel the arm click into
place. If you do not feel a click, turn the grub
screw in the location block until it stops and
then turn back a half turn. The arm should now
click into place when removed and refitted.
Adjust the grub screw further if required. Check
that the armrest pivots freely and that the
plunger end locates correctly into the latch
moulding. Repeat this procedure for the other
armrest (Fig. 1).
To remove the arm for side transfer, place hand
around the rear of the arm support and pull up
vertically (Fig 2). The arm support should
uncatch and allow removal
.
5. Toilet Seat:
The white moulded toilet seat has fixing points
on the underside, which enable it to be easily
removed and refitted for cleaning purposes.
Finally, please check the operation of the swing
away arms and locking castors. Your Nuvo
Glideabout Commode should now be ready for
use.
Care & Cleaning:
Wash down or pressure wash with a mild
detergent solution, ensuring that all detergent is
washed off thoroughly. Wipe the commode dry,
paying attention to joints. It is recommended
that all joints and castors be sprayed with a
water-dispersing agent such as WD40; this will
help to prolong the life of the commode. It is
recommended that the Commode is inspected
for signs of wear at regular intervals
