Prior to Instalation:
Remove the Negative Battery Cable.
1 Protect the Fender before starting.
2 Note the Battery Cable position, as
it will be reinstalled in the same
position.
Do not touch the positive
battery terminal.
Vehicle Disassembly
1. Open Hood using interior hood
release. Remove three 10mm
bolts from hood vent. (Figure 1)

2. Remove 3 pop clips. (Using pliers
make sure you squeeze side of pop
clips.) (Figure 2)
3 Remove hood vent by pulling up and
outwards releasing hood vent.
(Figure 3.)

4. Using a work bench place hood vent
down and remove all screws from
plastic vent with a Philips screwdriver.
(Figure 4)

5. Insert Lightbar into hood vent
opening using original hardware.

6. Align all plastic insert tabs to lightbar
mount points. (Figure 6)

7. Using small Phillip’s head
screwdriver tighten the plastic insert
tabs to the mount points. (Figure 7)

9. Remove the drivers cowl cover.
Remove 1 cowl nut. (Figure 9)

10. Push the 6-pin wires through the
interior rewall into the engine bay.
This picture shows the grommet in
the rewall just behind the Cowl
Cover. There is a factory access
nipple on the grommet; cut the
nipple off and push the harness
through.
NOTE: Recommended to use soap/
water mixture to help push harness
through rewall grommet. (Figure 10).
8. Remove the driver’s side step cover.
Begin by protecting the vehicle interi
or with blankets. (Figure 8)

12. Route the harness with 12 loose
pins, tape them together with
electrical tape and route the wires
through the hood, as shown. There
are two holes; use the closest one to
your vehicles rewall. (Figure 13)
11. Pull through 12inches of harness
through the rewall from interior into
the engine bay. Connect the wires
into the 6pin black connector. There
are numbers on the connector that
correspond to the numbers on the
wire harness; populate the connector.

13. Pull 55inches of harness through
with your left hand while feeding the
slack with your right. (Figure 14)

15. Connect the Lightbar harness and
reassemble the hood vent with
lightbar installed. Assemble the
same way as disassemble in
steps 1 - 3. (Figure 17)
14. Populate the lightbar connector.
Note: If there is no PIN 3 on the lightbar
harness, do not populate PIN 3, skip and
continue. (Figure 15)

16. The Blue, White, Orange connector
will plug into the headlight
connection. The OEM headlight
connector will plug into our NSV
Patch Harness.
The Purple, Blue, White connectors
will plug into the Headlight motor
connection. The headlight motor
OEM connector will plug into our
NSV Patch Harness. (Figure 18)

18. Non DRL SR5 Base Model
Headlights 014-2017: No cutting of
blue wire needed on our NSV
Patch Harness connected to
Headlight housing. DRL & LED
Headlight Version Models 2014-2019:
You will need to only cut the blue
wire as shown in picture.
Note: You can only cut the blue
wire from the NSV Patch con-
nected to the headlight housing.
If you cut anywhere else this will
cause lightbar operation issues.

10mm Bolt
19. Remove two 10mm bolts in order to
drop the bottom drivers dash panel.
(Figure 21)
Warning: Do not pull on the SRS Airbag
dash panel, this panel is to be left alone.
Lower Dash panel removes without SRS
airbag panel.
20. Using a Plastic Trim Pry Tool work
around the drivers dash panel to pop
clips out. The red and white circles
are where your pop clips are holding
the lower dash panel together.

Warning: Do not pull on SRS Airbag in
the lower dash panel, this panel is to be
left alone. Lower Dash panel removes
without SRS airbag.

22. Warning: You will need to make
sure your steering column is to
the furthest point towards you
sitting in the driver seat. This
enables enough slack for the wire
you will be installing into the
steering wheel roll connector. If
the steering column is not
completely forward connect the
battery to move the column then
disconnect when you’re done.
Once you have uninstalled the
lower dash panel you will need to
access the steering column. Take
the two Philips head screws out
of the steering column housing.
Shown in (Figures 25 & 26) turn
the steering wheel clockwise and
counter clockwise to reach these
screws.
Note: Insert your car key and turn to
on position so your steering wheel
does not lock when turning the wheel.

23. Feed the bottom steering column
cover around the telescoping button.
(Figure 27)
Caution: Do not touch or
disconnect the yellow wire!!! This
is your SRS Airbag Wire.

you will need to connect the T-Taps
to your cigarette lighter outlet and
not the Trailer
Brake wires. Connect both wires onto the
power side of the cigarette lighter
26. Once you pulled the trim out
disconnect the switches from the
trim to make room. (Figure 31)

29. Once you nished with the T-Taps
on the Trailer brake, route the
harness through to the back of your
Cigarette/USB panel.

27. Using 10mm socket take both bolts
out shown in (Figure 32)
28. Route the lightbar harness with the
T-Tap connectors into the back of the
Trailer Brake Output.
Red/Black Wire T-Tap connects to
Yellow Wire (12V Ignition)
Blue Wire T-Tap connects to
Green Wire(Illumination)
Note: On the trailer brake harness you
will need to cut away some factory insu-
lation to nd your yellow and Green wire.

2018 Models you will need to connect
the T-Taps to your cigarette lighter outlet
and not the Trailer Brake wires. Connect
both wires onto the power side of the
cigarette lighter.

30. Pop out your Cigarette/USB panel
using plastic trim tool. Work around
outer panel work the pop clips out.
(Figure 36)
Reference (Figure 35) to see where
the clips are holding the panel in
place.
31. Pull OEM Panel Out as Shown in
(Figure 36). Pull out Switch
Knockouts. On (Figure 37) you will
insert the factory components into
the NSV Lightbar Switch Panel.

from auto
