1. Introduction
Welcome to the ION phone user’s guide. Your ION phone comes with many features for your
convenience, such as two SIM card slots, as well as room for a memory card.
The ION provides you with the ability to connect to the internet as well as view television,
or listen to the radio.
You can turn the phone on by pressing and holding the Power/End key.
Note:Ifthisisthersttimeyouhaveturnedonthephoneafteraresethasbeenperformed,
you will be asked to enter your password. The default password is 1122. Enter 1122 and
press the Menu key. This will open the Phone’s Main screen.
Note:somecongurationisneededbeforeusingthebrowser,basedonyourlocalservice
providerspecicsettings.
Press and hold the Power/End key until the Nuqleo logo appears.
You can use the Navigation keys to surf the ION phone’s menu system. When you have
highlighted the menu item you want, just press the Center Select key to open or enable
the item.
On the Main screen, start dialing the number you want to call and then press the Center
Select or the Send Answer 1 or 2 key.
When the phone alerts you to an incoming call, press the Send/Answer 1 key for
SIM 1 or Send/Answer 2 key for SIM 2.
On the Main screen, select the Phonebook icon.
Select the contact you want and then press the Menu key to open the Options screen.
On the Options screen, select Send text message.
After writing your message in the content area, press the Center Select key.

On the Main screen, select the Services icon, then select Internet service.
Choose the SIM card you want to use to connect to the internet and select Input address
to continue.
On the Input address screen, you have the option to enter your desired web address or you
can select from the saved addresses previously used. Select any existing address or input your
own to begin your internet experience.

When the phone alerts you to an incoming text message, you can press the Center Select key
in order to select and view the details of the message from the
dedicated list.

Your call history logs the different numbers you have dialed, received, or missed.
This menu option also allows you to view timer and counter options.
Carefully slide down the back cover to remove it.
Align the contacts on the new battery unit with the connectors inside the compartment.
Replace the phone cover by gently sliding it up until it locks into place.

Insert SIM card 1 (top slot) in the proper position, and do the same with SIM card 2 (bottom
slot), if adding a second one on your phone.

Select Call history.
Next, choose one of the following options:
On the Call history screen, select Delete call logs.

Next, choose All calls to delete all dialed, missed, and received calls.

Note: You should not charge your phone longer than 8 hours. If you do overcharge your phone,
this may shorten the battery life.

You can view the amount of time spent on your calls on the Call timers’ screen.
On the Call history menu, select Call timers. Afterwards, choose one of the following options:
1. On the Call history menu, select Call timers.
2. Then select SIM 1 or SIM 2 reset all. This will delete the recorded times from all timers for
the SIM card you chose to reset.
You can view the amount of data sent using the GPRS. On the Call history menu, select
GPRS counter. Choose any of the following options to continue:
1. On the Call history menu, select Text message counter.
2. Select one of the following options:

storage window.
Next, select one of the following storage devices:
When you are done with your edits, press the Center Select key to save the last entry.

You can copy your contacts from your phone to your SIM card or vice versa.
Copying your contacts duplicates the entries on both devices.
You can move your contacts from your phone to your SIM card or vice versa.
Moving your contacts deletes the entries on one location and stores them in the destination
or location you choose.

Go to Status, then select On or Off to enable or disable the Speed dial functionality.

On the Options screen, select Add to Blacklist. Then press the Menukeytoconrm.
On the Main screen, select the Menu icon, followed by the Call center icon.
From the Call center screen, go to Call settings and then open the Advanced settings menu.
From the Advanced settings screen, go to Blacklist. Then select Blacklist numbers to view
the entries contained in that list.
On the Main screen, select the Menu icon followed by the Call center icon.
From the Call center screen, go to Call settings and then open the Advanced settings menu.
3. From the Advanced settings screen, go to Blacklist. Under Mode, you have the option of
enabling or disabling this function.

they contain any events within that period.

This convenient feature contains many different elements to help you stay organized. The
phone includes a calendar, alarm clock, and World clock among many others.

On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Select the Organizer icon to open the Calendar.
On the Calendar screen, highlight the day you want to add an event, and then go
to Options.
On the Options menu, select Add event.
Fill in the event information, when you are done, highlight either the Alarm or Repeat
items and press the Menu key to save the entry. Press the Menu key again to save
your entry.
On the Calendar screen, select Options.
On the Options menu, go to Delete event.
On this screen, choose one of the following options:
On the Calendar screen, highlight the day you want to view and then select Options.
From the Options menu, go to View. All events for that day will be displayed.
On the Calendar screen, select Options.
From the Options menu, go to View all. All events saved in your calendar will be displayed.

You can open your calculator from the Main screen. Select the Main menu icon, followed by
the Organizer icon, and the Calculator. The Navigation key is used to designate the arithmetic
operation.Forexample,ifyouwanttoaddtwonumbers,youwouldentertherstnumber,then
press the Navigation key upwards to enter the addition symbol, and then enter the second
number. Pressing the Menu key will complete the equation and give you the result.
You can open your World Clock from the Main screen. Select the Main menu icon, followed by
the Organizer icon, and the World Clock. You can use the Navigation key to view the current
local time in the different cities.
You can open your Alarm Clock from the Main screen. Select the Main menu icon, followed by
the Organizer icon, and the Alarm. Fill in the alarm time information. When you are done, press
the Menu key to save the entry, using the Menukeyagaintoconrm.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Next, select the Organizer icon followed by Tasks menu.
On the Task screen, select Options.
From the Options menu, go to Add.
Next,llinthetaskinformation.Whenyouaredone,presstheMenu key to save the entry,
using the Menukeyagaintoconrm.
On the Task screen, highlight the task you want to delete and then select Options.
On the Options menu, select Delete.
Press the Menu key to erase the desired entry and then press the Menu key again
toconrm.
On the Task screen, highlight the task you want to view and then select Options.
Next, select View from the Options menu.
On the Calendar screen, select Options.
Next, select View all from the Options menu. All the events on your calendar
will be displayed.
Note: You can select Delete all to permanently eliminate all tasks.
Note: You can select View uncompleted to see all pending tasks.

Thelemanagerallowsyoutostoreyourlesinaconvenient,easytoaccesslocationon
your phone or memory card. Default folders are already available for use or you can create
yourownfolders.YoucanalsotransferyourleseasilybetweentheIONphoneandyour
personal computer.
The ION phone entertainment section consists of games and websites that you can use for
your personal enjoyment. The phone comes with the Puzzle game but you can acquire more
games if you want. You can also launch several websites from the entertainment section, such
as MSN or Yahoo.

Next, select the Multimedia icon and enable the Camera feature.
Once on the Camera screen, point the lens at your subject and press the Center Select key to
capture the photo. The picture will be saved to the storage device.
You will need a SIM card to use the ION phone. You should purchase a SIM card from your
preferred wireless carrier.
On the Camera screen, press the Menu key to go to the Options screen.
From the Options screen, go to Photos, then highlight the image you want to view.
Press the Center Selectkeytoviewtheselectedle.
On the Camera screen, press the Menu key to go to the Options screen.
From the Options screen, go to Storage, and then choose one of the following:

The ION phone allows you to add a second SIM card. This SIM card will use the Send/Answer
2 key when making or receiving a phone call or text message.
You can have different contacts on the separate cards as well as have them be from
different wireless carriers.

On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Select the Multimedia icon, followed by the Sound recorder.
On the Sound recorder screen, press the Menu key.
On the Options screen, select New recordtorecordanewle.
When you are done recording, press the Menu key. Press the Menu key once more to save
theaudiole.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Select the Multimedia icon to open the FM radio function.
Press the Navigation key downwards to turn on the radio.

On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Select the Multimedia icon to open the FM radio function.
On the FM radio screen, press the Menu key, and enable Auto Search.
This will perform a search for all available radio signals.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Next, select the Multimedia icon, followed by the Video player function.
From the Video list, select the item you want to play.
Press the Center Select key to start playing the video.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
After selecting the Multimedia icon, go to Video recorder.
Point the lens at your subject and press the Center Select key to begin recording. Press the
Back key when you are done. You can press the Menu key to save the video.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Next, select the Multimedia icon, followed by the Video player function.
On the Video list, highlight the video you want to erase, and press the Menu key to select Options.
On the Options screen, select Delete. Press the Menukeyoncemoretoconrm.
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
Select the Multimedia icon, then select Video player.
On the Video list, highlight the video you want to send and press the Menu key to select Options.
On the Options screen, select Send, then select from one of two options:
On the Main screen, select the Main menu icon.
After selecting the Multimedia icon you can use the Mobile TV icon to open the application.
The user can also press the TV hot key to instantly launch this feature.
On the Select location list, choose your preferred location. The phone will scan the airwaves for
television signals available in the area.
Note: Make sure the antenna is fully extended.
You can use the Navigation key to change stations as well as turn the radio on or off.
The controls are as follows:

Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly

On the Bluetooth screen, select Visibility to allow your phone to be discovered by other
Bluetooth devices. Select Visibility again when you want to disable the discovery mode on
your phone.
