1 ISTRUZIONI ANTINFORTUNISTICHE
GENERALI
Prima di accingersi ad azionare questa macchina, è
importante leggere, capire e seguire queste istruzioni con
molta attenzione, per garantire la sicurezza dell’operatore e
dei circostanti, come pure per garantire una lunga e sicura
vita della macchina. Imparare come usare l’ettroutensile, le
sue limitazioni d’utilizzo e i rischi potenziali che ne possono
derivare. Conservare queste istruzioni in un posto sicuro
per la consultazione futura.
Evitare le partenze involontarie - Scollegare gli elettroutensili
Controllaresempre chelechiavetteelechiavidiregolazione
siano rimosse dall’elettroutensile prima di avviarlo.
Accertarsi che l’interruttore sia nella posizione di SPENTO
prima di collegare l’elettroutensile all’alimentazione di rete.
Accertarsi che gli elettroutensili siano scollegati
dall’alimentazione di rete quando non vengono utilizzati,
prima della manutenzione, lubrificazione o regolazione e
quando si sostituiscono accessori quali lame, punte e frese.
Ispezionare le parti danneggiate
Prima di utilizzare ulteriormente l’elettroutensile, questo deve
essere controllato con attenzione per accertarsi che funzioni
correttamente e operi conformemente al suo uso specifico.
Controllare l’allineamento corretto delle parti in movimento,
accertarsi che non siano inceppate, controllare che non ci
siano componenti rotti e che l’elettroutensile sia montato
correttamente. Verificare qualsiasi altra condizione che
possa influire sul funzionamento dell’elettroutensile.
Una protezione, o qualsiasi altra parte dell’elettroutensile
che sia danneggiata, deve essere riparata o sostituita da un
centro di manutenzione autorizzato, a meno di indicazione
differente contenuta in questo manuale d’istruzioni.
Qualsiasi interruttore che non funziona correttamente deve
essere sostituito da un centro di manutenzione autorizzato.
Non utilizzare l’elettroutensile se l’interruttore di ACCESO/
SPENTO non accende e spegne l’elettroutensile.
La polvere prodotta durante la lavorazione dei materiali è
nociva per la salute.
Si raccomanda di indossare una adatta mascherina
antipolvere. Durante l’esecuzione dei lavori utilizzare sempre
i mezzi protettivi personali: occhiali antinfortunistici, guanti,
mascherina, protezione auricolare, scarpe antinfortunistiche
e antiscivolo.
Non indossare indumenti o gioielleria svolazzanti e
raccogliere i capelli lunghi in modo da evitare che possano
restare impigliati in organi in movimento.
Lavorare sempre su basi stabili. Bloccare sempre saldamente
con una morsa il pezzo da lavorare.
Mantenere sempre pulita ed in ordine la zona di lavoro.
Manovrare l’elettroutensile utilizzando entrambe le mani.
Non aprire o modificare in alcun modo l’elettroutensile o i
suoi accessori.
Non esporre gli elettroutensili alla pioggia, o utilizzarli in
situazioni dove possano bagnarsi o inumidirsi.
Mantenere l’area di lavoro bene illuminata.
Non utilizzare gli elettroutensili nelle zone dove esista
un pericolo di esplosione o d’incendio dovuto a materiali
combustibili, a liquidi infiammabili, vernice, pittura, benzina,
ecc. gas e polveri infiammabili di natura esplosiva.
Fare attenzione ai bambini e agli animali domestici
I bambini e gli animali domestici devono essere tenuti fuori
dall’area di lavoro.
Tutti gli elettroutensili devono essere tenuti fuori dalla
portata dei bambini. Quando non sono in uso, è preferibile
riporre gli elettroutensili in un armadio o in una stanza
asciutti e chiusi a chiave.
Utilizzare l’utensile corretto
Scegliere l’utensile appropriato per il tipo di lavoro.
Non utilizzare un utensile per un lavoro per il quale non è
stato progettato.
Non forzare un utensile piccolo a fare il lavoro di un
utensile per servizio pesante. Non utilizzare gli utensili per
scopi a cui non erano stati destinati.
Non forzare l’elettroutensile
L’elettroutensile farà un lavoro migliore, più sicuro e darà
un servizio migliore se verrà utilizzato alla velocità per cui
è stato progettato.
Eseguire sempre un’accurata manutenzione degli utensili
Mantenere affilati e puliti gli utensili da taglio onde
ottenerne le prestazioni migliori e più sicure.
Seguire le istruzioni di lubrificazione e sostituzione degli
accessori. Mantenere le impugnature asciutte, pulite e
prive di olio e grasso.
Accertarsi che le fessure di ventilazione siano sempre
mantenute pulite e prive di polvere. Le fessure di
ventilazione bloccate possono causare il surriscaldamento
e il danneggiamento del motore. Se questa macchina deve
essere utilizzata quando si lavora ad una certa altezza,
deve essere utilizzato un ponteggio dotato di ringhiera
e battipiede o una piattaforma a torre, in modo tale da
garantire una adeguata stabilità.
Importante!
Questo elettroutensile soddisfa le normative nazionali e
internazionali e i requisiti di sicurezza. Le riparazioni
devono essere eseguite unicamente da personale
qualificato, utilizzando pezzi di ricambio originali.
Se questo non viene fatto ne può derivare un grave
pericolo per l’utente.

2 ISTRUZIONI SPECIFICHE PER LA
SICUREZZA
Prestare attenzione all’elevata reazione di coppia durante
la perforazione. Scegliere l’impostazione di coppia corretta
quando si utilizza l’utensile come un cacciavite.
Non cercare di spostare uno qualsiasi degli interruttori di
selezione durante il funzionamento del motore. Questo
potrebbe danneggiare l’utensile.
Scollegare sempre l’utensile dall’alimentazione di corrente
prima della manutenzione
Non usare questo utensile con alcun accessorio destinato
per miscelare malta, cemento o intonaco, o per qualunque
altra operazione di mescolamento.
NORME DI SICUREZZA ADDIZIONALI
-Se possibile, utilizzare sempre una morsa o un attrezzo
per bloccare il pezzo in lavorazione.
-Spegnere sempre il trapano prima di posarlo.

se la perforazione crea polvere.
NORME DI SICUREZZA ADDIZIONALI PER I
CARICABATTERIE
1 Primadiutilizzareilcaricabatterie,leggeretutteleistruzioni
e le etichette d’avvertenza presenti sul caricabatterie e
sulle batterie e le istruzioni sull’uso delle batterie.
2 Non ricaricare le batterie all’aperto in quanto il
caricabatterie è previsto solo per l’utilizzo al coperto.
3 PERICOLO. Se le batterie sono crepate o in altro modo
danneggiate, non inserirle nel caricabatterie, onde evitare
pericolo di scosse elettriche o di elettrocuzione.
4 ATTENZIONE.Tenereilcaricabatterielontanodaqualsiasi
liquido, onde evitare pericolo di scosse elettriche.
5 Ilcaricabatterieelebatterieforniteindotazionesonostate
studiate specificatamente per lavorare insieme.
Non utilizzare nessun caricabatterie diverso da quello
fornito in dotazione.
6 Nonstrattonareilcavoperstaccarlodallapresadicorrente.
7 Non utilizzare il caricabatterie se ha subito un urto
violento, se è caduto o se si è danneggiato in qualsiasi
altro modo.
Portarlo ad un centro d’assistenza autorizzato per una
verifica o per la riparazione.
8 Nonsmontareilcaricabatterie.Quandooccorreassistenza
o è necessaria una riparazione portarlo presso un centro
d’assistenza autorizzato. Se viene rimontato in modo
sbagliato può sussistere rischio di incendio, scosse
elettriche o elettrocuzione.
9 Per ridurre il rischio di scosse elettriche, staccare il
caricabatterie dalla presa di corrente prima di pulirlo.
Rimuovendo solo la batteria il rischio non si riduce.
NORME DI SICUREZZA ADDIZIONALI PER LE
BATTERIE
1 Lebatterie diquestoapparecchiosonostateconfezionate
con carica bassa. Prima di utilizzarle occorre caricarle al
massimo.
2 Non smaltire per incenerimento le batterie, neppure se
sono seriamente danneggiate o se non mantengono più
la carica.
Le batterie possono esplodere a contatto col fuoco.
3 In caso di utilizzo estremo o temperature estreme può
verificarsi una leggera perdita di liquido dalle batterie.
Ciò non significa necessariamente che le batterie sono
guaste. Se comunque il sigillo esterno si rompe e queste
perdite vengono a contatto con la pelle, lavare al più
presto la parte interessata con acqua e sapone.
Se la perdita viene a contatto con gli occhi, sciacquare
con abbondante acqua corrente per almeno 10 minuti e
rivolgersi immediatamente presso un medico. Informare
ilpersonalemedicocheilliquidoèunasoluzioneal25-
35% di idrossido di potassio.
4 Non aprire mai le batterie per nessun motivo. Se il corpo
di plastica delle batterie si rompe o si crepa, smettere
immediatamente di utilizzarle e non ricaricarle.
5 Non conservare o trasportare le batterie di ricambio in
tasca o in una scatola di attrezzi o in altro posto nel quale
possono venire a contatto con oggetti metallici.
Le batterie possono andare in corto circuito e
danneggiarsi, provocare bruciature o appiccare il fuoco.
INFORMAZIONI SULLA RICARICA DELLE BATTERIE
Velocità di ricarica per batterie al NiCad e Li-Ion
La velocità di ricarica delle batterie al NiCad e Li-
Ion è determinata dal tempo necessario a ricaricare
completamente la batteria e dalla tensione di ricarica. Le tre
velocità più comunemente utilizzate sono:
Ricarica veloce.
Ricarica lenta.
Ricarica di compensazione (trickle).
Batterie a ricarica veloce
Il tempo di ricarica per batterie a carica veloce varia da 30
a 90 minuti. La velocità di ricarica della batteria fornita con
un utensile a batteria (cordless) è indicata nel manuale del
prodotto.
Batteria a carica lenta.
Il tempo di ricarica per batterie a carica lenta va da 3 a 5 ore.
Batterie a ricarica di compensazione.
Il tempo di ricarica per batterie a ricarica di compensazione
va da 7 a 9 ore.

SCARICARE SEMPRE COMPLETAMENTE UNA
BATTERIA AL NiCad e Li-Ion PRIMA DI RICARICARLA
E NON SUPERARE MAI IL TEMPO DI RICARICA
NOMINALE TRANNE CHE PER LA PRIMA CARICA DI
UNA BATTERIA NUOVA.

Procedimento di carica
Quando si carica una batteria nuova al NiCad e/o Li-Ion
occorre scaricarla completamente facendo poi seguire un
ciclo di carica completa alla velocità nominale della batteria
così come indicato nel manuale del prodotto aggiungendo
30 minuti. Occorre poi scaricarla completamente di nuovo e
ricaricarlaallastessavelocitàaggiungendo30minuti.Questo
procedimento condiziona la batteria e fa sì che tutte le celle
abbianolostessovoltaggio.Ilrispettodiquestoprocedimento
garantisce il miglior funzionamento della batteria.
Se si utilizza ripetutamente il caricabatterie per caricare
un certo numero di batterie, lasciare sempre raffreddare
il caricabatterie prima di riutilizzarlo. Si consiglia di
considerare un tempo per il raffreddamento non inferiore a
30-45minuti.Sesiricaricaunabatteriachesièscaricata
durante un servizio impegnativo, lasciarla raffreddare prima
di ricaricarla. Si consiglia di considerare un tempo per il
raffreddamentononinferiorea30-45minuti.
Cariche per NiCad e Li-Ion e caricabatterie
Le batterie al NiCad e/o Li-Ion devono essere ricaricate
con una ragionevole attenzione, soprattutto perché
possono essere danneggiate da una sovraccarica. Una
carica eccessiva può provocare un rapido aumento della
temperatura e della pressione interna della batteria. Ciò
può provocare la deformazione delle celle con perdita
dell’elettrolita e, nel caso in cui la pressione interna diventi
estremamente elevata, possono addirittura esplodere.
Lo stesso può accadere se viene montata ed utilizzata sul
prodotto una batteria sovraccaricata.
Per evitare tale situazione estrema è di vitale importanza
che le batterie al NiCad e/o Li-Ion vengano scaricate
completamente prima della ricarica e che non si ecceda
il tempo di carica se non quando si carica per la prima
volta una batteria nuova. Una frequente ricarica di batterie
scaricate solo parzialmente, può guastare una o più celle.
Auto-scarica delle batterie
Unabatteria al NiCade/o Li-Ion puòscaricarsi da solae
perdere la carica accumulata a causa di reazione chimica
interna. Normalmente perde circa il 10% della carica nelle
prime 24 ore dopo la ricarica e un’ulteriore 10% al mese.
Mai caricare le batterie all’aperto
Questocaricabatterieèprogettatoperessereusatoalchiuso.
Consigliamo di non utilizzarlo a casa propria. Le batterie
vanno caricate su un banco da lavoro in officina o in garage.
Se si deve procedere alla ricarica a casa propria, farlo in un
ambiente ben ventilato appoggiando il caricabatterie su una
superficieignifugaassicurandosicheleferitoiediventilazione
non siano bloccate. Mai superare il tempo di ricarica tranne
che nel caso di prima carica di una batteria nuova, in quanto
si potrebbero danneggiare la batteria ed il caricabatterie.
Smaltimento delle batterie
Se la batteria non si carica o non tiene la carica, significa
che è esausta. Nel rispetto dell’ambiente, riciclare o
smaltire adeguatamente le batterie. Queste batterie
contengono celle al nickel-cadmio. Prima di gettarle,
assicurarsi che le batterie siano completamente scariche
utilizzandole sull’utensile cordless, quindi rimovendole dal
loro alloggiamento sul trapano e coprendone i poli con
del nastro robusto onde evitare corto circuiti e scarico di
energia che potrebbe generare incendi.
Non aprire o rimuovere alcun componente. Informarsi
presso le autorità locali in merito all’esistenza di centri di
riciclaggio e smaltimento.
ISTRUZIONI DI SICUREZZA SPECIFICHE
Batterie ricaricabili.
Le batterie possono perdere liquidi o esplodere se non
caricate o maneggiate correttamente. Prendere sempre le
seguenti precauzioni nell’uso delle batterie.
Assicurarsi che la macchina sia spenta prima di rimuovere
o montare le batterie.
Non utilizzare questa batteria con nessun altro prodotto.
Non cercare di montare le batterie a rovescio.
Non mettere in corto o cercare di smontare la batteria.
Non esporre le batterie a fiamme o eccessivo calore.
Non immergere le batterie in acqua e non esporla
all’umidità.
Non conservare o trasportare le batterie insieme a oggetti
metallici sciolti come punte di trapano o di cacciavite.
Le batterie tendono a perdere liquidi quando sono scariche.
Per evitare di danneggiare il prodotto, quando la batteria
è scarica, rimuoverla o ricaricarla. Quando non la si usa
conservare la batteria in un luogo fresco. Dopo un uso
prolungato la batteria si scalda. Prima di rimuoverla,
spegnere la macchina e lasciare raffreddare la batteria.
Non utilizzare la batteria se si nota una perdita di colore o
una deformazione del corpo.
CARICA DELLA BATTERIA
N.B. - Durante la carica la batteria si scalda.
La batteria fornita con questo elettroutensile contiene solo
una carica di prova e deve essere caricata a fondo prima
dell’uso. Leggere anzitutto le norme di sicurezza e poi
seguire le istruzioni per la carica.
1 Collegare il cavo del trasformatore alla base del
caricabatterie.
2 Inserire la spina del trasformatore in una normale presa
dicorrentea230V-50Hz.
3 Controllare che il cavo non o annodato sia attorcigliato.
4 Il trasformatore e il pacco batterie sono studiati
appositamente per funzionare assieme.
NON usare questo carica batterie con alcun utensile o
pacco batterie di un’altra marca.
5 Notare che la batteria ha una chiavetta che le permette
diinfilarsinellabasedelcaricabatteriesoltantoinunmodo
6 Sistemare il pacco batterie nella base del caricabatterie.

REGOLAZIONE DELLA VELOCITÀ (foto 2)
Per avviare il trapano a bassa velocità basta applicare una
leggera pressione sul grilletto. Aumentando la pressione
si aumenta la velocità. Prima di eseguire interventi di
regolazione o manutenzione togliere sempre la batteria.
AZIONAMENTO DEL MANDRINO SENZA CHIAVE
Il mandrino senza chiave montato su questo trapano/
cacciavite consente di inserire e disinserire facilmente le
punte (Foto 3).
Ilmandrino haduemorsetti rotanti(Ae B).Sceglierela punta
del trapano o del cacciavite che si desidera e inserirla nelle
griffe del mandrino. ruotare il morsetto A in senso orario
sino a quando le griffe afferrano la punta. Con la mano
libera tenere fermo il morsetto B e ruota re il morsetto A in
senso orario sino a quando si stringe sulla punta. Non usare
una forza eccessiva per stringere. Rimontare la batteria, e il
trapano/cacciavite è così pronto per l’uso.
REGOLAZIONI DELLA COPPIA
Èpossibileimpostare il valore dicoppiaopoteredi serraggio
del trapano/cacciavite; a seconda dell’applicazione sono
necessari diversi livelli di potenza. Quando si vogliono
avvitare viti di grosso diametro è necessaria una forza di
torsione superiore a quella occorrente per viti più piccole.
Quando si raggiunge il valore di coppia prefissato il
mandrino smette di girare (foto 4).
N.B. -Iniziaresempreconlacoppiadivalorepiùbasso.
Ilsimbolo indica il valore di coppia massimochesi usa
quando si praticano fori e per avvitare viti molto grandi.
FUNZIONAMENTO A PERCUSSIONE
Questo trapano può anche funzionare con un’azione
battente. Ruotare l’anello di regolazione della coppia in
senso antiorario sino a quando il simbolo del trapano si
allinea con la freccia sul corpo del mandrino (Foto 5).
Sull’anello del trapano a percussione c’è il simbolo del
martello. Ruotare l’anello sino a quando il simbolo del
martello è allineato con la freccia.
Quando si usa il trapano con azione battente adoperare
sempre punte da muratura raccomandate dal fornitore.
SELETTORE ROTAZIONE ORARIA/ANTIORARIA

Si può cambiare il senso di rotazione del trapano mediante
l’interruttore situato sopra il grilletto.
Basta premere a fondo il bottone verso sinistra per avere
una rotazione in senso inverso.
Per passare alla rotazione in avanti, premere a fondo il
bottone verso la destra dell’impugnatura.

Questo trapano viene fornito con un cambio a 2 velocità.
Per passare dalla bassa alla alta velocità, e viceversa, fare

2 SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Be aware of the high torque reaction when drilling especially
when drilling masonry.
DO NOT try to change any of the selector switches while
the motor is running. Doing so could damage the machine.
DO NOT attempt to modify the machine or its accessories
in any way. DO NOT force the machine, let the machine
do the work. This will reduce the wear on the machine and
cutter and increase its efficiency and operating life.
Do not use this product with any attachment designed for
mixing mortar, concrete, or plaster. Or for any other type of

If possible, always use clamps or a vice to hold your work.
-Always switch off before you put the drill down.

1 The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a low
charge condition. You should charge the battery pack
fully before use.
2 Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is seriously
damaged or can no longer hold a charge. The battery
pack can explode in a fire.
3 A small leakage of liquid from the battery pack may occur
under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
This does not necessarily indicate a failure of the battery
pack. However,iftheoutersealisbrokenand thisleakage
comes into contact with your skin wash the affected area
quickly with soap and water. If the leakage gets in your
eyes flush your eyes with clean water for a minimum of
10 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.
Inform the medical staff that the liquid is a 25-35%
solution of potassium hydroxide.
4 Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason.
If the plastic housing of the battery pack breaks open or
cracks, immediately discontinue its use and do not
recharge it.
5 Do not store or carry a spare battery pack in a pocket or
toolbox or any other place where it may come into contact
withmetalobjects.Thebatterypackmaybeshort-
circuited causing damage to the battery pack, burns or a
fire.
BATTERY CHARGING INFORMATION
Charging rates for NiCad and/or Li-Ion
NiCadand/orLi-Ionbatterychargingratesaredetermined
by the time taken to fully charge the battery and are
determinedby thechargecurrent. Thethreemost commonly
used charging rates are typically:
Fast charge.
Slow charge.
Trickle charge.
Fast charge batteries
The charging rates for fast charge batteries can vary
between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. The charging rate for
the battery supplied with a cordless power tool is stated in
the product manual.
Slow charge battery
The charging rates for slow charge batteries are between 3
hours and 5 hours..
Trickle charge batteries
The charging rates for trickle charge batteries are between
7 hours and 9 hours..

Charging procedure
WhencharginganewNiCadand/orLi-Ionbatteryitshould
be fully discharged followed by a full charge for the charging
rate for the battery as stated in the product manual plus 30
minutes. This should then be followed by a full discharge
and a further full charge for the charging rate for the battery
as stated in the product manual plus 30 minutes. This
procedure will condition the battery and equalise the cell
voltages. Following this procedure will ensure the optimum
operation of the battery.
When repeatedly using the charger to charge a number of
batteries always allow the charger to cool down before
charginganother battery. It is recommendedthat the cooling
down period is not less than 30 to 45 minutes.
When charging a battery that has been discharged during
heavy use allow the battery to cool down before charging.
It is recommended that the cooling down period is not less
than 30 to 45 minutes.
NiCad and/or Li-Ion charging & chargers
NiCadand/orLi-Ionbatteriesneedtoberechargedwitha
reasonable amount of care, largely because they can be
damaged by overcharging.
Overcharging can result in the battery temperature and
internal pressure to rise rapidly. This can cause the cells to
distort and lose electrolyte, and in extreme cases where the
internal pressure is extremely high they can even explode.
This situation can also arise when an overcharged battery
is fitted to the product and is being used. In order to avoid
this extreme situation it is of vital importance that NiCad
and/orLi-Ionbatteriesarefullydischargedbeforecharging
and that the charge time is not exceeded except when
“Conditioning” a new battery. Repeated charging of partially
discharged batteries could cause failure of one or more of
the cells.
Self discharge
ANiCadand/orLi-Ionbatterycanselfdischargeandloseits
storedchargeduetointernalchemicalaction.Typicallyitcan
loseapproximately10%ofitschargeinthefirst24hoursafter
fully charging, and then loses it by a further 10% per month.
Battery Charging Indoors
This charger is designed to be used indoors. We do not
recommendthat it isusedinsideyour home. Ideallybatteries
should be charged on a bench in a workshop, garage or
shed. If the charging operation is to be carried out in your
home the area must be well ventilated and the charger must
be placed on a non combustible surface ensuring that the
ventilation slots are not blocked. Never exceed the charging
time except when “Conditioning” a new battery, as this could
damage the battery and charger.
Battery disposal
When the battery fails to charge or maintain its charge, its
usable life is exhausted. To preserve natural resources,
please recycle or dispose of the battery pack properly. This
batterypackcontainsnickel-cadmiumcells.Beforedisposal
ensure that the battery pack is fully discharged by operating
your cordless product then remove the battery pack from
the drill housing and cover the battery pack connections
with heavy duty tape, to prevent short circuit and energy
discharge which could result in a fire. Do not attempt to
open or remove any of the components.
Consult your local waste authority for information regarding
available recycling and / or disposal options.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Re-chargeable batteries.
Batteries may leak or explode if not charged or handled
correctly. Always observe the following precautions when
handling batteries. Ensure that the machine is switched off
before removing or fitting batteries.
Do not use this battery with any other product.

Do not short out, or attempt to dismantle the battery.
Do not expose the battery to flames or excessive heat.
Do not immerse in or expose the battery to water.
Do not store or transport the battery with loose metal objects
such drill and driver bits.
Batteries are prone to leakage when discharged. To avoid
damage to the product, remove or re-charge the battery
when no charge remains. Store the battery in a cool place
when not in use.
After prolonged use the battery may become hot. Before
removing the battery, switch the machine off and allow the
battery to cool down. Do not use the battery if you notice
any discoloration or distortion of the battery casing.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Note - During charging the battery will become warm as
it is being charged.
The battery supplied with this power tool contains a test
charge only and must be fully charged before use.
First read the safety instructions then follow the charging
instructions.
1 Plug the charger into a standard 230V~50Hz mains
socket outlet.
2 Do not allow the cable to become knotted or kinked.
3 This charger and battery pack are specifically designed
to work together. DO NOT attempt to charge any other
brand of cordless tool or battery pack with this charger.
4 Note the battery has a keyway which allows it to fit into
the charger only one way.
5 Place the battery pack into the charger base.
6 The Red LED indicates that the battery is charging.
TheGreenLEDindicatesthatthebatteryisfullycharged.
7 If the charger has a “set” button press this once to
start the charging process. If the charger does not
have a “set” button charging will start automatically.

9 Unplug the charger when not in use and store it in a
suitable storage cabinet.
10 Avoid charging your battery in freezing conditions as

cool down before charging the additional battery.
Always remove the battery pack and store it safely when the
cordless drill is not in use.

VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL (PIC. 2)
Simply apply light pressure to the trigger to start the drill on
a slow speed. Increasing the pressure will allow a variable
speed increase. Always remove the battery before carrying
out any adjustments or maintenance.
KEYLESS CHUCK OPERATION
The keyless chuck fitted to this drill/driver allows for the
easy installation and removal of bits and drills (Pic. 3).
The chuck has two rotating grips (A and B). Select the drill/
driver bit required and insert it into the chuck jaws, turn grip
A in a clockwise direction until jaws grip the drill/driver bit.
With your free hand hold grip B firmly and rotate grip A in
a clockwise direction until it tightens onto the drill/driver bit.
Do not use unnecessary force to tighten.
Re-fitthebattery,yourdrill/driverisnowreadyforuse.
TORQUE ADJUSTMENTS
This feature allows setting of the torque or tightening power
of your drill/driver and depending on the application, various
levels of driving power are required. When driving larger
screw diameters a higher torque power is required to drive
the screw until it’s properly seated.
When the selected torque is reached the chuck will stop
rotating (Pic. 4).
NOTE -Alwaysstartonthelowestsetting.
The symbol gives the highest torque setting and is
used when drilling and for driving larger screws.
HAMMER ACTION
This Drill has the additional feature of hammer action.
Rotatethetorqueringinananti-clockwisedirectionuntilthe
drill symbol aligns with the arrow on the chuck body (Pic. 5)
Located on the hammer drill/drill ring is the hammer symbol.
Rotate the ring until the hammer symbol is aligned with the
arrow. When using the drill in hammer mode always use
masonry drill bits recommended by your supplier.
FORWARD & REVERSE SWITCH (PIC. 6)
This feature is selected via a slide switch located above the
trigger. To select direction of the drill rotation simply push
the button fully in on the left side for reverse rotation. To
change to forward rotation, push the button fully in on the
right side of the handle.
2 SPEED GEARBOX

This drill comes with a 2 speed gearbox to give high and low
speed ranges. To change between the two speed ranges
slide the selector switch, located on top of the drill.
WARNING!
The machine is designed as a drill and driver. Do not attach
any other accessories other than those recommended.
NOTE-Asasafetyprecautionfromaccidentalengagement
while being carried pushing the forward/reverse button
into the middle or neutral position will render the drill
inoperative.
HINTS FOR SCREW DRIVING
1) Use candle or bees wax on the screw threads to speed
application.
2) Whenever possible drill small diameter pilot holes for
faster screwing, eliminating the possibility of splitting
the wood.

1 CONSEILS DE SÉCURITÉ
GÉNÉRALE
Avant d’utiliser cet appareil, il est absolument nécessaire
de lire, de comprendre et de respecter soigneusement ces
prescriptions, afin de garantir la sécurité de l’opérateur et
des autres personnes présentes, ainsi que la longévité et la
fiabilitédel’appareillui-même.
Apprendre à connaître l’outil électrique, ses limites
d’utilisationetlesrisquespotentielsquipeuventendécouler.
Conserver les présentes prescriptions dans un endroit sûr,
afin de pouvoir les consulter ultérieurement.
Eviter les mises sous tension involontaires - Débrancher les
outils électriques.
Avant de mettre l’outil électrique sous tension, vérifier que
les clavettes et les clés de réglage ont bien été extraites.
S’assurerque l’interrupteur est en position HORSTENSION
avant de brancher l’outil électrique au secteur.
S’assurer que les outils électriques sont débranchés du
secteur lorsqu’ils ne sont pas utilisés, avant de procéder
aux opérations
. de maintenance, de lubrification ou de
réglage ainsi qu’avant de remplacer les accessoires (lames,

Contrôler les éléments endommagés

La poussière produite lors de l’usinage des matériaux nuit à la
santé. Il est recommandé de porter un masque de protection
antipoussière.
Lorsde l’exécution destravaux,toujoursutiliser desdispositifs
de protection individuels: lunettes de protection, gants,
masque, protections auditives et chaussures de sécurité
antidérapantes.
Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou de bijoux; attacher les
cheveux longs, pour éviter qu’ils ne restent coincés dans des
organes mobiles.
Toujours travailler sur des bases stables.
Toujours bloquer solidement la pièces à usiner entre les
mâchoires d’un étau. Veiller à ce que la zone de travail soit
toujours propre et parfaitement en ordre.
Toujours saisir l’outil électrique des deux mains.
Ne pas ouvrir ou modifier en aucune manière l’outil électrique
ou ses accessoires. Ne pas exposer les outils électriques à
la pluie; ne pas les utiliser dans des conditions les exposant
à l’eau ou à l’humidité.
La zone de travail doit être parfaitement éclairée.

des risques d’explosion ou d’incendie dus à la présence
de matériaux combustibles, de liquides inflammables, de

éloignés de la zone de travail.
Tous les outils électriques doivent être maintenus loin de

préférable de ranger les outils électriques dans un placard
ou un local secs, fermant à clé.
Utiliser l’outil correct
Choisir l’outil approprié pour chaque type de travail. Ne
pas utiliser un outil pour exécuter une opération autre que
celle pour laquelle il a été prévu. Ne pas forcer un outil de
petites dimensions, en l’utilisant à la place d’un outil plus
puissant. Ne pas utiliser les outils pour des applications

Ne pas force l’outil électrique
Si utilisé à la vitesse pour laquelle il a été conçu, tout outil
électrique assurera un fonctionnement plus efficace et plus
sûr.
Toujours soumettre les outils à une maintenance soignée
Maintenir les outils tranchants affûtés et propres, afin
d’assurer les meilleures performances et une sécurité
maximale. Respecter les instructions de graissage et de
remplacement des accessoires. Les poignées doivent être
sèches, propres et exemptes d’huile ou de graisse.
S’assurer que les fentes de ventilation sont toujours
propres et exemptes de poussière. L’obstruction des
fentes de ventilation peut provoquer la surchauffe et
l’endommagement du moteur.
Si cet appareil doit être utilisé pour exécuter des travaux en
hauteur, il est nécessaire de prévoir un échafaudage pourvu
d’ungarde-fouetd’unrebordouencoreuneplate-forme
