Obe ProBowl User manual

1. get the App
Download the free ProBowl App to your
phone. You can nd the app in the App store
or through a link on obedog.com.
The app helps you get the most from your
ProBowl. It’s where you see real-time status of
your dog’s food or water bowl (or both), see the
trends in your dog’s eating or drinking habits,
set meal schedules, set-up auto delivery with
Amazon and get smart alerts and reminders.
• Type in your mobile number including your
city code, like this: 415-xxx-yyyy. Obe
will text you to verify it’s you. Type the
verication code into the app.
• Enter your name.
• Set up your dog’s pawle. By telling us
your dog’s weight, age, breed, Obe can
calculate the right number of calories they
need on a daily basis.
2. use the app to connect to WiFi
• For rst time setup, put the smart base as
close to your WiFi router as possible. (You
can move the bowl to a preferred location
later for feeding)
• Use the app to enter the details of your
home WiFi network name (SSID) and
password. Please note that capitalization
and spacing should match exactly what
you see when you detect the network.
3. insert the batteries
• Turn the smart base over. Unscrew the
battery cover. Place the four AA batteries
included in the ProBowl box. Wait to put
the battery cover back on until you have
successfully set up the bowl in the Obe app.
4. Connect the bowl to wifi
• Click the connect button on your phone
then place it face-down (screen down)
over the Obe logo on the smart base.
• Hold it over the toes on the paw in the Obe
logo. You will see two small indentations/
holes, which contain the light sensor.
You will also see a blinking light right next
to the light sensor. This is the “heart beat”
of your ProBowl. It helps tell the status of
the smart base and may be necessary to
nd if you need customer support.
• The light ring on the smart base will
turn solid blue upon successful WiFi
connection and you will get conrmation
on the app.
action button
Use this button to zero out the scale (tare), and
check whether your dog has been fed.
Note: ProBowl does not have an “on/off” button.
Red he’s been fed. Green go ahead.
5. Set up food and mealtimes
• When you have successfully connected
the base to WiFi and the Obe app, you
will be able to give your bowl its own
name and let Obe know the bowl size and
whether you will use it for food or water.
• If you are using your ProBowl for food,
tell Obe your dog’s food brand and set up
the meal times. If you free feed, enter one
meal time and delete any others.
• Choose whether you want to have your
pet food automatically delivered to your
doorstep at the right time. Because we
know what size bag size you have and we
weigh everything you feed your dog, we
will let your retailer know you are ready for
your next bag. You will be able to cancel it
at any time and will be emailed before any
action is taken.
6. Assemble the ProBowl
Screw the battery cover back on. Place the
bowl on the smart base. Place the bowl on a
at surface where you like to feed your dog.
Not for outside use.
7. Reset the smart base scale
Zero out the smart base (tare the smart scale)
by pressing and holding the button. You’ll see a
solid white light when it has been successfully
set. If it continues to blink white, press and
hold the button again until you see it turn solid.
