3. Operating Instructions
The OK HCT-900 uses a thermocouple feedback temperature control technique to
regulate output temperature.
Adjust heat and air flow controls to the required values for the application.
Closed loop feedback controls the temperature even when airflow is adjusted.
The air pump will continue working 90 seconds after the unit is switched off. This
function enables the heater tube to cool down effectively.

4. Removing & Replacing Components
De-Soldering Components
1. Select the proper nozzle, secure it to the handle.
2. Plug power cable into electric socket and switch on the power button.
3. Set the desired temperature. Adjust the airflow to desired volume.
4. Move the nozzle close to the component leads; maintain 3-5 mm distance. Use
the hot air to melt the solder.
5. When solder is molten, use a tweezer or other suitable tool to remove the
component from the circuit board.
Soldering Components
1. Choose the proper nozzle, secure it to the handle.
2. Apply the right amount of solder to the circuit board; position the component on
the circuit board.
3. Plug power cable into electric socket and switch on the power button.
4. Set the desired temperature. Adjust the airflow to desired volume.
5. Move the nozzle close to the component leads, blow hot air onto the leads and
melt the solder.
