However,ifthesecuritysystem was activated and reset whileyouareaway,the
disarmconfirmationwillbe4hornchirps,andthelightswillflash4timesbeforestaying
on for 30 seconds. The system will have this disarming response until the ignition
switch is turned "on". Also, anytime the security system has been activated, upon
disarmingthe LEDstatuslightwillindicate which oftheprotectedzonescaused the
activation by flashing a code of numbered flashes between pauses. Again, this
indication remains until the ignition switch is turned "on".
Thesystemmaybedisarmedwithoutthenormalconfirmationchirpsbypressing
andreleasing the transmitter'sOPTION button twicewithin2 seconds.

The Armed System
WhentheModelOneisarmed,theLEDstatuslightflashescontinuouslyinaslow
andsteadymanner.Inthisstate,anyviolationofaprotectedentryoroptionalsensor
will instantly activate, or "trigger" the system. If the system is activated:
- Thevehicle's horn ortheoptional electronic sirenwill sound. The horn will
repeatedlysound for onesecond,then pause forone second. Every ten
seconds, the horn will stop sounding completely for 5 seconds; this prevents
thehornfromoverheating. Thisaudibleoutputwill occur for the duration ofthe
activatedcycle.
Theoptionalsiren,usedwiththeUltraOne,featuressixdifferent
tones,and every 5 seconds the siren will changethe tone to generate more
attention to the vehicle.
- Theparkinglightswillflashonandoffrepeatedly. TheUltraOnewillalsoflashthe
interiorlights.
- The doors will relock. If opened, relocking will occur when the door is closed.
The horn will sound and lights will flash for 60 seconds, unless you disarm the
system with the transmitter by pressing the UNLOCK button. If needed, the valet
switchandignitionkeymaybeusedtodisarmthesystem(SelectableCodeOverride;
pages12-14). Pleasenotethatwhilethesystemisactivated,pressingtheUNLOCK
buttonwillonlydisarmthesystem,andnotunlockthedoors;simplypressUNLOCK
again to unlock the doors.
If all protected entries are secure at the end of 60 seconds, the system will stop
itselfandrearmautomaticallytodetectanotherentryattempt. Ifthereisaprotected
entrystillopen,orasensorstillinaviolatedstateattheendof60seconds,thesystem
willreactivatefortwomore60secondcycles. Ifthisoccurs,thesystemwillstillstop
itselfafteratotalof3minutesandrearmautomatically,andignoretheopenentryor
violatedsensorcircuitwhileprotectingtheothercircuits.Shouldtheentrybeclosed
or the sensor return to normal, protection will be reinstated for the affected circuit.
After the security system is activated and it reset itself, the confirmation upon
disarmingwill no longerbe the normaltwohorn chirps, andthe lights flashingtwice
andstaying on for30seconds. Instead, the systemwill have 4 hornchirps and the
lights will flash 4 times before staying on for 30 seconds. Anytime the system is
activated, the LED Status Light will change to flashing two to five times between
pauses,indicatingwhichprotectedzoneactivatedthesystem. TheLEDStatusLight
will continue flashing this Violation Code until the ignition key is turned “on”.

The Valet Switch - Valet Mode and Override
Thevaletswitch,whichistypicallycontainedwithinthesamehousingastheLED
statuslight,allowstheoperatortosuspendcertainfunctionsoftheExecutiveModel
One's normal operations. It is also used in an emergency override disarming of an
armedandactivatedsystem,shouldthetransmitterbeunavailableorinoperative.
Thesearetwoseparateanddistinctoperations:thefirstisEasyValetTM,whereby
a
disarmed
system may be placed into an "off" or "standby" condition (Valet Mode)
withoutuseof the ignition key; the second operation is Selectable Code Override,
which will disarm an
armed or activated
system and requires the use of the ignition
key. Thevaletswitchisalsousedintransmitterandfeaturesprogrammingoperations,
which are described in later sections of this guide.
Easy ValetTM :This unique feature can be utilized anytime the security system
is in the disarmed state. Easy ValetTM is unique because other security systems
requiretheignitionswitchtobe"on"toenterValetMode,butwiththeExecutiveModel
One, the ignition can be either "on" or "off", so the ignition key is not required.
Wheneverthesecuritysystemisdisarmed,simplypressandholdthevaletswitch
for1.2 secondsto enter the Valet Mode. Thesystem willconfirm it is entered Valet
Mode with two horn chirps, two light flashes and the LED status light will illuminate
andstayonconstantly.The systemwillremainin ValetModeiftheignitionisturned
"on"or"off",oreven if thesystemisdisconnectedfromthevehicle'selectricalsystem.
This is useful for servicing the vehicle; unless in a Valet Mode, the security system
willreturntoitspreviousstatewhenpowerandgroundarefirstapplied,suchaswhen
reconnecting a battery. If the system was disarmed when power is removed, it will
activateverybriefly,thendisarm,whenpoweris restored.
WhileintheValetMode,theremotetransmitterscanstilloperatethepanicfeature,
thepowerdoorlocks,andthetrunkrelease,ifsoequipped. ValetModepreventsthe
system'salarmfrombeingarmed;usingthetransmittertolockthedoorswillnotarm
the system, nor will it engage the starter interrupt. When the transmitter is used to
lockandunlock the doors whenthesystemis in Valet Mode,therewill be light flash
confirmations, but no audible chirps unless the system is programmed to do so. In
additionto theconstantlyilluminatedLEDstatuslight,thesystemwill chirpthehorn
twiceasareminderofValetModewhentheignitionswitchisturnedoff. Additionally,
thedoors willlockwhentheignitionisturned"on"and unlockwhenitisturned "off"',
ifthe systemis programmedto doso. To removethe systemfrom theValet Mode,
simply momentarily press the valet switch. The system will instantly revert to the
disarmedcondition. ToconfirmthatthesystemhasexitedtheValetMode,theLED
status light will be extinguished. Remember, Easy ValetTM only operates when the
system is disarmed - an armedstate requires using the SelectableCode Override.

Selectable Code Override: In the event the transmitter is lost, damaged, or it
