GETTING STARTED
ACTIVATE WATCH (FIRST TIME USE ONLY)
Pressandholdanykeyuntilthescreenisactivated.
SET TIME AND USER DATA
Toeffectivelyusethewatchforcalculatingcaloriesburned(basedontheuser’sage,
weight,heartratereadingandexercisetime),youareadvisedtosetthetimeandyour
personaldatainSetUpMode.Referto“TimeSettingMode”and“UserDataSetting
Mode”inSetUpMode.
IMPORTANT:
Remembertosetthetimeanduserdataaftereverybatteryreplacementorpowerreset.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
ThewatchusesaCR20323Vbattery,whichhasalreadybeeninstalled.If or
ashes,itmeansbatterypowerislowandshouldbereplaced.Ifbatterypowerislow,
alarmbeeping,backlightandheartratemeasuringfunctionswillbedisabled.Toassure
thewaterresistancetakethewatchtoalocaljewelrystoreforbatteryreplacement.
Improperreplacementwillvoidthewarranty.

HEART RATE MEASUREMENT
Youcanmeasureyourheartrateanytime(exceptinsettingsub-modes).
1. Wearthewatchonyourwristandplacengertips(suggesttouseindexngerand
middlenger)onbothmetallicplatestoenterHeartRateMode.Abeeptonewillbe
heard,“HR”bannerisdisplayedand willashtoindicatethewatchisdetecting
heartratereading.Itwilltakebetween6-10secondstodetectaheartratereading.
2. Ifavalidheartratereadingisdetected,thescreenbelowwillbedisplayed.Remove
yourngers.
3. ToexitHeartRateMode,removeyourngersfor3secondsorpressanykey.
TIPS:
Foranaccurateheartratereading,makesure:
• youarenotcurrentlyrunning,swimmingordoingexcercise
• towearthewatchonyourwristandthatyourngertipstouch
the2metallicplates
Ifyoucannotgetyourheartratereadingwithin10secondsorif
anyunusualconditionoccursduringheartratereading:
•moistenyourngertips
• makesureyourngertipsarewarmandsteady
• donotpresstoohardonthemetallicplates
• makesurethemetallicplatesandthebackofyourwatchareclean
• makesurethebackfaceofyourwatchisinclosecontactwithyourskin

NOTES:
• Heartratemeasurementcannotbeactivatedifkeypadislockedorbatterypower
islow.
• Cleanthewatchwithasoftdrycloth.
• The2metallicplatesareverysensitive.Accidentallytouchingthemwilltrigger
heartratemeasurement.Hence,topreventfromaccidentallyactivatingheartrate
measurement,youcanselecttolockthekeypad.
• Ifthebatterypowerislow,thescreenbelowwillbedisplayed.

To start or stop stopwatch:
PressST/SP/+.
To take calorie reading:
Takeaheartratereadingwhilethestopwatchisrunninginordertoviewthecalories
burned.Referto“HeartRateMeasurement”.
ThecaloriereadingshowninStopwatchModerepresentsanaverageofthecalories
lostduringthetimeelapsed.
TIP:Themorefrequentyouprovideaheartratereading,themoreaccuratethecalorie
calculation.
To reset stopwatch and calorie value:
Stoporpausethestopwatch,thenpressandholdSET/RSTfor2seconds.
NOTES:
• SetUpModecannotbeaccessedwhilestopwatchisrunning.
• Ifstopwatchisrunning,pressingMODEwillgotoTimeMode.
• Unlessyoustopthestopwatch, willblinktoremindyouthatthestopwatchis
stilltiming.

• PressMODE anytime to return to Time Mode.

To set time and date:

BEEP TONE SETTING MODE
To turn beep tone On or Off:
1. InBeepToneSettingMode,pressSET/RSTtoentersettings.
2. Press-or ST/SP/+toturnbeeptoneOnorOff. indicatesthebeeptoneisturned
Off.
3. PressModeanytimetoconrmandexitsettings.
USER DATA SETTING MODE
Toenjoythefullbenetsofthiswatch,setupyourpersonaldatabeforeyouexercise.
Thiswillenablethewatchtocalculatethelevelofcaloriesburnedwhileexercising.
Thisinformationhelpsyoutrackyourprogressovertime.
To set personal data:
1. InUserDataSettingMode,pressSET/RSTtoentersettings.
2. Press-or ST/SP/+tosetthevalues.Pressandhold-or ST/SP/+torapidlychange
thevalues.Thesettingsequenceisasfollows:yearofbirth;monthofbirth;dayof

3. PressSET/RSTtoconrmandtomovetothenextsetting.

TRAINING ZONES
Thereareseveraltrainingzonesthatarerelevanttoatnessprogram.Themost
popularzonerangeisfrom50%to80%ofyourmaximumheartrate.Thisiswhereyou
achievecardiovascularbenets,burnfat,andbecometter.Whenprogrammingyour
watch,thelowerpercentageofthezoneyouchoosebecomesyourlowerheartrate
limitandthehigherpercentagebecomestheupperheartratelimit.

AnaerobicExercise 78-90%
Generatesspeedandpower.Itworksator
abovethebody’soxygenintakecapability,
buildsmuscle,andcannotbemaintainedfor
alongperiodoftime.
TheupperandlowerheartratelimitsarecalculatedbymultiplyingyourMHRbythe
percentagesoftheselectedtrainingzone.
For example:
A40-year-oldtrainingforbasichealthmaintenance:
• HisUpperHeartRateLimit[220-40(age)]×78%
• HisLowerHeartRateLimit[220-40(age)]×65%
IMPORTANT:
Alwayswarmupbeforeexerciseandselectthetrainingzonethatbestsuitsyour
physique.Exerciseregularly,20to30minutespersession,threetofourtimesaweek
forahealthiercardiovascularsystem.
