General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for
future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt
and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
• Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot,
cold, dusty or humid, or where it is exposed to strong magnetic fields,
mechanical vibrations or long periods of sunshine.
• Heat: Do not leave the unit near any heat sources, stoves, ovens or other
appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Interference: Do not use the product near other electronic devices that
use radio frequency signals. Do not use it in hospitals or near medial
equipment. Avoid using the product within a 15cm range of a pacemaker.
• Water: Ensure that this product does not get wet, protect it from water
splashes. Do not use it with wet hands, do not immerse it in water. Do not
turn it on if it is wet.
• Battery charger: Only use the charger provided with this product. Do not
touch the USB cable of the battery charger with wet hands. Do not bend
or damage the cable. Do not use the charger if the cable or power plug are
damaged. Do not drop or cause an impact to the charger. Do not use the
charger if it is damaged.
• Damage: Do not use the charger if the USB cable or plug are damaged. In
case of damage, contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Disconnect: Grip the plug when disconnecting the charger; do not pull on
the cable.
• Personal usage: This product is intended for personal use only; it is
not suitable for commercial use. Do not use it for anything other than its
intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual.
• Restricted usage: The product is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the equipment by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Children: This product is not a toy. Keep it away from young children.
Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near
children.

• Repair: The product has no user-serviceable parts contained inside. Do not
attempt to repair, disassemble or modify it. Any modifications could void
your warranty.
• Packaging: Plastic packaging materials can present a suffocation hazard
for young children and babies. Keep all packaging materials out of
children’s reach to ensure they do not play with these.
• Thunderstorm: Do not use the product and its charger during a
thunderstorm to prevent malfunction and lower the risk of electric shock.
• Explosive environments: Turn off the phone in potentially explosive
environments (such as at a petrol station or other refuelling points).
• Aircraft: Turn off the phone when boarding an aircraft.
• Road safety: Do not use the phone while driving a vehicle. Keep your
hands free to operate the vehicle at all times. Obey all local laws that apply
to mobile phone usage in your country.
• Battery handling: Do not expose the battery to high temperatures. Never
dispose of the battery in a fire. Observe local regulations for the disposal of
batteries.
• Storage: Do not store your mobile phone near metal objects such as
coins, keys or jewellery that could scratch the product. Do not store it near
magnetic fields.
• Memory cards: Always handle the phone’s memory card(s) with care.
Protect the card(s) from static electricity and strong shocks.
• Disposal: When discarding this device, observe local regulations and
dispose of it appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for
advice on facilities.
• Noncompliance: We accept no liability for any damage caused by
noncompliance with these instructions or any other improper use or

Getting Started
Beforerstuse
• Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have
made sure your new mobile phone is undamaged and in good working
order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Unwind the charger cable to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do
not use the charger if it or the cable are damaged. In case of damage,
contact our after sales support line for advice on examination, repair or
return of the damaged product
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the features and operating
principles of your new mobile phone. Pay particular attention to the safety
instructions on the previous pages.
Inserting the SIM card(s) and battery
• To open the back of the phone, gently slide the back cover down, pushing
with your thumb, then remove the cover.
• If the battery is in place (see page 7 for location), remove it.
• Insert your SIM card(s) and micro SD card in the dedicated space(s)
underneath the battery (see page 7).
• Once the memory cards are securely in place, insert the battery (supplied)
into the phone, making sure to align the pins with the contacts.
• Reinstall the back cover. It will lock into place.
Charging the battery
The battery has been partially charged at the factory. To perform all functions,
we recommend you fully recharge it as follows:
• Connect the battery charger to the mobile phone.
• Insert the plug of the battery charger into an electrical outlet and switch on
power to the outlet.
• When the phone indicates a full charge (the battery status icon is located
in the top right corner of the display), switch off power to the charger
and disconnect the charger from the power point and the cable from the
device.
Follow the above charging procedure whenever your device indicates a low
battery charge.

Basic operations
Turning on
• Press and hold the End/Power [ ] button to turn on the mobile phone.
Display screen
• A few moments after it is turned on, the screen
will display several icons indicating signal
strength, SIM card(s) in use, sound mode,
Bluetooth connection, keypad lock, battery
status, date, time etc., as illustrated on the right.
• The screen will turn off automatically after some
time of inactivity. Press any button to illuminate
the screen again.
Keypad lock
• When the keypad is locked, “Unlock” appears in
the bottom left corner of the display.
• To unlock the keyboard, press the Left selection button, then press [ *].
• To lock the keyboard, press the [ * ] Star button, then press the Right
selection button.
Silent mode
• Press and hold the [ # ] Hash button to turn the phone to silent; press this
button again to restore normal indoor mode.
Dual SIM operation
• This phone can be operated with two SIM cards. If you have two SIM cards
inserted, you will be prompted to choose a SIM card before you make a
call or send a message. You will also have to choose on which SIM card to
store messages and/or use data.
Date and time setting
• See page 15 for how to set the date and time.
Menu
• Press the Left selection button to access the menu (menu operation
instructions start on page 11).
Names
• Press the Right selection button for a shortcut to the phone book.

Making a call
Use the number buttons to enter the number you want to call (including country
and area code, if necessary), then press the Call button (If you have two SIM
cards activated, you will be prompted to select the appropriate card first).
Answering a call
When the phone rings, press the Call button to answer it.
Ending / rejecting a call
• Press the End/Power [ ] button to end or reject a call.
Hands-free operation
• Plug the earphones and microphone cable into the Hands-free/Data connec-
tion. When the phone rings, you will hear the ring tone through the earphones.
• Press the Call button to answer a call, then speak into the microphone.
Press the End/Power [ ] button to end a call.
Viewing a missed call
• When you have missed a call, the missed call icon will appear.
• To view the missed call, press the Left selection button to display the
number of the missed call, then press the button again to select Details
and view the call details: date and time of the call, phone number and on
which SIM the caller has called.
Call divert
• When you inform the service provider to activate call divert, you can
forward all incoming calls to another number even though your phone is off
or has no reception (see page 16). (Charges may apply for this service.)
Call barring
• This feature must be supported by your service provider. When the call
barring function is activated, you can answer or make a call according
to your choice of barring mode. Access this feature via the menu, call
settings, SIM1/2, Call barring (see page 15).
Call waiting
• This is a network dependent feature. After this function is activated, your
phone notifies you when there is an incoming call during a call (see page
15). (Charges may apply for this service.)

Menu operation
When the screen is unlocked, “Menu” will be shown in the bottom left corner
of the display screen and “Contacts” in the right corner.
NOTE: When the phone has not been used for a while, you will have to press
OK, twice, in order to display the Home screen.
• Press the Left selection button to display your menu options:
Contacts, Call Logs, Messages, Calendar, Multimedia, My Files, Extras,
Settings, Internet.
• Press the appropriate section of the Left / Right / Up / Down navigation
ring to select a menu option, then press the Left selection button to
select OK and enter the menu.
• Press the Right selection button to select Back and go to the previous
menu screen.

Contacts
Enter the “Contacts” menu and choose from the following options: phone
storage and SIM card storage. Both storage options are available for storing
your phone contact details.
• Quick search
Enter the first letter(s) of the contact you want to phone for a quick display
of all your contacts that start with the letter entered.
• New
Choose this menu item to add new names in your contacts. You have the
option to save any new entry to the phone storage or SIM card storage.
• Import/Export
Here you can copy all entries and switch between SIM card and phone storage.
• Delete
Choose this option to delete names from the SIM card or phone book.
• Delete multiple
Choose this option to delete multiple contacts at the same time.
• Others
Here you can check the memory status of the phone and SIM card and
preferred storage.
Call logs
Your phone keeps lists of incoming and outgoing calls, even for calls that did
not connect. The most recent calls are listed first.
• Choose from the following call history options: missed calls, dialled calls,
received calls and rejected calls. You can also delete call logs of missed,
dialled and answered calls, and view call times and data usage.

Messages
Enter the “Messages” menu to exchange messages with other mobile phone
users and to manage your voice mail box.
• MMS
New MMS: Enter details (phone number or email address) for the recipient
of the message, copy and blind copy, subject and message content. Once
you have entered the message, select Done and choose the send option
(send, send and save, save to drafts, or exit).
The Inbox holds all your received messages, the Outbox holds your saved
messages, sent messages are stored in the Sent box and draft messages
in the Draft box.
Message settings: This menu item provides options for setting your server
profile, compose (message signature), send and retrieval options and
preferred storage.
• Write message
Enter this submenu item directly to write a new text message (sms). Select
Options for template use, adding contact info, input method (for example,
by capital letter, small letter, numeric etc.).
• Received messages are in the Inbox, saved messages in the Outbox, sent
messages in the Sent folder and drafts in the Drafts folder.
• Templates
Enter this submenu item to select one of many SMS templates provided.
• Voice mail server
This function works like a telephone recording service: when you have a
missed call, it can be transferred to the voice mailbox where the caller can
leave a voice message. You have two profiles for voice mail. (Extra charges
may apply from your service provider.)
• Options
This menu item provides options for message settings, setting your server
profile, preferred storage, send and retrieval options and memory status.
Calendar
Enter the “Calendar” menu to check the date, set a new schedule or go to a
specific date to check your schedules.

Multimedia
Enter the “Multimedia” menu and choose from the following options: audio
player, video player, FM radio, game (Snake).
• Audio player
Select this option to use the audio player to play music.
• Video player
Select this option to watch your videos. Open the video player and view
all video files. Then choose in the submenu from options to play, adjust
brightness, rotate the screen, repeat, shuffle or view your video details.
• FM radio
Select this menu item to enter the FM radio application. You will be
prompted to connect earphones. On first use, press the Left selection
button to choose Options, then select Auto search and Save. The radio
application will search for all available FM channels and store them in the
Channel list. Select Manual search to fine tune, if necessary. Choose Open
Speaker to play on loudspeaker. Choose Record to record what you are
listening to.
In the Channel list, choose Play to play the station, delete it or edit the
channel name.
• Game: Snake
Select this menu item to play the Snake game.
My Files
The “My Files” menu displays the files kept on the micro SD card and the
total and available storage space. Depending on the option selected, you
can open or delete folders or create new ones. On different objects (menu
options), there are different operations.
Extras
The “Extras” menu contains various tools: Alarm, Bluetooth Wireless
Technology, Calculator, Recorder, etc.

• Alarm
The Alarm function lets you set three different alarms. Select an Alarm and
then chose Edit to set it to on or off, set the time and repeat options.
• Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
This phone supports Bluetooth Wireless Technology. Enter this submenu
to connect the phone to other Bluetooth enabled devices. First set the
Bluetooth connection to “On” (Power) and then follow the prompts to
search for devices, view paired and connected devices.
• Calculator
Enter the Calculator submenu and then use the number buttons to enter
numeric values and the navigation ring to select the function.
• Recorder
Select this menu item to open the sound recorder and view the sound
files. In the Options menu, select Start recording or Record file list. Select
Storage to choose your preferred storage and File format to choose your
desired file format.
• Facebook / Google / Java / Yahoo / MSN, etc.
Quick bookmarks for easy selection of various web pages.
Settings
Enter the “Settings” menu to set your preferred settings. Submenu items
include setup options for Dual SIM card, network, security, call and default.
• Call settings
Setup call settings such as “Call Divert”, “Call Waiting” , “Call Barring” and
“Dual-Sim”.
• Phone settings
Setup phone settings such as “Date & Time”, “Language”, “Shortcut
Settings”, “Auto Power On / Off” and “Restore Factory Settings”.
NOTE: When selecting “Restore Factory Settings”, all previous settings will
be cleared and restored back to factory default settings.
• Display
Setup display settings such as “ Wallpaper”, “Idle Display Settings”,
“Contrast”, “Backlight Time” and “Auto Keypad Lock”.

• Security
Setup security settings such as “Pin”, “Phone Lock”, “Guard Lock” and
other security and privacy settings.
• Proles
Select your preferred profile “Normal”, “Silent” and “Indoor”. Press the
Menu button to enter the option, then adjust the profile settings.
• Connections
Configure your network operator with this option.
• Internet
Enter the “Internet” menu to connect to the internet and choose the SIM
you want to browse with. Once in the menu, you can access the following
submenus:
• Bookmarks
You can add favourite websites to the Bookmarks list for quick reference.
• History
This lists the website addresses you recently visited to facilitate your visit
to the site.
• Input URL
Input the URL (web address) of the service you want to visit, tap the option
button and select Go.
• Options - Home page
Select Home page to connect to the home page you have set. If no home
page has been set, the phone will connect to the default website set by the
network operator.
• Options - Settings
Here you can set up the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) server for
each SIM, set a default homepage, font size and restore your internet
settings to factory default settings.
• Options - Exit
Exit to the main menu.

Goods or Parts Notice
Unfortunately, from time to time, faulty products are manufactured which need to
be returned to the supplier for repair.
Please be aware that if your product is capable of retaining user-generated data
(such as files stored on a computer hard drive, telephone numbers stored on
a mobile telephone, songs stored on a portable media player, games saved on
a games console or files stored on a USB memory stick) during the process of
repair, some or all of your stored data may be lost. We recommend you save this
data elsewhere prior to sending the product for repair.
You should also be aware that rather than repairing goods, we may replace them
with refurbished goods of the same type or use refurbished parts in the repair
process.
Please be assured though, refurbished parts or replacements are only used
wheretheymeetTempo’sstringentqualityspecications.
