General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for
future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt
and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
• Environment:Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold
or humid, or where it is exposed to strong magnetic fields, mechanical
vibrations or long periods of sunshine.
• Heat:Do not leave the unit near any heat sources, stoves, ovens or other
appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Interference:Do not use the product near other electronic devices that
use radio frequency signals. Do not use it in hospitals or near medial
equipment. Avoid using the product within a 15cm range of a pacemaker.
• Batterycharger:Only use the charger provided with this product. Do not
touch the USB cable of the battery charger with wet hands. Do not bend
or damage the cable. Do not use the charger if the cable or power plug are
damaged. Do not drop or cause an impact to the charger. Do not use the
charger if it is damaged.
• Damage: Do not use the charger if the USB cable or plug are damaged. In
case of damage, contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Disconnect: Grip the plug when disconnecting the charger; do not pull on

not suitable for commercial use. Do not use it for anything other than its
intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual.
• Restrictedusage:The product is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the equipment by a person

Getting Started
Beforerstuse
• Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have
made sure your new mobile phone is undamaged and in good working
order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Unwind the USB cable to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not
use the charger if it or the USB cable are damaged. In case of damage,
contact our after sales support line for advice,
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the features and operating
principles of your new mobile phone.
InsertingtheSIMcard(s)andbattery
• Unscrew the two screws at the back of the phone and open the cover.
• If the battery is in place, remove it (refer to page 7).
• Insert your SIM card(s) and micro SD card in the dedicated space(s). First
insert the micro SD card, then insert a SIM card and, if you want to use two
SIM cards, insert the second SIM card on top, as marked on the housing
(see also page 7).
• Once the memory and SIM cards are securely in place, insert the battery
(supplied) into the phone, making sure to align the pins with the contacts.
• Reinstall the back cover and tighten the screws.
Chargingthebattery
The battery has been partially charged at the factory. To perform all functions,
we recommend you fully recharge it as follows:
• Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to the data connection of the
mobile phone (see pages 6-7) and the larger end to the battery charger.
• Insert the plug of the battery charger into an electrical outlet and switch on
power to the outlet.
• When the phone indicates a full charge (the battery status icon is located
in the top right corner of the display), switch off power to the charger and
disconnect the charger from the power point and the USB cable from the
device.
Follow the above charging procedure whenever your device indicates a low
battery charge.

Basicoperations
Turningon
• Press and hold the End/Powerbutton to turn on the mobile phone.
Displayscreen
• A few moments after it is turned on, the screen
will display several icons indicating signal
strength, SIM card(s) in use, sound mode,
Bluetooth connection, keypad lock, battery
status, date, time etc., as illustrated on the right.
• The screen will turn off automatically after some
time of inactivity. Press any button to illuminate
the screen again.
Keypadlock
• When the keypad is locked, “Unlock” appears in
the bottom left corner of the display.
• To unlock the keyboard, press theLeftselection button, then press[*].
• To lock the keyboard in standby mode, press the End/Powerbutton.
Silentmode
• Press and hold the [# ]Hashbutton to turn the phone to silent; press this
button again to restore normal indoor mode.
DualSIMoperation
• This phone can be operated with two SIM cards. If you have two SIM cards
inserted, you will be prompted to choose a SIM card before you make a
call or send a message. You will also have to choose on which SIM card to
store messages and/or other data.
Dateandtimesetting
• See page 17 for how to set the date and time.
Menu
• Press the Leftselectionbutton to access the menu (menu operation
instructions start on page 11).
Names
• Press the Rightselectionbutton for a shortcut to the phone book.

Makingacall
Use the numberbuttons to enter the number you want to call (including country
and area code, if necessary), then press the Callbutton (If you have two SIM
cards activated, you will be prompted to select the appropriate card first).
Answeringacall
When the phone rings, press the Callbutton to answer it.
Ending/rejectingacall
• Press the End/Powerbutton to end or reject a call.
Hands-freeoperation
• Plug the earphones and microphone cable into the Micro USB socket. The
ring tone will now be emitted through the earphones.
• Press the Callbutton to answer a call, then speak into the microphone.
Press the End/Power button to end a call. Alternatively, use the button on
your headphone to answer or end a call.
Viewingamissedcall
• When you have missed a call, the missed call icon will appear.
• To view the missed call, press the Leftselectionbutton to display the
number of the missed call. Press the button again to select OPTIONS
to view the call details, call back the caller, send a text message, send a
multimedia message, save to phone book or delete the number.
Calldivert
• When you inform the service provider to activate call divert, you can
forward all incoming calls to another number even though your phone is off
or has no reception (changes may apply) (see page 17).
Callbarring
• This feature must be supported by your service provider. When the call
barring function is activated, you can answer or make a call according to
your choice of barring mode. Access this feature via the menu, Call Centre,
then choose SIM1 or SIM2, Call barring (see page 17).
Callwaiting
• This is a network dependent feature. After this function is activated, your
phone notifies you when there is an incoming call during a call (changes
may apply) (see page 17).

Menuoperation
When the screen is unlocked, “Menu” will be shown in the bottom left corner
of the display screen and “Names” in the right corner.
• Press the Leftselectionbutton to display your menu options: Messaging,
Phone book, Call Centre, Setting, Fun & Games, Multimedia, Services,
Tools and Profiles.
• Press the appropriate section of the Left/Right/Up/Downnavigation
ringto select a menu option, then press the Leftselectionbutton to
select OK and enter the menu.
• Press the Rightselectionbutton to select Back and go to the previous
menu screen.

CallCentre
Your phone keeps lists of incoming and outgoing calls, even for calls that did
not connect. The most recent calls are listed first.
Callhistory
• Enter the “Call Centre” menu in the main menu and then choose Call
History. Choose from the following call history options: missed calls, dialled
calls, received calls. You can also delete call logs of missed, dialled and
received calls, and examine call times, costs and use of messages.
Callsettings
• Here you can check or activate features such as call waiting, call divert,
call barring, call time reminders, auto redial, and answer mode. (Some
options may incur a fee from your service provider/s).
Multimedia
Enter the “Multimedia” menu and choose from the following options: audio
player, camera, image viewer, video player, video recorder, FM radio, sound
recorder.
• Audioplayer
Select this option to use the audio player to play music.
• Camera
Select this option to take photos with your mobile phone. The image to be
captured will be displayed on the screen.
Press the Enter/Selectbutton to take the photo, the picture just taken
will be displayed. You can send it via multimedia message, or via Bluetooth
wireless technology, or delete it (under Option), or go back to using the
Camera menu.
The camera options menu includes settings for photos (view the pictures
taken and stored), camera settings (anti-flicker, delay timer) and image
settings (size and quality), switch to video recorder, scene mode (auto or
night mode) and an option to restore factory default settings.
Important: When restoring factory default settings, be aware that you
will lose all user installed applications and data. We therefore strongly
recommend that you back up important data first.

Select this menu item, then choose the submenu Options to view the
following options:
View View captured images and open them with the selection key
Useas Use the current photo for the wallpaper list, power on/off
display list, Bluetooth or MMS
Rename Change the name of the photo

Send Send via Bluetooth or via MMS

View more information of the image such as resolution, size
and creation date
• Videoplayer
Select this menu item to open the video player and view all recorded video
files. Then choose in the submenu from options to play, send, rename or
delete the video file.
• Videorecorder
Select this menu item to open the video recorder. Move the phone and
view the footage to be recorded on the screen. Press the Enter/Select
button to start recording the video footage, press it again to stop recording
(and again to resume, and so on). When you have finished recording, select
Stop to save the footage.
Enter the Options submenu to select appropriate camcorder settings.
• FMradio
Select this menu item to enter the FM radio application. You will be
prompted to connect earphones. On first use, press the Leftselection
button to choose Options, then select Auto search. Select Yes when
prompted to search and save channels. The radio application will search
for all available FM channels and store them in the Channel list. Select
Manual input to fine tune, if necessary. Choose Settings to set Background
play and Loudspeaker to on or off.
In the Channel list, choose Play to play the station, delete it or edit the
channel name.

• Soundrecorder
Select this menu item to open the sound recorder and view the sound files.
In the Options menu, select New Record (to start recording), play and list.
Select the settings option to choose your preferred recording audio quality.
Phonebook
• Enter the “Phonebook” menu to add a new contact or view your existing
contacts on your SIM cards and phone storage. Choose the Options
submenu on existing contacts to access the following options:
• View, Send text message, Send multimedia message, Call, Edit, Delete,
Copy or Phone book settings.
Userproles
In the “User profiles” menu you can activate or customise the following user
profiles: General, Silent, Meeting and Outdoor. In each profile you have options
for tone setting, volume, alert type, ring type, extra tone and answer mode.
Messaging
Enter the “Messaging” menu to exchange messages with other mobile phone
users and to manage your voice mail box.

• Writemessage
Enter this submenu item directly to write a new text message (SMS) or
multimedia message (MMS). First select Text Message, then select Options
to select the recipient of the message, change input method, save the
draft message, and advanced options such as to add the name or number
into your template use, PHB (phone book) number and input method (for
example, by capital letter, small letter, numeric etc.).
• The Inboxholds received messages, the Outbox saved messages. Saved
messages are stored in Drafts.
• Messagesettings:This menu item contains the following options:
TextMessage Option to set up SIM1 and SIM2 settings in
addition to Save Sent Message options
MultimediaMessage Option to set up multimedia messages
ServiceMessage Option to enable/disable push and service
loading
PreferredStorage Phone or SIM card(s)

• MMS
NewMMS:Enter details (phone number or email address) for the recipient
of the message, copy and blind copy, subject and message content. Once
you have entered the message, select Done and choose the send option
(send, send and save, save to drafts, or exit).
The Inboxholds all your received messages, the Outbox holds your saved
messages, sent messages are stored in the Sent box and draft messages
in the Draft box.
Messagesettings:This menu item provides options for setting your server
profile, compose (message signature), send and retrieval options and
memory status.
Aboutus:Here you can view details about the MMS software version.
NOTE:Before using multimedia messaging (MMS), please note that you will
have to enter your network settings. To do so, go to MMS Message
settings, Server profile and then select your service provider. If yours
is not listed, please ask your service provider for the required settings.

Tools
The “Tools” menu contains various tools: Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Setting, Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, File Manager and World Clock.
• Bluetooth®WirelessTechnology
This phone supports Bluetooth wireless technology. Enter this submenu
to connect the phone to other Bluetooth enabled devices. First set the
Bluetooth connection to “On” (Power) and then go to the My Device
submenu to search for devices or view paired and connected devices.
In the Visibility submenu you can set visibility options for the Bluetooth
enabled device; in the My Name submenu you can change the name of the
Bluetooth enabled device.
• Alarm
The Alarm function lets you set three different alarms. Select an Alarm and
then chose Edit to set it to on or off, set the time and repeat and snooze
options.
• Calendar
Enter the Calendar submenu and select Options. Enter Jump to date and
use the navigationringand numberbuttonsto go to the desired date
(year - month - day), then press OK.
• Calculator
Enter the Calculator submenu and then use the numberbuttons to enter
numeric values and the navigationring to select the function.
• Filemanager
Use this menu to access and manage your files on the memory card.
Options include: copy, move, delete, send via MMS or Bluetooth, rename,
and other actions through the Options submenu.
• Worldclock
Use this to check the time around the world.

Settings
Enter the “Settings” menu to set your preferred settings. Submenu items
include Phone settings, Dual SIM settings, Network settings, Security
settings, and Restore settings to factory default.
• Phonesettings
Here you can set the current date and time, display language, preferred
input method, display options, dedicated keys, flight mode, screen auto
lock and miscellaneous settings. Just select the appropriate submenu item
and follow the prompts to adjust to your preference.
• DualSIMsettings
Enter this submenu to select which SIM card you want to use. You can
enable one SIM card only or both. When you have both enabled, you will
be prompted to select an appropriate SIM card when you are making a call
or sending a message.
• Networksettings
Enter this submenu to set up your network settings. When dual SIM
mode is activated, you can perform the network setup for SIM1 and SIM2
separately.
• Securitysettings
Enter this submenu to set security settings (SIM card lock, phone lock,
password) to on or off. The default phone lock code is 0000. (Contact your
service provider(s) for SIM lock codes.)
• Restorefactorysettings
Enter this submenu to restore factory settings for wallpaper, screen saver,
ring tone etc. You will need to enter the phone lock code (default: 0000).

Fun&Games
Enter the “Fun & Games” menu to play the “Snake” game. Select Game
Settings to set the audio to on or off.
Services
Enter the “Services” menu to connect to the internet.
NOTE:Contentsandoptionsdependonyourserviceprovider. For more
detailed information, please consult your service provider.
• Internetservice
Your phone is equipped with a browser for connection to the internet. Once
in the Internet service menu, you can access the following submenus:
Homepage:Select Home page to connect to the home page you have
set. If no home page has been set, the phone will connect to the default
website set by the network operator.
Bookmarks: You can add favourite websites to the Favorites list for quick
reference.
SearchorInputURL:Input the URL (web address) of the internet service
you want to visit, tap the option button and select Go.
Settings:Here you can check your data accounts and set up browser
options and preferences.
• Dataaccounts
Consult the service provider for the required settings. Enter the settings
provided by your service provider for MMS and internet access.
