1 Preface
Dear customer, Thank you very much for purchasing this product made by OPTIMUM. You
have purchased a product which has been designed according to state of the art.
It meets the requirements of the applicable European and national guidelines.
To maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, you must observe as user these user
manual !
Damages caused by the disregard of this user manual are not subject to warranty. The dealer
will not accept liability for any resulting defects or problems.
Every person involved with the installation, operation and maintenance of this machine light
have to:

2 Safety instructions
2.1 Classification of hazards
We classify the safety warnings into different categories. The table below gives an overview of
the classification of symbols (ideogram) and the warning signs for each specific danger and its
(possible) consequences.

2.2 For your own safety
The luminaire has been designed in accordance with state-of-the-art standards, manufactured
with utmost care using high-quality materials, and tested. Nevertheless, its use may constitute a
risk to persons or cause material damage.
Read all enclosed instructions and information.
Please observe the warnings included in the documentation and attached to the unit.
The device must only be used in technically perfect condition, and only by persons being
aware of the risks anddangers involved in operating the device.
Keep this document available near the device.
CAUTION!
Risk of blinding caused by bright light source. Looking directly into the light source may
cause temporarily impaired vision and afterimages. This may result in irritations,
inconveniences, impairments or even accidents.
Do not look into the light source.
Position luminaire in such a way that looking directly into the light source is avoided.
WARNING!
Explosion hazard. Operating the luminaire in rooms subject to explosion hazards can
trigger an explosion and result in serious injuries or death.
Do not operate the luminaire in rooms subject to explosion hazards.
DANGER!
Danger due to electric current. Improper use and faulty work on the luminaire may result
in injuries and material damage.
The connection must be made by a trained skilled electrician only.
Compare the mains voltage with the nominal voltage and the frequency specified on the rat-
ing plate and makesure that they are identical.
Have maintenance and repair work carried out by a skilled electrician only.
Before performing work on the luminaire, disconnect the luminaire from the power supply.
CAUTION!
Safe mounting. A luminaire falling down can result in personal injuries and material
damage.
Use only the delivered fastening elements.
Mount the fastening elements correctly.
WARNING!
Hazard caused by unsuitable spare parts. Unsuitable spare parts can result in injuries
and material damage.
Only spare parts released by the manufacturer may be used as spare parts.
ATTENTION!
Danger due to incident laser beam. Direct or indirect incidence of a laser beam may
result in the destruction of the LED.
Use the luminaire only outside the range of action of high-performance lasers such as a cut-
ting laser.
ATTENTION!
Danger due to high ambient temperature. Exceeding the allowed ambient temperature
will shorten the useful life of the electronic components.

is suitable for wet environments.

4.2 Connection
WARNING!
Danger of death due to electric shock.
The connection must be made by a trained skilled electrician only.
ATTENTION!
Material damage caused by wrong mains voltage. Damage or destruction of the
luminaire.
Compare the mains voltage with the nominal voltage and the frequency specified on the rat-
ing plate and make sure that they are identical.
Use connecting cable with strands which have a conductor cross-section of at least 1.5
mm².
ATTENTION!
Material damage caused by unsuitable connecting cable. Degree of protection of the
luminaire is not guaranteed. Penetrating humidity damages the luminaire.
Use connecting cable in conjunction with the cable gland with strain relief already installed
on the luminaire which guarantee the degree of protection of the luminaire.

5 Operation
Switch-on and switch-off
INFORMATION
The luminaire is equipped with a switch of its own. The luminaire will switch on when the switch
is turned on.
6 Maintenance
Replacing the lamp.
WARNING!
Danger of death due to electric shock.
Disconnect the luminaire from the power supply.
INFORMATION
The luminaire is maintenance-free. A lamp replacement is not required. If nevertheless a lamp
should break down, the complete luminaire must be replaced.
ATTENTION!
Material damage caused by using wrong cleaning agents. Damage to the luminaire.
Make sure the cleaning agent is compatible with the surface.
7 Appendix
7.1 Liability claims/warranty
Besides the legal liability claims for defects of the customer towards the seller, the manufac-
turer of the product, OPTIMUM GmbH, Robert-Pfleger-Straße 26, D-96103 Hallstadt, does not
grant any further warranties unless they are listed below or were promised as part of a single
contractual provision.
Liability or warranty claims are processed at OPTIMUM GmbH's discretion either
directly or through one of its dealers.
Any defective products or components of such products will either be repaired or
replaced by components which are free from defects. Title to replaced products or
components is transferred to OPTIMUM Maschinen Germany GmbH.
The automatically generated original proof of purchase which shows the date of purchase,
the type of machine and the serial number, if applicable, is the precondition in order to
assert liability or warranty claims. If the original proof of purchase is not presented, we are
not able to perform any services.
Defects resulting from the following circumstances are excluded from liability and warranty
claims:
- Using the product beyond the technical options and proper use, in particular due to over-
straining of the machine.
- Any defects arising by one's own fault due to faulty operations or if the operating manual

- Inattentive or incorrect handling and use of improper equipment
- Unauthorized modifications and repairs
- Insufficient installation and safeguarding of the machine
- Disregarding the installation requirements and conditions of use
- atmospheric discharges, overvoltage and lightning strokes as well as chemical influences
Neither are the following items covered by liability or warranty claims:
- Wearing parts and components which are subject to normal and intended wear, such as
V-belts, ball bearings, lighting, filters, seals, etc.
- Non reproducible software errors
Any services, which OPTIMUM GmbH or one of its agents performs in order to fulfil any
additional warranty are neither an acceptance of the defects nor an acceptance of its obli-
gation to compensate. These services neither delay nor interrupt the warranty period.
The court of jurisdiction for legal disputes between businessmen is Bamberg.
If any of the aforementioned agreements is totally or partially inoperative and/or invalid, a
provision which nearest approaches the intent of the guarantor and remains within the
framework of the limits of liability and warranty which are specified by this contract is
deemed agreed.
7.2 Disposal via municipal collection facilities
Disposal of used electrical and electronic components (Applicable in the countries of the Euro-
pean Union and other European countries with a separate collecting system for those devices).
The sign on the product or on its packing indicates that the product must not be handled as
common household waste, but that is needs to be disposed of at a central collection point for
recycling. Your contribution to the correct disposal of this product will protect the environment
and the public health. Incorrect disposal constitutes a risk to the environment and public health.
Recycling of material will help reduce the consumption of raw materials. For further information
about the recycling of this product, please consult your District Office, municipal waste collec-
tion station or the shop where you have purchased the product.
