WALL MICROPHONE
OPERATION
SENSITIVITYADJUSTMENT: Press the ON key andtalk about20-40 cm away, turn theSENSITIVITY knobto the
right until the LED lights up in amber. It is permissible that, coinciding with the sound peaks, it also lights up in red.
ANNOUNCEMENT BROADCAST: Push the ON key to give an announcement and hold it on. The MESSAGING
LED lights in green to confirm the correct broadcast of the announcement.
FIFO & MIX MODES: First-In-First-Out mode (with jumper) inhibits the rest of 2694M by preventing unwanted
overlapping of other announcements. When the line is busy, the MESSAGING LED of the remaining 2694M lights
up in red and if another microphone tries to give an announcement,an acoustic warning tone is locally activated.
The MESSAGING LED lights up green only on the 2694M that is broadcasting the announcement.
Working under MIX mode (without jumper) the 2694M is not inhibited from the other in the line. The MESSAGING
LED lights up in red anyway when the line is busy.
JUMPER VOICE-TO-1M/3M: It'sused to get the audio signal outputthrought 1M / 3M or not when the microphone
is activated. In intercom applications, might be interesting that voice is transmitted in all rooms except the same
onewhere the announcementisgiven to avoid larsen effect(without jumper).Otherwise,if 1M / 3M musthaveaudio signal available always when themicrophone is activated, then it
must be left with jumper.
WIRING: To prevent humming, the minimum section recommended is 1,5 mm² for power terminals (5 & 6) and for the audio GND terminal (2), considering that section must be the
same in all these cables (and so on impedance). The minimum section of the rest of cables is 0,25 mm².
PASS OUTPUT PILOT: Output available to connect a light indicator; it is also possible to connect a RY-PA5 relay.
