●停電したときは、電源を切ってください。停電復旧時にファンが突

●ファンを分解・改造しないでください。感電・けがの原因になりま
す。内部の点検や修理は、お買い上げになった支店または営業所に
連絡してください。
注意
●ファンの仕様値を超えて使用しないでください。感電・けが・装置
破損の原因になります。
●ファンの開口部に指や物を入れないでください。けがの原因になり
ます。
●運転中および停止後しばらくの間は、モーター部に触れないでくだ
さい。モーター部の表面が高温のため、やけどの原因になります。
●ファンの回転部（羽根）、リード線を持たないでください。けがの原
因になります。
●ファンの周囲には、可燃物を置かないでください。火災・やけどの
原因になります。
●ファンの周囲には、通風を妨げる障害物を置かないでください。装
置破損の原因になります。
●過負荷保護装置、漏電遮断器を設置してください。火災の原因にな
ります。
●運転中は回転部（羽根）に触れないでください。けがの原因になり
ます。保護のため、オプションのフィンガーガードを使用してくだ
さい。
●異常が発生したときは、ただちに電源を切ってください。火災・感
電・けがの原因になります。
●ファンは、正常な運転状態でも、モーター部の表面温度
が70 ℃を超えることがあります。運転中のファンに接近
できるときは、図の警告ラベルをはっきり見える位置に
貼ってください。やけどの原因になります。
●ファンを廃棄するときは、できるだけ分解し、産業廃棄物として処
理してください。

準備
■製品の確認
パッケージを開けたら、次のものがすべて揃っているか、確認してく
ださい。
不足している場合や破損している場合は、お買い求めの支店・営業所

製品が正しいか、製品の銘板に記載された品名で確認してください。

設置
■設置場所
ファンは機器組み込み用に設計、製造されています。
風通しがよく、点検が容易な次のような場所に設置してください。
・屋内に設置された筐体内（換気口を設けてください）
・使用周囲温度 - 10 〜+60 ℃（凍結しないこと）
・使用周囲湿度 85％以下（結露しないこと）
・爆発性雰囲気、有害なガス（硫化ガスなど）、および液体のないところ
・直射日光が当たらないところ
・塵埃や鉄粉などの少ないところ
・水（雨や水滴）、油（油滴）、およびその他の液体がかからないところ
・塩分の少ないところ
・連続的な振動や過度の衝撃が加わらないところ
・電磁ノイズ（溶接機、動力機器など）が少ないところ
・放射性物質や磁場がなく、真空でないところ
■設置方法
ファンは耐振動性にすぐれ、熱伝導効果が高い平滑な金属板に設置し
てください。
総合カタログの取付穴参考寸法図をもとに、使用する機器に取付穴を
あけて、ファンをねじ（付属していません）で固定してください。ね
じサイズは M5、締付トルクは 1.2 N·m です。
風の方向、回転方向は、ファンフレーム側面の
▲AIRFLOW ROTATION の表示をご覧ください。▲印の方向が吐
き出し側です。反対側が吸い込み側です。 印の方向が回転方向です。
■可変抵抗器の取り付け
1. 下図のように絶縁シートを使用し、可変抵抗器を取付板の穴に差し
込んでください。
2. 目盛板、菊座金を入れ、ナットで締め付けてください。締付トルク
は、0.45 N·m 以下です。
3. ツマミを取り付け、止めねじ（M4）で固定してください。締付トル
クは、0.4 N·m 以下です。
重要
可変抵抗器 1個で、ファンを複数台並列運転しないでください。
回路が破損するおそれがあります。

◆付属の可変抵抗器で速度を無段階に調整する場合
付属の可変抵抗器をファン本体の端子箱から出ているリード線（青色
2本）に接続してください。
①〜③は、可変抵抗器の端子番号を表します。ツマミを右に回すと、
風量−静圧が大きくなります。

重要
・可変抵抗器接続用リード線は、ファン電源用リード線や他の動力線
と離して配線してください。

使用し、できるだけ短く配線してください。

ノイズに対する保護
■外部ノイズからの保護
この製品は、電源ラインノイズに対するフィルターを内蔵していませ
ん。ファンが高出力制御やスイッチングによるノイズ環境下で使われ
る場合は、ファンの回転速度は不安定になります。市販の LC フィル
ターを使用してください。オプション（別売り）でノイズフィルター
（品名 ZCB2203-11S）を用意しています。

サーマルプロテクタ方式を採用しています。規定の温度になると、内
蔵サーマルプロテクタ（自動復帰型）がはたらきファンは停止します。
点検するときは、必ず電源を切ってください。

Thank you for purchasing an Oriental Motor product.
This Operating Manual describes product handling procedures and safety
precautions.
• Please read it thoroughly to ensure safe operation.
• Always keep the manual where it is readily available.
• To prevent the risk of electric shock, use the fan for class I
equipment only.
Lüfter zur Verwendung in Geräten der Schutzklasse I.
• Install the fan in an enclosure in order to prevent electric shock or
injury.
• Be sure to ground the protective earth terminal when installing the
fan. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.

• Keep the input-power voltage within the specified range to avoid

• Connect the cables securely according to the wiring diagram in
order to prevent fire and electric shock.

result in fire.
• Be sure to insulate the connection terminal of the variable resistor.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
• The fan (circuit) is not provided with an overcurrent protective
function.
For connection with the power supply, install an overcurrent
protection device (such as a circuit breaker). Failure to do so may
result in fire.
• Turn off the power in the event of a power failure, or the fan will
suddenly start when the power is restored and may cause injury or
damage to equipment.
• Do not disassemble or modify the fan. This may cause electric
shock or injury. Refer all such internal inspections and repairs to
the branch or sales office from which you purchased the product.
Caution
• Do not use the fan beyond its specifications, or electric shock,
injury or damage to equipment may result.
• Keep your fingers and objects out of the openings in the fan.
This may cause injury.
• Do not touch the motor during operation or immediately after
stopping. The surface is hot and may cause a burn.
• Do not hold the rotating parts (blades) of the fan or lead wire.
This may cause injury.
• Keep the area around the fan free of combustible materials in order
to prevent fire or a burn.
• To prevent the risk of damage to equipment, leave nothing around
the fan that would obstruct ventilation.
• Install an overload protection device and current leakage breaker.
Failure to do so may result in fire.
• Do not touch the rotating parts (blades) when the fan is in
operation. This may cause injury. The use of the optional
fingerguard is recommended to ensure protection.

Introduction
Before using the fan
Only qualified personnel should work with the product.
Use the product correctly after thoroughly reading the section “Safety
precautions.”
The product described in this manual has been designed and
manufactured for use in general industrial machinery, and must not be
used for any other purpose. Oriental Motor Co., Ltd. is not responsible
for any damage caused through failure to observe this warning.
Standard • CE marking
This product is recognized by UL and certified by CSA, and bears the CE
Marking (Low Voltage Directive) in compliance with the EN Standards.
Standards
Overvoltage category II, Pollution degree 2, Class Iequipment
When connecting to a power supply of overvoltage category III, supply
power via the insulation transformer.
Safety precautions
The precautions described below are intended to prevent danger or
injury to the user and other personnel through safe, correct use of the
product. Use the product only after carefully reading and fully
understanding these instructions.
Handling the product without observing the
instructions that accompany a “Warning” symbol
may result in serious injury or death.

Warning
• Do not use the product in explosive or corrosive environments, in
the presence of flammable gases, locations subjected to splashing

controlling, inspecting and troubleshooting the product.

Preparation
Checking the product
Upon opening the package, verify that the items listed below are
included.
Report any missing or damaged items to the branch or sales office from
which you purchased the product.

Checking the model name
To verify that the unit you’ve purchased is the correct one, check the
model number shown on the nameplate.

Installation
Location for installation
The fan is designed and manufactured for installation in equipment.
Install it in a well-ventilated location that provides easy access for
inspection. The location must also satisfy the following conditions:
• Inside an enclosure that is installed indoors (provide vent holes)
• Operating ambient temperature
- 10 to +60 °C (+14 to +140 °F) (non-freezing)
• Operating ambient humidity 85%, maximum (non-condensing)
• Area that is free of explosive atmosphere or toxic gas (such as sulfuric
gas) or liquid
• Area not exposed to direct sun
• Area free of excessive amount of dust, iron particles or the like
• Area not subject to splashing water (rains, water droplets), oil (oil
droplets) or other liquids
• Area free of excessive salt
• Area not subject to continuous vibration or excessive shocks
• Area free of excessive electromagnetic noise (from welders, power
machinery, etc.)
• Area free of radioactive materials, magnetic fields or vacuum
How to install the fan
Install the fan onto an appropriate flat metal plate having excellent
vibration resistance and heat conductivity.
See the panel cut-out, mounting-hall reference drawing for information
on how to provide mounting holes on the equipment used and secure
the fan with screws (not supplied). The screw size is M5 and the
tightening torque is 1.2 N·m (10.6 lb-in).
For air orientation and rotational direction, see the “ AIRFLOW” and
“ROTATION ” indications shown on the fan’s side frame. The
direction shown by the mark indicates the outlet, while the inlet is in
the opposite direction. The direction shown by the mark indicates
the direction of rotation.
Installing the variable resistor
1. Insert the variable resistor into the mounting panel (insulation
material) as shown in the figure below.
2. Put on the scale plate and inner clip washer and fasten with the nut.
Tightening torque: 0.45 N·m (3.9 lb-in) max.
3. Mount the knob and fix it in place with the stop screw M4.
Tightening torque: 0.4 N·m (3.5 lb-in) max.
Note
Do not run a series of fans off a single variable resistor.
Circuit damage may result.

• Wire the lead for connecting variable resistor away from the lead
for fan power supply and other power lines.
• Use a shielded cable or twisted-pair cable for the lead for
connecting variable resistor, and wire it over the shortest possible
distance.

1. Pass the leads through the terminal hole and wrap around two to
three times.
2. Solder the lead wire to the terminal.
3. Cover the soldered area with a heat shrink tube.

Noise protection
External noise control (prevention of interference)
The product do not have filters against power line noise.
When fans are used in noisy environments caused by high-output
control and switching, the rotating speed of the fun will become
unreliable. Use the commercial LC filters provided.
Optional a noise filter (model: ZCB2203-11S) is available (sold
separately).

The product use triacs for phase control, which can cause noise that
affects other equipment. Use the commercial LC filters provided.

Overheat protection
The fan uses a thermal protector for overheat protection. Once the
temperature reaches a specified level, the internal thermal protector
that has an automatic-return feature is triggered to stop the fan
operation. Be sure to turn off the power when checking the thermal
protector.
