 お使いになる前に
製品の取り扱いは、適切な資格を有する人が行なってください。
お使いになる前に、「安全上のご注意」をよくお読みのうえ、正しく
お使いください。
この製品は、一般的な産業機器の機器組み込み用として設計され
ています。その他の用途には使用しないでください。この警告を無
視した結果生じた損害の補償については、当社は一切その責任を
負いませんので、あらかじめご了承ください。

この製品は、UL 規格、CSA 規格の認定を取得し、EN 規格にもと
づいて CE マーキング（低電圧指令）を実施しています。

• 爆発性雰囲気、引火性ガスの雰囲気、腐食性の雰囲気、水のかか
る場所、可燃物のそばでは使用しないでください。火災・感電・けが
の原因になります。
• 設置、接続、運転・操作、点検・故障診断の作業は、適切な資格を
有する人が行なってください。火災・感電・けがの原因になります。
• 通電状態で移動、設置、接続、点検の作業をしないでください。電
源を切ってから作業してください。感電の原因になります。
• 過熱保護装置（サーマルプロテクタ）がはたらいたときは、電源を切
ってください。過熱保護装置が自動復帰したときにファンが突然起
動して、けが・装置破損の原因になります。
• ファンは、クラスⅠ機器のみに使用してください。感電の原因になり
ます。
• ファンは筐体内に設置してください。感電・けがの原因になります。
• 設置するときは、保護接地線を必ず接地してください。感電の原因
になります。
• 電源入力電圧は、定格範囲を必ず守ってください。火災・感電の原
因になります。
• 接続は接続図にもとづき、確実に行なってください。火災・感電の原
因になります。
• ケーブルを無理に曲げたり、引っ張ったり、挟み込んだりしないでく
ださい。火災・感電の原因になります。
• 停電したときは、電源を切ってください。停電復旧時にファンが突然
起動して、けが・装置破損の原因になります。
• ファンを分解・改造しないでください。感電・けがの原因になります。
内部の点検や修理は、お買い上げになった支店または営業所に連
絡してください。
• ファンの仕様値を超えて使用しないでください。感電・けが・装置破
損の原因になります。
• ファンの開口部に指や物を入れないでください。けがの原因になりま
す。
• 運転中および停止後しばらくの間は、モーター部に触れないでくだ
さい。モーター部の表面が高温のため、やけどの原因になります。
• ファンの回転部（羽根）、リード線を持たないでください。けがの原因
になります。
• ファンの周囲には、可燃物を置かないでください。火災・やけどの原
因になります。
• ファンの周囲には、通風を妨げる障害物を置かないでください。装
置破損の原因になります。
• 運転中は回転部（羽根）に触れないでください。けがの原因になりま
す。保護のため、オプションのフィンガーガードを使用してください。
• 異常が発生したときは、ただちに電源を切ってください。火災・感電・
けがの原因になります。

• ファンは、正常な運転状態でも、モーター部の表面
温度が 70 °C を超えることがあります。運転中の
ファンに接近できるときは、図の警告ラベルをはっ
きり見える位置に貼ってください。やけどの原因に
なります。
• ファンを廃棄するときは、できるだけ分解し、産業廃棄物として処理
してください。
準備
 製品の確認
次のものがすべて揃っているか、確認してください。
不足したり破損している場合は、お買い求めの支店・営業所までご
連絡ください。
セット品の付属品については、添付の「パッケージ内容一覧」をご
覧ください。

重要
1次（コイル）と 2次（アラーム回路）間では、絶縁抵抗測定、絶縁耐
圧試験を行なわないでください。アラーム回路が破損する原因にな
ります。
設置
 設置場所
ファンは機器組み込み用に設計、製造されています。
風通しがよく、点検が容易な次のような場所に設置してください。
• 屋内に設置された筐体内（換気口を設けてください）
• 使用周囲温度 −30～+60 °C（凍結しないこと）
回転低下アラーム付タイプ：−20～+60 °C
• 使用周囲湿度 85%以下（結露しないこと）
• 爆発性雰囲気、有害なガス（硫化ガスなど）、および液体のない
ところ
• 直射日光が当たらないところ
• 塵埃や鉄粉などの少ないところ
• 水（雨や水滴）、油（油滴）、およびその他の液体がかからないと
ころ
• 連続的な振動や過度の衝撃が加わらないところ
• 放射性物質や磁場がなく、真空でないところ
• 電磁ノイズ（溶接機、動力機器など）が少ないところ
スイッチング回路や高周波電源の近くで使用すると、電磁ノイズ
（伝導ノイズ、放射ノイズ）の影響で、誘導電流がファンの内部に
流れる場合があります。誘導電流が流れるとファンの軸受けに電
食が発生し、異常音や寿命低下の原因になります。電磁ノイズ
の影響がない環境で使用してください。
 設置方法
ファンは耐振動性にすぐれ、熱伝導効果が高い平滑な金属板に
設置してください。使用する機器に取付穴をあけて、ファンをねじ
（付属していません）で固定してください。
風の方向、回転方向は、ファンフレーム側面の
AIRFLOW ROTATION の表示をご覧ください。 印の方向
が吐き出し側です。反対側が吸い込み側です。 印の方向が回転
方向です。
ねじサイズは M5、締付トルクは 1.2 N·m です。
接続
4芯ハウジングが電源コネクタ、2芯ハウジングがアラーム出力コネ
クタです。図のようにケーブルを電源およびお客さまの回路に接続
してください。
MRS シリーズはコンデンサを内蔵しています。

重要
アラーム回路には遅延機能がありません。
ファンが起動するときなど検出を回避する場合は、外部に遅延機能
が必要です。遅延時間は 10 秒以上としてください。
拘束時の焼損保護
サーマルプロテクタ方式を採用しています。規定の温度になると、
内蔵サーマルプロテクタ（自動復帰型）がはたらきファンは停止しま
す。点検するときは、必ず電源を切ってください。

Thank you for purchasing an Oriental Motor product.
This Operating Manual describes product handling procedures and
safety precautions.
• Please read it thoroughly to ensure safe operation.
• Always keep the manual where it is readily available.
Introduction
 Before using the fan
Only qualified personnel should work with the product.
Use the product correctly after thoroughly reading the section
“Safety precautions.”
The product described in this manual has been designed and
manufactured for use in general industrial machinery, and must not
be used for any other purpose. Oriental Motor Co., Ltd. is not
responsible for any damage caused through failure to observe this
warning.

This product is recognized by UL and certified by CSA, and bears
the CE Marking (Low Voltage Directive) in compliance with the
EN Standards.

Safety precautions
The precautions described below are intended to prevent danger or
injury to the user and other personnel through safe, correct use of
the product. Use the product only after carefully reading and fully
understanding these instructions.
Handling the product without observing the
instructions that accompany a “Warning”
symbol may result in serious injury or death.

Note
The items under this heading contain
important handling instructions that the user
should observe to ensure safe use of the
product.
• Do not use the product in explosive or corrosive environments, in the
presence of flammable gases, locations subjected to splashing water,
or near combustibles. Doing so may result in fire, electric shock or
injury.
• Assign qualified personnel the task of installing, wiring,
operating/controlling, inspecting and troubleshooting the product.
Failure to do so may result in fire, electric shock or injury.
• Do not transport, install the product, perform connections or
inspections when the power is on. Always turn the power off before
carrying out these operations. Failure to do so may result in electric
shock.
• Turn off the power in the event the overheat protection device
(thermal protector) is triggered. Failure to do so may result in injury
or damage to equipment, since the fan will start abruptly when the
overheat protection device (thermal protector) is automatically reset.
• To prevent the risk of electric shock, use the fan for class I equipment
only.

• Be sure to ground the protective earth conductor when installing the
fan. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.

• Turn off the power in the event of a power failure, or the fan will
suddenly start when the power is restored and may cause injury or
damage to equipment.
• Do not disassemble or modify the fan. This may cause electric shock
or injury. Refer all such internal inspections and repairs to the branch
or sales office from which you purchased the product.
• Do not use the fan beyond its specifications, or electric shock, injury
or damage to equipment may result.
• Keep your fingers and objects out of the openings in the fan. This
may cause injury.
• Do not touch the motor during operation or immediately after
stopping. The surface is hot and may cause a skin burn(s).
• Do not hold the rotating parts (blades) of the fan or lead wire. This
may cause injury.
• Keep the area around the fan free of combustible materials in order to
prevent fire or a skin burn(s).
• To prevent the risk of damage to equipment, leave nothing around the
fan that would obstruct ventilation.

• Do not touch the rotating parts (blades) when the fan is in operation.
This may cause injury. The use of the optional fingerguard is
recommended to ensure protection.

• When an abnormality is noted, stop the operation immediately, or fire,
electric shock or injury may occur.
• The motor’s surface temperature may exceed
70 °C (158 °F), even under normal operating
conditions. If a fan is accessible during
operation, post the warning label shown in the
figure in a conspicuous position to prevent the
risk of skin burn(s).
• To dispose of the fan, disassemble it into parts and components as
much as possible and dispose of individual parts/components as
industrial waste.

or damaged items to the branch or sales office from which you
purchased the product.

Note
Do not conduct insulation resistance measurement or dielectric
voltage-withstand testing between the primary circuit (coil) and
secondary circuit (alarm circuit). Doing so may damage the
alarm circuit.
Installation
 Location for installation
The fan is designed and manufactured for installation in equipment.
Install it in a well-ventilated location that provides easy access for
inspection. The location must also satisfy the following conditions:
• Inside an enclosure that is installed indoors (provide vent holes)
• Operating ambient temperature
−30 to +60 °C (−22 to +140 °F) (non-freezing)
Low-speed alarm type: −20 to +60 °C (−4 to +140 °F)
• Operating ambient humidity 85% or less (non-condensing)
• Area that is free of explosive atmosphere or toxic gas (such as
sulfuric gas) or liquid
• Area not exposed to direct sun
• Area free of excessive amount of dust, iron particles or the like
• Area not subject to splashing water (rain, water droplets), oil (oil
droplets) or other liquids
• Area not subject to continuous vibration or excessive shocks
• Area free of radioactive materials, magnetic fields or vacuum
• Area free of excessive electromagnetic noise (from welders,
power machinery, etc.)
When using near a switching circuit or high-frequency power
supply, the induced current may flow inside the fan due to
electromagnetic noise (conductive noise, radiative noise). If the
induced current flows, the electric corrosion is caused in the
bearings of the fan. As a result, it may generate the noise or
shorten the service life of the products. Use the fan in the
environment that the electromagnetic noise does not cause.
 How to install the fan
Install the fan onto an appropriate flat metal plate having excellent
vibration resistance and heat conductivity.
Drill holes on the mounting plate and fix the fun on the plate using
screws (not supplied).
For air orientation and rotational direction, see the
“AIRFLOW” and “ROTATION ” indications shown on the
fan’s side frame. The direction shown by the mark indicates the
outlet, while the inlet is in the opposite direction. The direction
shown by the mark indicates the direction of rotation.
Screw size: M5, tightening torque: 1.2 N·m (170 oz-in).
Wiring
Four-core housing is for power supply connector, two-core housing
is for alarm output connector. Connect the cable to power supply
and your circuit according to the figure.
MRS series have an internal capacitor.

Note
The alarm circuits do not have a delay function. Avoiding
detection, when starting the fan, for example, requires an
external delay function. Set the delay time to 10 seconds min.
Overheat protection
The fan uses a thermal protector for overheat protection. Once the
temperature reaches a specified level, the internal thermal protector
that has an automatic-return feature is triggered to stop the fan
operation. Be sure to turn off the power when checking the thermal
protector.
