SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, install or operate the product. If you
have any questions regarding the product, please call customer service at 1-800-527-1292, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,
CST, Monday-Friday.
1. Before you begin installing the fan, disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off circuit breakers
.
2. CAUTION: Read all instructions and safety information before installing your new fan. Review the
accompanying assembly diagrams.
3. CAUTION: To avoid personal injury, the use of gloves may be necessary while handling fan parts with sharp edges.
4.Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, or the National Electrical Code.
Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook, if you are unfamiliar with installing
electrical wiring.
5. Make sure the installation site you choose allows a minimum clearance of 7 feet from the blades to the floor and
at least 30 in. from the end of the blades to any obstruction.
6.
If you are mounting the fan to a ceiling outlet box, use a METAL octagonal outlet box. Secure the box directly to
the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at
least 35 lbs.). Do NOT use a plastic outlet box.
7. After you install the fan, make sure that all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling.
8. Instructions for supply connections: conductor of a fan identified as grounded conductor to be connected to a
grounded conductor of power supply; conductor of a fan identified for equipment grounding to be connected to
an equipment-grounding conductor.
9. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, wire connectors provided with
this fan are designed to accept only one 12 gauge house wire and two lead wires from the fan. If your house
wire is larger than 12 gauge or there is more than one house wire to connect to the two fan lead wires, consult
an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.
10. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with a variable speed switch.
11. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, do not bend the blade arms when
installing them, balancing the blades, or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects between the rotating fan
blades. Mount to outlet box marked "ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT" and use mounting screws provided
with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not acceptable for
fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
12.WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only parts provided with this fan. The use of
parts OTHER than those provided with this fan will void the warranty.
13. The net weight of this fan including the light kit is: 23.37 lb. (10.6 kg).

INITIAL INSTALLATION
1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the fan supply line
leads. [Fig. 1]
Warning: Failure to disconnect power supply prior to
installation may result in serious injury or death.
3. Check to make sure blades (F) are at least 30 in. from any
obstruction. Check downrod (A) length to ensure blades (F) are at
least 7 ft. above the floor. [Fig. 3]
4. Secure mounting bracket (C) to outlet box using screws, spring
washers, and flat washers provided with the outlet box. [Fig. 4]
*Note: It is very important that you use the proper hardware when
installing the mounting bracket (C) as this will support the fan.
Important: If using the angle mount, make sure open end of
mounting bracket (C) is installed facing the higher point of the
ceiling.
PREPARATION
1. Before beginning assembly and installation of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
"Package Contents" list and diagrams on the previous page. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts as indicated at the bottom of
page 2.
Estimated Assembly Time: 120 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included):electrical tape, Phillips screwdriver, pliers, safety glasses, stepladder
and wire strippers
Helpful Tools (not included):AC tester light, tape measure, do-it-yourself-guide, and wire cutters
Bulbs Required (included):6 candelabra base 15 watt max. bulbs
2. After opening top of carton, remove mounting hardware package from foam inserts. Remove motor from packing
and place on carpet or on foam to avoid damage to finish.
CAUTION: Carefully check all screws, bolts and nuts on fan motor assembly to ensure that they are secured.
WARNING: When using an existing outlet box, make sure the box is securely attached to the building
structure and can support the full weight of the fan. Failure to do this can result in serious injury or death.
5. Remove motor screws (K) and lock washers (M) from
underside of motor. If necessary, discard plastic. [Fig. 5] Save
motor screws and lock washers for later use.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock,
or personal injury, wire connectors provided with this fan are
designed to accept only one 12 gauge house wire and two lead
wires from the fan. If your house wire is larger than 12 gauge
or there is more than one house wire to connect to the two fan
lead wires, consult an electrician for the proper size wire
connectors to use.
Important: Be sure wiring box is properly grounded or
that a ground wire (green or bare) is present.
1. Choose wiring diagram [Fig. 1A, Fig. 1B or Fig. 1C] that fits
your situation and make appropriate wiring connections as
follows: (Make special note of Step 3 on the following page
while wiring.)
1A. Connect BLACK and BLUE wire from fan to BLACK
wire from ceiling with wire connector (O) provided. Connect
WHITE wire from fan to WHITE wire from ceiling with wire
connector (O) provided. Connect all GROUND (GREEN)
wires together from fan to BARE/GREEN wire from ceiling
with wire connector (O) provided. [Fig. 1A]
1B. If you intend to control the fan light with a separate wall
switch, wire as indicated in the instructions in 1A except
connect BLUE wire from fan to the BLACK supply from the
independent switch. [Fig. 1B]

Warning: If house wires are different colors than
referred to in following steps, stop immediately. A professional
electrician is recommended to determine wiring.
2. Remove pin (R) and clip (S) from motor housing yoke. Slip
downrod (A) into motor housing yoke, align holes and re-install pin
(R) and clip (S). Tighten downrod (A) set screws and then tighten
nuts. Slide yoke cover (E) down until it rests on top of motor
housing (D). [Fig. 2]
3. Install ball end of downrod (A) into mounting bracket (C)
opening. Align slot in ball with tab in mounting bracket (C). [Fig. 3]
Warning: Failure to align slot in ball with tab may result in
serious injury or death.
1. Insert downrod (A) through canopy (B), canopy cover (X) and yoke
cover (E). (Note: Canopy cover (X) must be turned with the shiny
side toward the motor housing (D). [Fig. 1] Thread wires from motor
housing (D) through downrod (A).
*Helpful Hint: Downrod style mounting is best suited for ceilings 8 ft.
(2.44 m) high or higher. For taller ceilings you may want to use a
longer downrod (not included) than the one provided. Angle style
mounting is best suited for angled or vaulted ceilings. A longer
downrod is sometimes necessary to ensure proper blade clearance.

2. Connect green wire from downrod (A) to green wire on
mounting bracket (C). [Fig. 2]
3. Strip 3/4 of an inch of insulation from ends of white wire.
Twist stripped ends of each strand of wire within the insulation
with pliers. [Fig. 3] Snip ends after twisting strands together.
Repeat for black, blue (if applicable) and green wires.
4. Screw wire connectors (O) on in a clockwise direction. Wrap
electrical tape around each wire connector (O) down to the wire as
shown in Fig. 4.
Warning: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are
visible after making connections. Place green and white
connections on opposite side of box from the black and blue (if
applicable) connections.
Turn spliced/taped wires upward and gently push wires and wire
connectors (O) into outlet box.
Note: Black wire is hot power for fan. Blue wire is hot power for
light kit. White wire is common for fan and light kit. Green or bare
wire is ground.
1C. If you intend to control the fan and light with separate wall
switches, wire as indicated in the instructions in 1A except
connect BLUE wire from fan to the BLACK supply from the
independent wall switch for the light and connect BLACK wire
from fan to the BLACK supply from the other independent wall
switch for the fan. [Fig. 1C]

1. If necessary, partially loosen the two canopy mounting screws (Q),
on bottom of mounting bracket (C) that align with holes in canopy
(B). Lift canopy (B) to mounting bracket (C). Place rounded part of
the holes in canopy (B) over loosened canopy mounting screws (Q)
and push canopy (B) up. Twist canopy (B) to lock. Tighten both
canopy mounting screws (Q) securely. Slide canopy cover (X) up to
canopy (B), aligning rounded parts of slotted holes in canopy cover
(X) with screwheads in bottom of canopy (B). Turn canopy cover (X)
clockwise until it stops. [Fig. 1]

2. Install the 15 watt bulbs (I) provided with this fan into sockets in
motor housing (D). [Fig. 2]
Remove one screw from outer ring on underside of motor housing
(D) and partially loosen the other 2 screws. Slide glass housing (U)
over motor housing (D) until glass housing (U) touches top of motor
housing (D). Align slotted holes in motor housing plate (V) with
loosened screws on bottom of motor housing (D), and then twist
motor housing plate (V) to lock. Re-insert screw that was previously
removed. Secure motor housing plate (V) by tightening all three
screws. [Fig. 2] Be sure to tighten screws completely but be careful
not to overtighten screws as glass may crack or break.

4. Insert only one motor screw (K) through blade arm (G) to attach
blade arm (G) to motor using one of the lock washers (M) and
one of the motor screws (K) that were previously removed (Step
5, page 5). Partially tighten motor screw (K). [Fig. 4] Repeat with
remaining blade arms (G).
6. Raise switch housing plate (H) to motor, allowing the male plug
from the motor to come through the square hole in the switch
housing plate (H). Align slotted holes in switch housing plate (H)
with loosened screws in fitter plate and twist switch housing plate
(H) to lock. Re-insert screw that was just removed, and then
tighten all three screws. [Fig. 6]

7. Remove finial (W) from threaded rod on switch housing plate (H).
Save for later use. Raise switch housing (J) up toward switch
housing plate (H). Connect male plug from motor housing (D) to
female plug from switch housing (J) and carefully arrange wiring
inside of switch housing (J) [Fig. 7] Make sure that the plugs are
connected completely.
8. Align threaded rod on switch housing plate (H) with hole on the
bottom of the switch housing (J) and push up. Attach finial (W), that
was removed during previous step. Make sure finial is securely
tightened. [Fig. 8]

3. Position blade arm (G) under blade (F) and attach blade arm (G)
to blade (F) with blade screws (L) and blade washers (N). Do not
tighten blade screws (L) until each blade screw (L) has been
started. Then, tighten each blade screw (L) starting with the one in
the middle. [Fig. 3] Repeat for the remaining blades (F).

FAN OPERATION
1. The fan pull chain, labeled SPEED, has four positions. One pull is
HIGH, two pulls is MEDIUM, three is LOW and four turns the fan
OFF. [Fig. 1]

3. Use the fan reverse switch, located on the switch housing (J), to
optimize your fan for seasonal performance. [Fig. 3]
Note: Wait for fan to stop before moving the reverse switch.
3A. In warmer weather, counterclockwise movement of the fan
will result in downward airflow creating a wind chill effect.

3B. In cooler weather, clockwise movement of the fan will
result in upward airflow that can help move stagnant, hot air
off the ceiling area. [Fig. 3B]

2. Pull the light pull chain, labeled LIGHT, to turn the light ON or
OFF. [Fig. 2]
MOTOR HOUSING BULB REPLACEMENT
Important: Allow motor housing (D) and bulb(s) to cool down
before touching them.
When it becomes time to replace the bulbs (I) in the lighted motor
housing (D), locate access covers on the top of the motor housing
(D). Determine which access cover contains the burnt-out bulb (I).
Remove the access cover by removing the two screws at the edges
of the access cover--this will allow access to the burnt-out bulb (I).
Replace burnt-out bulb (I) with one candelabra base 15 watt max.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Note: A small amount of "wobble" is normal and should not be considered a defect.
Warning: Before beginning work, shut off the power supply to avoid electrical shock.
At least twice each year, lower canopy (B) to check downrod (A) assembly, and then tighten all screws on the fan.
Clean motor housing (D) with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Clean blades (F) with
a lint-free cloth. You may occasionally apply a light coat of furniture polish to wood blades for added protection.
Important: Shut off main power supply before beginning any maintenance. Do not use water or a damp cloth to
clean the ceiling fan.

defect in material or workmanship. Contact Litex Customer Service at 1-800-527-1292 to arrange for return of fan.
Return fan, shipping prepaid, to Litex Industries, Ltd. We will repair or ship you a replacement fan, and we will pay the
return shipping cost.
5-YEAR WARRANTY: LITEX INDUSTRIES, LTD. will repair or replace, at no charge to the original purchaser, any
fan motor that fails to operate satisfactorily when failure results from normal use.
RETURN FAN MOTOR ONLY, shipping prepaid, to Litex Industries. We will repair or ship purchaser a replacement
motor and Litex will pay the return shipping cost.
6-YEAR to LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY: LITEX INDUSTRIES, LTD. will repair the fan, at no charge to the
original purchaser for labor only, if the fan motor fails to operate satisfactorily when failure results from normal use.
Parts used in the repair will be billed to the purchaser at prevailing prices at time of repair.
The purchaser shall be responsible for all costs incurred in the removal, reinstallation and shipping of the product for
repairs.
This warranty does not apply when damage from mechanical, physical, electrical or water abuse results in causing the
malfunction. Deterioration of finishes or other parts due to time or exposure to salt air is specifically exempted under
this warranty.
Neither Litex Industries nor the manufacturer will assume any liability resulting from improper installation or use of this
product. In no case shall the company be liable for any consequential damages for breach of this, or any other
warranty expressed or implied whatsoever. This limitation as to consequential damages shall not apply in states where
prohibited.

INFORMACION DE SEGURIDAD

2. Quite la clavija (R) y el sujetador (S) del yugo del motor.
Coloque el vástago (A) dentro del yugo del motor, alinee los
agujeros y vuelva a instalar la clavija (R) y el sujetador (S). Ajuste
los tornillos de fijación del vástago (A) y luego apriete las tuercas.
Resbale la cubierta del yugo (E) hasta que se apoye en el
bastidor del motor (D). [Fig. 2]
1. Introduzca el vástago (A) en la cubierta (B), decoración para la
cubierta (X) y la cubierta del yugo (E). Nota: Se tiene que voltear la
decoración para la cubierta (X) para que el lado brillante dé al
bastidor del motor (D). [Fig. 1] Pase los cables del bastidor del
motor (D) por el vástago (A).
*Consejo útil: El montaje con vástago es más adecuado para
techos de 2,44 m o más altos. Para techos de mayor altura, quizás
usted prefiera usar un vástago más largo de los provistos. El
montaje en ángulo es más adecuado para techos en ángulo o
abovedados. A veces se necesitarán vástagos más largos para
asegurar el espacio adecuado para las paletas del ventilador.
3. Instale el extremo de la bola del vástago (A) en la abertura del
soporte de montaje (C). Alinee la ranura de la bola con la lengüeta
del soporte de montaje (C). [Fig. 3]
Advertencia: El no alinear la lengüeta con la ranura de la
bola puede ser causa de graves daños o de muerte.

1A. Conecte el cable NEGRO y el AZUL del ventilador al

VERDES) del ventilador al cable PELADO/VERDE del techo

más de un cable de la casa para conectar a los cables principales
del ventilador, consulte con un electricista para informarse sobre el
tamaño correcto de conectores para cable que se debe usar.

4. Atornille los conectores para cable (O) en el sentido de las
agujas del reloj. Ponga cinta aislante en cada conector para
cable (O) hasta llegar al cable como se muestra en la Fig. 4.

1. Si es necesario, parcialmente afloje los dos tornillos para montaje de
la cubierta (Q) en la parte inferior del soporte de montaje (C) que se
alinean con los agujeros en la cubierta (B). Eleve la cubierta (B) hasta
el soporte de montaje (C). Ponga la parte redondeada de los agujeros
encima de los tornillos para montaje de la cubierta (Q) y empuje la

2. Instale las bombillas de 15 vatios (I) provistas con el ventilador en los
casquillos en el bastidor del motor (D). [Fig. 2]
Quite un tornillo del aro exterior en la parte inferior del bastidor del
motor (D) y afloje los otros dos tornillos parcialmente. Deslice el bastidor
de vidrio (U) arriba del bastidor del motor (D) hasta que el bastidor de
vidrio (U) toque la parte superior del bastidor del motor (D). Alinee los
agujeros con ranura en la placa del bastidor del motor (V) con los
tornillos aflojados en el fondo del bastidor del motor (D) y luego gire la
placa del bastidor del motor (V) para cerrarla. Vuelva a introducir el
tornillo que se quitó anteriormente. Asegure la placa del bastidor del
motor (V) apretando los tres tornillos. [Fig. 2] Asegúrese de apretar los

7. Quite el adorno con rosca (W) de la varilla roscada de la placa
de la caja del interruptor (H). Guarde para uso más adelante.
Levante la caja del interruptor (J) a la placa de la caja del
interruptor (H). Conecte el enchufe macho del bastidor del motor
(D) al enchufe hembra de la caja del interruptor (J) y con cuidado
arreglé los cables dentro de la caja del interruptor (J). [Fig. 7]
Asegúrese de que los enchufes se conecten bien.

4. Introduzca sólo un tornillo del motor (K) en el brazo para la paleta
(G) para sujetar el brazo para la paleta (G) al motor usando una de las
arandelas de seguridad (M) y uno de los tornillos del motor (K) que se
quitaron anteriormente (paso 5, página 16) y apriete el tornillo del motor
(K) parcialmente. [Fig. 4] Haga esto con el resto de los brazos para las
paletas (G).
5. Introduzca los demás tornillos del motor (K), junto con las
arandelas de seguridad (M). [Fig. 5] Apriete bien todos los tornillos
del motor (K).
6. Quite un tornillo de la placa de conexión en el lado inferior del
motor y parcialmente afloje los otros dos tornillos. Levante la placa de
la caja del interruptor (H) al motor, dejando que el enchufe macho del
motor pase por el agujero cuadrado en la placa de la caja del
interruptor (H). Alinee los agujeros con ranura en la placa de la caja
del interruptor (H) con los tornillos aflojados en la placa de conexión y
gire la placa de la caja del interruptor (H) para cerrarla. Vuelva a
introducir el tornillo que se acaba de quitar, y luego apriete bien los
tres tornillos. [Fig. 6]

Importante: Permita que se enfríen el bastidor del motor (D)
Iluminado y la(s) bombilla(s) antes de tocarlos.
Cuando hay que reemplazar las bombillas (I) en el bastidor del
motor (D), localice las placas de acceso en la parte superior del
bastidor del motor (D). Determine cuál placa de acceso contiene la
bombilla (I) fundida. Quite la placa de acceso quitando los dos
tornillos en los bordes de la placa de acceso--esto le dará acceso a
la bombilla fundida (I). Reemplace la bombilla (I) fundida con una
bombilla de base candelabro de 15 vatios máx. Repita este proceso
para cada bombilla (I) fundida.
2. Jale la cadena de encendido de la luz, etiquetada LUZ, para
ENCENDER o APAGAR la luz. [Fig. 2]
1. La cadena de encendido del ventilador, etiquetada
VELOCIDAD, tiene cuatro posiciones para controlar la velocidad
del ventilador. Jálela una vez para la velocidad ALTA, dos veces
para la velocidad MEDIA, tres veces para la velocidad BAJA y
cuatro veces para APAGAR el ventilador. [Fig. 1]
3. Use el interruptor de reversa, localizado en la caja del interruptor
(J), para optimizar el uso del ventilador durante las estaciones.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Advertencia: Antes de empezar cualquier trabajo, corte el suministro de electricidad para evitar un choque eléctrico.
LOCALIZACION DE FALLAS
Baje Ia cubierta (B) para inspeccionar el conjunto del vástago (A) por lo menos dos veces al año, y luego apriete
todos los tornillos del ventilador. Limpie el bastidor del ventilador (D) solamente con un cepillo suave o un paño
que no tenga pelusa para no rayar el acabado. Limpie las paletas (F) con un paño que no tenga pelusa. De vez
en cuando usted puede lustrar las paletas de madera con un poco de cera para muebles como una protección
adicional.
Importante: Apague la fuente principal del suministro de electricidad antes de iniciar cualquier tipo de
mantenimiento. No use agua ni un paño húmedo para limpiar el ventilador.
Nota: Un pequeño “tambaleo” es normal y no se debe considerar como defecto.
