The pump is equipped with a ground-1.

pump is designed to be connected to
120 V~, 60 Hz receptacle.
Make sure that the receptacle is suf-2.

condition.
When the plug is inserted into the3.
receptacle the pump will be on.
WARNING! If the power cord or plug is
damaged, do not use the pump. The
power cord or plug may only be re-
paired by a certied electrician.
Area of use
This pump is designed for use as a
fountain pump in an area not used for
swimming.

After reading these instructions,1.
consider the following points before
starting the pump:
Verify that the pump rests on thea.
oor of the fountain.
Verify that the electrical connectionb.
is 120 V~, 60 Hz.
Verify that the electrical receptacle isc.
in good condition.
Verify that water and moisture can-d.

Verify that the pump is installed soe.

To prevent tripping, run any extension2.
cord used away from walkways that
lead to your location.
Place the Fountain Pump on a sur-4.
face slightly elevated (to prevent col-
lection of excessive mud), and open
either or both switches located on the
Tee Fitting System (10) by rotating
them towards the + symbol.
Plug the Fountain Pump into the5.
power outlet. The Fountain Pump will
begin operating automatically.
When not using the Fountain Pump6.
for a long period of time, unplug the
power cord, remove it from the water,
rinse with cold, clean, water and let it
dry before storing it inside away from
children.
MAINTENANCE AND
SERVICING

explained in this manual
must be performed only by a
qualied technician.
TO PREVENT

Unplug the Fountain Pump
from its electrical outlet
before performing any
accessory change, inspection,
maintenance, and/or cleaning
procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS

FAILURE:
Do not use damaged
equipment. If abnormal noise
or vibration occurs, have the
problem corrected before
further use.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and
Lubrication
BEFORE EACH USE,1. inspect the
general condition of the Fountain
Pump. Check for loose screws, mis-
alignment or binding of moving parts,
cracked or broken parts, damaged
electrical wiring, and any other condi-
tion that may affect its safe operation.
AFTER USE,2. clean external surfaces
of the appliance with clean, moist
cloth.

WARNING! If the supply cord of this appli-
ance is damaged, it must be replaced
only by a qualied service technician.
Cleaning the Filter Sponge
Wash the Filter Sponge out regu-1.
larly, especially if the Fountain Pump
power starts to drop.
Unplug the Fountain Pump from the2.
power source and wear heavy-duty
insulated rubber gloves before putting
your hands into the water.
Press the sides of the Filter Cover3.
(14) together and pull it off the Main
Housing (4). Pull the Filter Sponge
out of the Plastic Filter (13) and rinse
with cold, clean water. Replace into
the Plastic Filter (13) and reassemble
the Filter Cover (14).
When not using the Fountain Pump,4.
(as in the Winter months), protect and
preserve the Filter Sponge by keep-
ing it in a glass jar in water stored
near the Fountain Pump for easy
location.
Cleaning the Impeller
Unscrew the Back Cover (3), (twist it1.
1/4 turn to left and pull). Remove the
Impeller (11). See Figure 3.
NOTE: There is a small Metal Washer
attached to the rear of the Impel-
ler Shaft. Be careful not to lose
it when removing, cleaning, and
replacing the Impeller.
Flush with lots of lukewarm, clean2.
water to remove built up debris. Use
of a small medium stiff toothbrush is
helpful.

ber 1 of this section using reverse
procedure. Check for Metal Washer
before replacing the Back Cover (3).

defects in materials and workmanship (90 days if used by a professional contractor or
