Flexibility
•
The ELF-50’s standard one-button
teachproductandlabelsensorscan
be effortlessly adjusted for various
labeling applications. And, with
the manual position setting, your
labelsareplacedaccuratelyon
the product, each and every time.
•
It’s easy to upgrade the ELF-50 to
activate hot-foil printercontrols.
This integrated feature simplifies
labelcustomization andallows
the hot-foil printer to work in
syncwiththe labelertoensure
accurate code placement.
•
Thanks to the user-friendly
operating interface, changing to
different labeling applications for
various product sizes and types
can be done simply and quickly.
Productivity
•
A production preset function
means the machine automatically
stopsoncethepredetermined
quantityofproducts hasbeen
labeled.
•
The label count feature lets you
precisely track progress at any
point duringtheproduction run.
•
The container/production run
counter lets you see the exact
production numberfortheday.
•
TheELF-50featuresa battery-free
microprocessor control system
that maintains default settings and
memory even after the machine
sitsidleforalongperiodoftime.

to waste time re-entering the
necessary information.
Accuracy
•
The ELF-50’s stepper motor
essentially counts the “steps”
necessary to reach the next label,
ensuring fast, accurate label delivery.
•
The ELF-50’s controls are fully
synchronized, ensuring that all
components run at the same speed.
Practicality
•
The ELF-50 can be easily and
conveniently moved to other
production areas, allowing for
changesin productionorproducts.
•
The ELF-50 is easy to work on
and to adjust, putting everything
you need at your fingertips with
the removal of just a fewscrews.
•

LABELAPPLICATOR
Follow these instructions to insert the labels into the label applicator.
WITH PRINTER WITHOUT PRINTER
Place the label roll on the supplyplate and pass the
labels around the tension roller to control over rotation
of the roll.
Secure the labels byadding tension to the label press
pad. This willpreventthelabels from running loosely.
Ifa printerisinstalled, pass the labels between the print
head and the print pad of the printer.
It is important for the labels to pass through the forks of
thelabelsensorandmakecontactwithoneside. The
label sensor controls thedispensing of the labels.

On the control panel, hold down “LENGTH SET” (Figure 1)
until the backing substrate only is positioned in the sensor
(Figure 2).
On the label sensor, hold down the “NORMAL” button until
thegreen LED flashes and then turnssolid (Figure 3).
Again,holddown“LENGTHSET”onthecontrolpaneluntil
the next label ispositionedinthe sensor. If the sensor issetup
correctly,thegreenandredLEDwillbeonwhen a label is
positionedin the sensor. Also, checkthe control paneland confirm
that the counter for “LENGTH SET” is increasing and holding the
countafteryoureleasethe“LENGTHSET”button(Figure4).

Lastly, position the next label to dispense no more than
3mm
past the end of the peel plate.

OBJECT SENSOR
The object sensor is a fiber optic infra-red sensor use to detect the presence of bottle on the labeling zone. If
the sensor is not able to detect a bottle, adjust the intensity of the amplifier until the sensor is able to trigger
the applicator to apply a label.
If sensor moves too far right, the label will come out too
late and will not be applied to the bottle.
If sensor moves too far left, the label will come out too
early and possibly cause vertical wrinkles.
Theproperpositionofthe sensoristomakesurethe
label is dispensed and applies to the apex of the bottles'
surface.

PARTS ADJUSTMENTS
Conveyor adjustment:
To adjust the tightness of the conveyor belt, turn the two screws. Turn
counter clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. Make sure the conveyor is centered. If not, it
can cause
the belt to wear prematurely.
Dispensing adjustment screw:
If the label is skewing up or down all the time, loosen the four
screws and adjust the dispensing plate upward if the label is skewing upward orvice versa and then
tighten
them up.
Guide rail adjustment screws:
To adjust the width of the conveyor guides, loosen the knobs and
adjust
the position. Tighten after the desired width has been adjusted.
Wrap around belt adjustment:
To adjust the tightness of wrap around belt, loosen the four screws
and
extend the pillar until the desired tightness is achieved and then tighten them up.
Conveyor height adjustment: Adjust the four footing screw to adjust conveyor to the appropriate height.
