Directions for: Security Cable Lock
The PackRight Security Cable Lock comes with the pre-
set combination (0-0-0). You must reset this combina-
tion to your own personal combination code. Make
sure you choose a code that you can easily remem-
ber because without knowing the current combina-
tion code there is no way to reset the lock to the
original combination code once it has been changed.
To ensure a trouble-free experience, we suggest that be-
fore you attempt to reset the lock combination, you rst
read through the instructions completely while referring to
the labeled picture.
To reset the combination:
1-Align the pre-set combination (0-0-0) across the top of
the lock.
2-Press the cable trigger located mid-way down the right
side to make sure the cable is fully retracted.
3-Push in and hold the small reset button on the top left
side by the cable head.
4-As you continue to hold the reset button, set the dials to
your desired combination.
5-Release the small reset button and your new combina-
tion will be set.
To lock:
1-Align your combination across the top of the lock.
2-Press the cable trigger located mid-way down the right
side and pull out your desired length of cable.
3-Push in and hold the lock button on the top right side by
the cable hole.
4-Insert the cable head into the cable hole and release the
lock button.
5-Scramble the combination.
6-Press the cable trigger to remove any slack in the cable.
To unlock:
1-Align your combination across the top of the lock.
2-Press the lock button and pull out the cable from the
cable hole.
3-Press the cable trigger to retract the cable into the lock’s
body.
Use the Security Cable Lock to go through the zipper pulls
of a car top carrier bag and loop around the rooftop lug-
gage rack.
Note: If you inadvertently change the combination of
the lock without knowing it, there is no way to reset the
combination to its original code. Do not push the small
reset button unless you are following the above pro-
cedure to intentionally change the lock’s combination.

consumer’s or user’s proper installation of the product and good judgment in its use. Rightline Gear is not responsible for
the consumer’s or user’s use or misuse of this product. Damage to Purchaser’s vehicle or any other vehicle caused by Pur-
chaser’s improper use of this product may cause serious injury or death. The Purchaser acknowledges that Rightline Gear
has no control over the attachment of its products to vehicles or the attachment of items to the Rightline Gear products.
Accordingly, Rightline Gear cannot assume responsibility for any damage to any property arising out of the improper
attachment or use of its products.
