V-Mount Power Supply
Model 9791V
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This leaflet contains important safety and
operating instructions. Read these fully and
note all warnings before using the Power
Supply. Please follow all instructions and
retain this leaflet for future reference.
The Power Supply is not intended for any use
other than the powering of video cameras as
detailed in ‘Specification’.
IMPORTANT: This equipment must be grounded.
Do not connect to non-grounded supplies.
Use only on AC supplies 100-250V, 50/60Hz.
Supply connection to the unit should be
made using only the standard lead supplied
with this equipment. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.
The grounding-type plug has two blades and
a third grounding prong. The third prong is
provided for your safety. When the provided
plug does not fit into your outlet, consult
an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked on
or pinched, particularly at plugs. Unplug this
apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
Ensure that the cooling fins are not ob-
structed when in use - e.g. do not cover
them with tape or labels.
WARNING: Indoor use only. To reduce the risk
of fire or electric shock, do not expose this
apparatus to rain or moisture.
Do not disassemble the Power Supply. There
are no user-serviceable parts inside. Incorrect
re-assembly may result in a safety hazard.
Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way, such
as supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has
been spilled, the apparatus has been exposed
to rain or moisture, does not operate nor-
mally, or has been dropped. In this event you
should seek advice from your nearest PAG
Dealer or direct from PAG Ltd. by telephoning
+44 (0)20 8543 3131.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Power Supply Model 9791V is designed to
mount directly onto the back of equipment
that is fitted with a V-Mount battery connec-
tor. The Power Supply is also available in
models that are compatible with the PAGlok
and Anton-Bauer battery connector systems.
Fit the Power Supply to the equipment and
connect the supply cord to the input socket.
Power up the unit and the green mains LED
will be lit.
The Power Supply has a nominal output
of 50W at 13V, which is sufficient to power
most popular models of camera. Ensure
that the combined wattage of the camera/
recorder and a lamp (if used) does not
exceed 50W.
The Power Supply will automatically detect
the presence of an excessive load, and limit
the output to a safe current level.
Do not obstruct the cooling fins that are
present on the rear of the unit. If the Power
Supply becomes overheated it will shut down
and no damage will occur. The protection
circuit will latch off, and can only be reset by
turning off the input supply. Allow the unit
to cool before continuing to operate.
The output is protected against over-voltage.
If the Power Supply produces an excessively
high voltage it will shut down and the circuit
will latch off as described above.
SERVICING AND REPAIRS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock,
do not attempt any servicing or repairs unless
you are qualified to do so. Refer all servicing
or repairs to qualified servicing personnel.
The Power Supply contains advanced electron-
ics that do not require periodic maintenance.
Consequently there are no user serviceable
parts inside.
Qualified electronics engineers who wish to
gain access to internal assemblies should
note that parts of the power circuit retain a
high voltage even after the supply has been
disconnected. Wait for a period of five
minutes following disconnection before
commencing disassembly.
When the Power Supply is correctly connected
to an AC supply and the green mains LED is
not lit, it is likely that a fault has developed.
Seek advice from your nearest PAG Dealer or
direct from PAG Ltd., London, by telephoning
+44 (0)20 8543-3131.
