NOTE: Ifreplacing an existing lock orinstalling in a pre-drilled door, begin withpage 7.
Fold the template againstthe door edgeas shown inbelow illustration,mark and drilla pilot
hole for latch on dooredge, select backset(60mm or 70mm)to mark anddrill a pilothole for
selected backset on door face.(It is recommended to markcenterline of the hole ondoor about
36 inches (914mm)above the floor. )

A. Insert thelatch intothe latch hole.Using the faceplate as apattern, TRACEa line alongthe out
edge of thefaceplate andchisel a 4mm(1/8") slot inthe markedout area. Face plate shouldfit
flush with dooredge.
B. Insert thelatch into the latch holeand fastenwith screws.

directional arrows asyou do not justcarve out the screw holes

A. Placing thestrike plateon the doorframe, TRACE a line alongthe out edgeof the strike plate
and chisel a3mm (1/8") slot inthe marked out area.
B. Chisel outa hole measuring32 x 24x 13mm (1-1/4''X1''X1/2'') in associationwith the sizeof the
dust box.
C. Fastenthe strikeand dust box with screws.

Use a screwdriver topress the button in thehole below ''SWITCH'' mark ofthe exterior assembly
to freeoutside lever and turn itupward andthen down tothe correct horizontal directionwith
the door. Lever willbe fixedin position aftera sound of''click''. Follow thepage 11 todetermine
the direction ofthe lever.

7-1. MOUNTING EXTERIORASSEMBLY
A. Slide the spindleand screw poststhrough the latchand thread the cable under the latch.
B. Thread thecable through the rectangular hole inthe mounting plate and combine the posts of
the mounting plateand the exteriorassembly.
C. Fastenthe mounting platewith 2 screws(32mm or 1 1/4'') while ensuring theexterior assembly
is held in the''true vertical'' position ondoor face.
NOTE: Exterior assemblywill not sit completely flush with doorface until screws are tightened
completely as thereare 2'' anchoring spikes'' which preventthe exterior assembly from
shifting/wobbling during usage.

A. Removebattery pack cover by pushing it upto the top position.
B. Removethe lever byinserting the catchtool into the access holeand depressing torelease
catch while gently pulling onlever. Once catch has beenreleased, removethe catch tool from
the access holeto allow thelever to pull off completely.
C. Follow thesteps on page 16 toremove thedecorative cover.
