LED Product Classification
The light source of the LED head connected to this product is classified as 3B
under the JIS C6802 “LED Product Safety Standard.”
Max output: 150 mW Wavelength: 365 ±5 nm
Class 3B LED Product JIS C6802: 2005
Controlling or calibrating this product by other than the procedures stipulated here
could cause exposure to dangerous LED radiation.
・ Do not look directly at LED-UV light, or at LED-UV light reflected in a mirror or
other reflective surface. Doing so could cause eye damage.
・ Install the main unit so that humans are not exposed to LED-UV light.
Exposure could injure the skin or cause other injury.
・ Always turn the key switch off before cleaning the LED head.
Cleaning the head while the switch is on could cause eye damage or injury to
the skin.
・ Never disassemble this product. Disassembling this product could cause
exposure to LED-UV light, causing eye damage or injury to the skin.
・ If there is a risk of the LED-UV light being exposed to UV reflective light, place
the product inside a cover with proper reflectance and heat characteristics to
block that reflective light.
・ When operating the controller, set up the system so that the path of the LED-UV
light is not at eye level.
・ It is strongly recommended that a protective barrier be placed around the
product so that people cannot approach it while it is operating.
・ Always wear protective goggles when using this product.
・ Never operate this product in a manner not described in this manual. Doing so
risks exposure to LED-UV light.
Safety Precautions for Users
JIS C6802 stipulates user guidelines pertaining to safety precautions to be taken by
users and management standards. In the case of this product, please implement
safety precautions for a class 3B LED product. See JIS C6802, “Radiation Safety
Standards for LED Products” for details.

Equipment
This product provides the following equipment, in accordance with JIS C6802, “Radiation Safety
Standards for LED Products.”
■Remote Interlock Connector
UV radiation can be halted by freeing the emergency stop input terminals (23-24) at the rear of
the controller. When the product ships, these are shorted with the short bar.
■Control Access via Key
The main unit of this product is started via a key switch. When not in use, the key should be
removed at all times.
■LED Radiation Warnings
Turning the key switch to the “on” position enables LED-UV light radiation, and the touch-panel
display on the front of the controller warns of LED radiation.
■Error Reset
If an error occurs, eliminate the cause, then touch “Reset” to clear the error.

The LED head ships from the factory with the following LED radiation warning labels stipulated by
JIS C6802 affixed. Also, Chinese warning labels for the GB standard and English warning labels
for the IEC/EN standard are included.

The purpose of these cautions is to enable you to use this product safely and correctly, to prevent
injury or loss to yourself and others. In order to explicitly indicate the severity and likelihood of
damage and/or injury, likely errors are denoted with the terms “Danger” or “Warning.”
Both of these are vital for ensuring safety. Please obey both at all times.

Prohibited
●Never look directly at the LED lamp or its reflection while it is on, or allow its
light to touch your skin.
Doing so could cause eye or skin inflammation.
This product uses a class 3B LED light source.
Mandatory
●Always wear protective goggles and other protective gear when operating.
Failure to do so could result in eye or skin inflammation.
The UV light generated by this product includes UV radiation in the 365-nm
wavelength. For this reason, always use UV-blocking protective goggles.
Do not
disassemble
●Never perform disassembly, repairs, or modifications not described in this
manual. Doing so could lead to accidents or injuries.
Earth Connection
●Always connect to an earth. Failure to ground could cause electrocution in
the case of an electric leak.
●Always unplug the unit from the power outlet after use. Failure to do so could
cause deterioration of the insulation, leading to electric shock or electric
leakage and fire.
●When unplugging the power cord, always pull by the plug. Pulling by the cord
could cause fire, due to electric shock or short.
Mandatory
●Do not use with other than the rated input power. Failure to do so could
cause fires.
●Do not use the system if the power cord or plug is damaged, or the outlet
connection is loose. Doing so could cause electric shock or a short-induced
fire.
●Do not use in locations with extreme temperature changes or where
condensation occurs. Doing so could damage the product.
●Do not use in locations subject to severe jolts or vibration. Doing so could
damage the product.
Prohibited
●Do not use while holding the controller (it is not a handheld model). Doing so
could cause electric shock.

Cautions for Use

1) Do not connect the system to a power supply outside the rated voltage/frequency range listed on
the system or in this manual. Doing so could cause it to become damaged.
2) Please use the system within the ambient conditions listed below. Using under other than the
indicated conditions could shorten the system lifetime.

3) Do not place items on top of the main unit, or block the air vents around the system. Excessive heat
could damage the unit due to overheating.
4) When handling the LED head, do not touch the lens or LED with your bare hands.
If foreign matter adheres to the lens or LED, the UV intensity could drop, decreasing the curing
capacity. If touched with a bare hand or becomes soiled, wipe clean with alcohol.
5) Do not drop the LED head, or subject it to strong jolts. Doing so could damage the product.
6) Do not bend the connecting cable to the LED head multiple times. Doing so could cause a break in
the cable.
If the cable to the LED head is broken, the entire unit must be replaced.
7) Make sure the system's rubber legs are set horizontally parallel before use.
Using the system while it is titled, tipped on one side, or upside down could cause the system to
overheat and break. Doing so is also dangerous.
8) Noise superimposed over the power supply could cause the LED head or control power to
malfunction. In such a case, install an insulating transformer or noise filter.
9) Do not use the same power supply as motors, conductive machinery, or apparatuses that consume
large amounts of power.
10) Always use the supplied cables to connect the LED head and main unit.
11) The system is equipped with a power thermistor to suppress inrush current. Wait at least 5 times
between turning the power on or off.
Warranty
* Any failures that occur within 1 year of delivery, under conditions of normal use, will be repaired free
of charge.
Note, however, that failures due to your fault, consumables and inevitable failures shall be
excluded.
* The warranty for the LED head is valid for 1 year from delivery or 5,000 hours of cumulative
irradiation, whichever comes first.

・ We cannot compensate losses due to halted production or defects caused by system issues.

1 Features of the ANUJ5014/5012 Aicure
The ANUJ5010 Aicure is an UV curing system that quickly hardens UV resins (inks, adhesives, and
coatings) via irradiation with UV light from an LED light source. Focused irradiation of UV resins
coated on minute surfaces (2 to 3 mm dia.) such as the lenses of CD, MD, and DVD players, and the
LCD panels of notebook PCs and the like, with UV radiation enables precise adhesion.

■Irradiation power: 2000 mW/cm

high output (with high-output head installed)
This shortens the irradiation time and increases the UV intensity.
■10,000-hour light-source lifetime (70% of initial UV intensity)
This is roughly triple the lifetime of an equivalent lamp, which reduces running costs.
■UV curing without temperature increases
A single 365-nm LED UV light source is used, which does not include infrared radiation. This
eliminates the risk of heat damage to the workpiece.
■Stable UV intensity
UV intensity is kept constant, even if the ambient or LED temperature changes.
■Easy-to-install LED head
At 12 mm dia. x 52 mm len., the LED is easy to mount on a jig. Locking the LED head in place reduces
overheating and increases UV intensity.
■No cooling fan construction allows use in clean rooms
There is no need to deal with exhaust.
■Programmable UV radiation from 4 or 2 independent heads
Each LED head can be independently controlled. Each head can be controlled together or in
combination as well. Setting irradiation patterns with programmed UV intensities and irradiation time
separately for each head in keeping with the qualities of the material to cure enables 10 different work
patterns to be stored.

■Easy operation via touch panel
Perform setup and operation via a touch panel on the front of the unit. The LED status is displayed
during UV irradiation.
■Wide range of safety features
The system is equipped with features to sense overcurrent and breaks in the LED head cord. If the
LED becomes abnormally overheated, due to an ambient temperature increase or the like, it
automatically turns off. The system is also equipped with emergency UV irradiation shutoff terminals
and a fuse in the main unit (3.15A).
■Removable external terminal block
Efficiently connect to external devices via a removable terminal block.
■Free power source
Supports world-wide power: 100 to 240 V AC ±10%.

■ANUJ5014/5012Aicure Operation Modes
The ANUJ5014/5012 Aicure has the following operation modes.
Manual Mode
On the Menu screen, touch MANUAL to operate from the Manual Mode screen.
•Press the EMISSION button on the main unit to begin irradiation. Press the EMISSION button
again to stop it. During irradiation, the EMISSION button is illuminated.
•In Manual Mode, all inverted-display (LED connected/selected) LEDs shine at once.
•During irradiation, the modulation ratio can be adjusted.
When the light modulation ratio is 0%, no irradiation will be performed.
Auto Batch Pulse Start Mode (Initial Setting)
On the Menu screen, ensure that ALL/Pulse are inverted. Touch Auto to operate from theAuto Mode
screen.
•When the main unit is in READY status, the external START 1 signal initiates batch irradiation of
the LEDs selected for this model.
•When the main unit is in READY status, pressing the EMISSION button on the main unit initiates
batch irradiation of the LEDs selected for this model.
•If any of the LEDs to be used for irradiation are currently irradiating (NO LED status), irradiation
will not begin.
•Emergency stop during irradiation can be achieved via setting the emergency stop signal on the
main unit to “open” (normally “closed”), when the external STOP 1 signal is turned on, or when
the EMISSION button on the main unit is on.
Auto Individual Pulse Start Mode
On the Menu screen, select MULTI/ Pulse, and touch Auto to operate from the Auto Mode screen.
•When the main unit is in READY status, the external Start signals initiate individual irradiation of
the LEDs selected for this model.
•When the main unit is in READY status, pressing the EMISSION button on the main unit initiates
batch irradiation of the LEDs selected for this model.
•If an LED to be used for irradiation is currently irradiating, irradiation will not begin. (Irradiation of
other LEDs is possible.)
•Emergency stop during irradiation can be achieved via setting the emergency stop signal on the
main unit to “open” (normally “closed”), when the external START or STOP signal number
corresponding to the irradiating LED is turned on, or when the EMISSION button on the main unit
is on.

■The Setup Sequence
The sequence required to configure the ANUJ5014/5012 Aicure for use is described below.
Turn on Power
1 Plug the power cord into the main unit.
2 Plug the connection cable into the main unit.
3 Plug the connection cable into the LED head.
4 Attach the LED to the jig.
5 Insert the power key into the main unit, and turn it 90
degrees.
Setting up for Manual Operation (Parameter Setup)
6 Touch MENU to return to the Menu screen, and switch to
MANUAL.
7 Configure the light modulation ratio (initial setting: 100%).
8 Select an LED (inverted display).
9 On the main unit, press the EMISSION button (irradiation
begins).
The light modulation ratio can be changed during irradiation.
10 Press the EMISSION button again (irradiation stops).
Model Setup
11 On the Menu screen, touch TYPE CHG to change to the
Model Switch screen.
12 Select a model (initial setting: TYPE NO. 1)
External signals have precedence for model configuration. If the
external signal is 0, the system switches to the model configured
on the main unit.
13 Touch TYPE SET to change to the Model Setup screen.
14 Configure the model (1 to 10) for each LED (initial setting:
LED 1 = 1, LEDs 2 to 4 = 0 ).
15 Touch PATTERN to change to the Pattern Setup screen.
16 Select a pattern number (P1 to P10).
17 Configure the time and intensity for steps 1 to 10 (initial
setting: step 1 = 10.0 seconds 100% intensity; steps 2 to 10
= 0 seconds, 0% intensity).
To terminate the steps midway, set the time to 0 seconds.
Auto Mode Setup
18 On the Menu screen, select Pulse or STAT and MULTI. Or
ALL (initial setting: Pulse, ALL).

19 Touch AUTO to change to the Auto Mode screen.
20 Make sure that READY is displayed, and start irradiation.
Irradiation can be started via an external signal or the EMISSION
button on the main unit. The EMISSION button on the main unit
initiates batch irradiation.
21 During irradiation, the EMISSION button on the main unit is
illuminated, and the LED's external BUSY signal is on
(initial Busy signal setting: A CONTACT).
The Busy signal can be switched to B CONTACT.
22 When irradiation completes, the LED's external BUSY
signal is off.

4 Installation
Install the ANUJ5014/5012 Aicure under the conditions below.
4.1 Installation Conditions
1) Ambient temp.: Main unit: 10 to 40

2) Relative humidity: No greater than 85%, with no condensation
3) Make sure the rubber legs are set horizontally parallel.
4) In order to avoid damage due to overheating, do not use if the area
around the system is blocked.
5) The dimensions of the main unit are 85 x 218 x 230 mm (LxHxD),
but you should take into account the state of the unit with an LED
head attached.
The minimum allowable bending radius for the LED head cord is
33 mm. Using the cord with a curve radius of less than 33 mm
could damage it.
Do not place items on top of the main unit, or block its air vents.
Excessive heat could damage the unit due to overheating.
4.2 General Guide for Irradiation Distance and UV Intensity
Mount the LED head on the jig so that the irradiation distance is in
accordance with the size of the area to be irradiated (irradiation
diameter) and the required UV intensity. Below is a general guide for
irradiation distance (WD) and UV intensity.
At light modulation of 100%, room temperature of 25

5 Getting Started
After connecting the necessary cords, lastly plug in the power cord. This section describes the steps
up to turning on the power.
5.1 Hooking up the Connection Ca le
Remove the caps on the connection-cable terminals, and hook up the
cables.

Note: Cable labels are affixed to the main unit. Please use them if you
want to identify the cables.
Plug the female side of the connection cable into the main unit.
Plugging in the wrong side (the male connector) could bend the
connector pins or cause other issues.
