Atlona, Inc. (“Atlona”) Limited Product Warranty
Coverage
Atlona warrants its products will substantially perform to their published specications and will be free from defects
in materials and workmanship under normal use, conditions and service.
Under its Limited Product Warranty, Atlona, at its sole discretion, will either:
• repair or facilitate the repair of defective products within a reasonable period of time, restore products to their
proper operating condition and return defective products free of any charge for necessary parts, labor and
shipping.
OR
• replace and return, free of charge, any defective products with direct replacement or with similar products
deemed by Atlona to perform substantially the same function as the original products.
OR
• refund the pro-rated value based on the remaining term of the warranty period, not to exceed MSRP, in cases
where products are beyond repair and/or no direct or substantially similar replacement products exist.
Repair, replacement or refund of Atlona products is the purchaser’s exclusive remedy and Atlona liability does not
extend to any other damages, incidental, consequential or otherwise.
This Limited Product Warranty extends to the original end-user purchaser of Atlona products and is non-transferrable
to any subsequent purchaser(s) or owner(s) of these products.
Coverage Periods
Atlona Limited Product Warranty Period begins on the date of purchase by the end-purchaser. The date contained on
the end-purchaser ‘s sales or delivery receipt is the proof purchase date.
Limited Product Warranty Terms – New Products
• 10 years from proof of purchase date for hardware/electronics products purchased on or after June 1, 2013.
Exclusions:
- HDVS-CAM Series: PTZ motor is covered for 3 years; hardware, electronic circuit and optics are covered for
10 years
- VTP and VSP Series: 2-year limited product warranty
- Data cable (USB-C) and Wi-Fi antenna covered by 1 year warranty.
- WAVE-101: 3-year limited product warranty
• 3 years from proof of purchase date for hardware/electronics products purchased before June 1, 2013.
• Lifetime Limited Product Warranty for all cable products.
Limited Product Warranty Terms – Refurbished (B-Stock) Products and Discontinued Products
• 3 years from proof of purchase date for all Refurbished (B-Stock) and Discontinued hardware and electronic
products purchased on or after June 1, 2013.
Remedy
Atlona recommends that end-purchasers contact their authorized Atlona dealer or reseller from whom they
purchased their products. Atlona can also be contacted directly. Visit www.atlona.com for Atlona’s contact
information and hours of operation. Atlona requires that a dated sales or delivery receipt from an authorized dealer,
reseller or end-purchaser is provided before Atlona extends its warranty services. Additionally, a return merchandise
authorization (RMA) and/or case number, is required to be obtained from Atlona in advance of returns.
Atlona requires that products returned are properly packed, preferably in the original carton, for shipping. Cartons not
bearing a return authorization or case number will be refused. Atlona, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject
any products received without advanced authorization. Authorizations can be requested by calling 1-877-536-3976
(US toll free) or 1-408-962-0515 (US/international) or via Atlona’s website at www.atlona.com.

Exclusions
This Limited Product Warranty excludes:
• Damage, deterioration or malfunction caused by any alteration, modication, improper use, neglect, improper
packaging or shipping (such claims must be presented to the carrier), lightning, power surges, or other acts of
nature.
• Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from the installation or removal of this product from any
installation, any unauthorized tampering with this product, any repairs attempted by anyone unauthorized by
Atlona to make such repairs, or any other cause which does not relate directly to a defect in materials and/or
workmanship of this product.
• Equipment enclosures, cables, power supplies, batteries, LCD displays, and any accessories used in conjunction
with the product(s).
• Products purchased from unauthorized distributors, dealers, resellers, auction websites and similar unauthorized
channels of distribution.
Disclaimers
This Limited Product Warranty does not imply that the electronic components contained within Atlona’s products
will not become obsolete nor does it imply Atlona products or their electronic components will remain compatible
with any other current product, technology or any future products or technologies in which Atlona’s products may
be used in conjunction with. Atlona, at its sole discretion, reserves the right not to extend its warranty oering in
instances arising outside its normal course of business including, but not limited to, damage inicted to its products
from acts of god.
Limitation on Liability
The maximum liability of Atlona under this limited product warranty shall not exceed the original Atlona MSRP for
its products. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlona is not responsible for the direct, special, incidental or
consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory. Some
countries, districts or states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of relief, special, incidental, consequential or
indirect damages, or the limitation of liability to specied amounts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not
apply to you.
Exclusive Remedy
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this limited product warranty and the remedies set forth above are
exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral or written, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlona specically disclaims all implied warranties, including, without
limitation, warranties of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose. If Atlona cannot lawfully disclaim
or exclude implied warranties under applicable law, then all implied warranties covering its products including
warranties of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose, shall provide to its products under applicable law.
If any product to which this limited warranty applies is a “Consumer Product” under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty
Act (15 U.S.C.A. §2301, ET SEQ.) or other applicable law, the foregoing disclaimer of implied warranties shall not
apply, and all implied warranties on its products, including warranties of merchantability and tness for the particular
purpose, shall apply as provided under applicable law.
Other Conditions
Atlona’s Limited Product Warranty oering gives legal rights, and other rights may apply and vary from country to
country or state to state. This limited warranty is void if (i) the label bearing the serial number of products have been
removed or defaced, (ii) products are not purchased from an authorized Atlona dealer or reseller. A comprehensive

The Atlona AT-WAVE-101 is a wireless presentation and collaboration platform designed for easy content sharing
with iOS®, Android™, Mac®, Chromebook™, and Windows®devices. The WAVE-101 allows up to four presenters to
share their content simultaneously on-screen, with an Instructor Mode available for managing additional presenters
and selecting which to be displayed. Wireless BYOD interfacing is simply enabled through the device’s native casting
protocol (such as AirPlay®, Google Cast™, or Miracast™), without the need to install an app. For hands-free, eortless
user operation, Dynamic Layout Mode™is an innovative feature of the WAVE-101 that automatically adapts the
on-screen layout to new incoming or disconnected source content. The WAVE-101 is equipped with a host of other
convenient features for integrators and end users, including programmable display control, display of user-uploaded
images and video media, YouTube Live streaming, support for cloud-based digital signage applications, and much

1 Power Button and LED
Use this button to power the unit o, it must be
held for 4 seconds to turn the unit o. The LED will
illuminate green when the unit is on.

Connect optional USB Wi-Fi adapter (included) here
and/or USB to RS-232 adapter (purchased separately).
If needed, the USB ports are compatible with USB
hubs for expanding the amount of USB ports.

Installation
Mounting Instructions
The AT-WAVE-101 comes with a standard VESA mount, for mounting to displays, monitors, etc.
1. Attach the VESA mount to the mounting surface using 4 screws (not included).
2. Turn the WAVE-101 upside down and attach the two included screws to the bottom of the unit. The screws will
stick out a small amount.
3. Turn the WAVE-101 so that the screws line up with
the large oblong shaped holes on the VESA mount
and mount the unit to the mounting plate. The unit
should slide down if fully on the VESA mount.

Connection Instructions
IP Modes
1. *Optional* Connect a network switch to the Ethernet port, for A/V streams, IP control, and system conguration.
2. *Optional* Connect USB Wi-Fi adapter to one of the USB ports for connecting to an existing wireless network
(Connect mode) or creating a wireless network (Access Point mode).
3. *Optional* For RS-232 display control, connect a USB to RS-232 adapter to one of the USB ports.
4. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI output port to the display.
5. Connect the included 12V DC power supply from the power port to a compatible power outlet.
If a static IP is required, the WAVE-101 can be set to static IP mode within the Network section of the webGUI.
If AT-WAVE-101 is unable to detect a DHCP server within 15 seconds, then the unit will use a self-assigned IP
address within the range of 169.254.xxx.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.255.0
By default, the AT-WAVE-101 is set to DHCP mode. In this mode, when the WAVE-101 is connected to the Local Area
Network (LAN), it will automatically be assigned an IP address by the DHCP server (if available). This IP will display
on the splash screen on the display or can be scanned for on the network.

Casting
The AT-WAVE-101 has the ability to connect to devices on the network or through a wireless access point. Windows,
Chrome OS, Android, iOS, and macOS can all cast through the WAVE-101 to the connected display.
To disconnect, simply press the disconnect button in the top
center of the screen.

Miracast™
Miracast provides a way to wirelessly transmit content from Windows laptops and some android devices to displays.
Displaying Miracast devices can be set up in more than one way. Two methods are discussed below. The rst
method is the most direct method.
1. Press + keys, simultaneously.
2. The list of available devices will be displayed on the right-hand
side of the screen. Select the WAVE-101 hostname from the list.

reaching the section header Multiple displays.
3. Select the Connect to a wireless display link.
4. A new selection menu will open on the left side
of the screen. Select the wave-xxxx device
from the list.

NOTE: Miracast has two casting types, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Miracast over Infrastructure (MICE). P2P
transmits over its own created wireless access point, while Miracast over Infrastructure (recommended) uses
the current network to connect to devices. Only one P2P connection can be open at one time. If WAVE-101
is connected to a P2P connection, it will not be discoverable to other devices. Miracast over Infrastructure
can have multiple connections.

Casting
Google Cast™
1. Make sure both the WAVE-101 and the device running the chrome browser are on the same network.
2. Launch Google Chrome.
3. Locate and select the triple dot icon in the upper right corner of the browser.
4. Click the Cast... option from the drop-down menu. A new pop up will appear.
5. Select the WAVE from the Cast tab. A blue screen icon will appear on the tab while casting.
To stop casting, select WAVE from the Cast Tab again.
Google Cast provides a way to send content from Google Chrome browsers and/or Android devices to the display
wirelessly.

NOTE: By default, the browser will cast the current tab. By selecting the Sources menu, the desktop can be
set as the cast source.

1. Open Settings on the android device. This can be found either in the App Drawer, on the home screen if the
settings app has been added there, or in the top menu that can be accessed by swiping down.
Most Android devices have the ability to use Google Cast. The rst time for casting will have dierent steps than
future casting.

2. Select Connected devices from the menu.
3. Select Connection preference from the new screen.
4. Select Cast from the menu.
5. A list of compatible devices will appear. Select wave-xxxx from the list. A pop up will appear.

6. Press the Start now button. Once the unit is casting it will show connected on the Cast screen.

After the rst casting, an icon will appear in the top menu for quick and easy casting.
Select Screen Cast and press Disconnect on the pop up to end casting.

settings) to go to more quick launch icons. A Screen

AirPlay®
AirPlay® is only supported on Mountain Lion 10.8 or later. To determine if AirPlay is supported on the system being
used, click System Preferences > Displays. If the “Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available”
checkbox is not displayed, then AirPlay is not supported.
1. Make sure both the WAVE-101 and the AirPlay device are on the same network.
2. Select either Mirror or Use as Separate Display (extending) to cast over AirPlay.

Click the AirPlay icon in the menu bar and select the desired content to be mirrored.
• Extending
Click the AirPlay icon and select Use As Separate Display from the menu, to extend the desktop to another
display.
To turn o AirPlay, select the AirPlay icon and press Turn AirPlay O.
To turn o AirPlay, select the Stop Mirroring button.
iOS Devices
1. Make sure both the WAVE-101 and the iOS device are on the same network.
AirPlay is only supported on iOS 10 or higher.

2. Once connected, open the Control Center.
3. Select Screen Mirroring. A pop up will appear with a list of available AirPlay
devices.
4. Select wave-xxxx from the list of devices. A check mark will appear once WAVE-
101 is connected to the iOS device.

The WAVE-101 can send On/O commands to the display using an USB to RS-232 adapter (not included). This can
be set to a schedule through the webGUI Display control section or websocket (using the API found at https://atlona.
com/pdf/AT-WAVE-101_API.pdf).

WAVE-101 has the ability to be controlled and to schedule on/o commands for the display.

The unit has a built in web UI that will allow for unit conguration. See the WebGUI section, Settings, for more
information.

TCP Proxy
This unit has the ability to translate IP data to RS-232 through ports 9001. This enables control of devices through
TCP/IP that only have RS-232 ports. The unit will take the commands sent to port 9001 and send them to the
corresponding port. A USB to RS-232 adapter (not included) will be required to use TCP Proxy.

WebGUI
The WAVE-101 includes a built-in webGUI, which allows easy remote management and control of all features. Follow
the instructions below to access the webGUI.
1. Make sure that an Ethernet cable is connected between the Ethernet port on the AT-WAVE-101 and the network.
2. There are three ways to get to the webGUI: scan the QR code on the connected display’s screen, type the url on
the display’s screen into a web browser, or use an IP scanner to determine the IP address of the unit. A landing
page will display.
The landing page will provide quick instructions for connecting to the WAVE-101 for casting. This page will display
instructions based on the type of device connected. e.g. When a Windows OS device is connected it will display
instructions for Miracast and, if connecting to the WAVE-101 using a Chrome browser, Chrome cast.
From here, there are two navigation options: Instructor page and Settings page. To congure the WAVE-101 (including
display control) select Settings. For a user based content display and control area, select Instructor. It is best to go
to the Settings rst to set up the WAVE-101 exactly as needed prior to the rst use of Instructor Mode.
NOTE: If the WAVE-101 is connected to the same network via Connect Mode and Ethernet; the WebGUI
will not be accessible.

Settings
Settings provides a way to set things such as logins, network settings, customized home screens, and more.

System
Factory Reset - Select this button, if wanting a clean slate after going through and changing the settings of the
WAVE-101. A pop up will appear to verify a reset is what is needed, select FACTORY RESET link to conrm the
reset.
Reboot - When pressed, a pop up will appear to conrm the choice. Press the REBOOT button to reboot the
WAVE-101.
Room Name - Type the name of the room here. Hit the disk icon to save the name change. This will appear at
the top of the Welcome Screen.
Country - Set the country of the unit, this is especially important if using WAVE-101 as a Wi-Fi access point, so
that the until will adapt its conguration to match the region.
NOTE: Changing the country may cause the WAVE-101’s wireless access point to become disabled due
