Cleaning procedures for the My Vision X Cleaning Kit (Part number SE-00130-00)
My Vision X Cleaning Kit contains:
25 pre-moistened cleaning cards
6 Alcohol saturated snap swabs
1 pack of lint free wipes
Cleaning Kits may be ordered by faxing
your purchase order to [phone].
Suggested cleaning intervals are defined in
this text but you might find more frequent
cleaning is warranted in increased volume
locations or in dusty environments.
Weekly Cleaning
It is suggested to run the cleaning card once
a week. This will remove dust and dirt
buildup from the rollers and image cameras.
This will extend the interval between
needed manual cleaning as described in the
Operator Manual for these components.
1. Remove Ink Cartridge if present during
the cleaning process then replace when
finished.
2. Next, start the imaging application again
and cycle the cleaning card through the My
Vision X . Run the cleaning card through
the My Vision X 3-7 times, each time
rotating the cleaning card top to bottom and
flipped over to a different orientation.
Cancel the application transaction and
discard the used cleaning card.

Transport
Dust and Debris will accumulate in the
transport from the checks being processed.
It is recommended to purchase canned
compressed air locally and blow out the
check path in the transport to remove any
debris and dirt from the sensors and track,
locations the cleaning cards cannot reach.
This should be performed during the weekly
maintenance. Please see the Operator
Manual section 5 for more instructions.
Ink Jet maintenance
Clean the ink jet cartridge once a week at
the same time the cleaning cards are run
through the My Vision X. Clean the ink jet
cartridge removed prior to running the
cleaning cards by wiping the nozzles with a
lint free wipe. Replace the cartridge in the
nest. Please see the Operator Manual
section 5 for more instructions.
Monthly
Streaks may develop on the image caused
by a build up of ink deposits. If a streak
develops on the image and running the
cleaning card does not remove streak,
remove the inner and outer covers, gently
open the front image camera and using an
alcohol saturated snap swab wipe down the
glass on both front and back cameras.
Close the front image camera and replace
both the inner and outer covers.
