Bora Kala Bed
cleaning
Daily cleaning and disinfection with soapy water:
Rails. Head board. Foot board.
Cleaning and disinfection after a patient leaves or
before a transfer:
Mattress platform area. Chassis of the bed.
Thorough cleaning and disinfection every two
months:
Support and lifting area of the bed.
Maintenance
Always check the correct state of:
Electrical wiring
Wheels.
Braking mechanisms.

Telescopic side rails:
Rise rst section: Pull the side rail up, from central
section, until it is immobilized.
Low rst section: Slide both side handles inward
simultaneously, without releasing said handles
slide the side rail down.
Rise handrail: Simultaneously press the two devic-
es placed on the side rails and at the same time
slide the railing up, until locking.
Low handrail: Simultaneously press the two devic-
es placed on the side rails and at the same time
slide the railing down.

SAFETY WARNINGS
The maximum duration of a continuous manoeuvre should not exceed 2 minutes, as damage may be caused to the equipment.
Before raising and lowering the moving parts of the mattress platform, with the other parts of the bed or accessories, it is essential to check that there are no obstacles
between them.
The Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg movement should always be performed under medical supervision.
When the bed is in extended position, do not sit or lean on the foot part of the bed, since it may cause a bed dump.

Centralised braking system (1):
Braking the bed: Pedal in low posi-
tion.
Moving the bed: Pedal in intermedi-
ate position.
Steering wheel: Pedal in raised po-
sition.
Extended bed base (2):
Pull and turn the locking knobs 180º
to unlocked the anchoring system.
Pull the footboard until extended the
bed base completely.
Push until listening “click”.
lock and unlock of patient control
Function locking is used to disable bed basic functions, mainly to lock movements which has
to be done under medical guidance.
To Lock and Unlock the bed functions, only extract or insert the locking key. This key is local-
ised at the bottom of the wired control.
• Unlock: Insert the locking key on the lateral of wired control. The Indicators (L) are
lighted on green colour.
• Lock: Extract the locking key on the lateral of wired control. The Indicators (L) are
lighted on red colour.
