The battery levels are displayed on the Parklio app for your mobile device. If the battery is low
the app will warn you to charge the battery.
To charge the battery unlock the cover with the supplied key and open it, take the battery box
out of the cover. Uncover the battery adapter cover and plug in the adapter.
When the battery box is charging the green LED light will be turned on.
When the battery is full, the LED light will turn off.
Make sure the adapter cover is closed when the battery box is not charging!
Environment conditions for charging mode:
• For indoor use;
• For altitude up to 2000m;
• For ambient temperature 0°C to +45°C;
• For relative humidity 20% to 80%;
• For supply voltage uctuations up to ±10% of the rated voltage range;
• For transient overvoltage up to the levels of overvoltage category II;
• For applicable pollution degree of the intended environment 2 (PD 2).

03. SAFETY WARNINGS
This section contains safety instructions that will help to protect you from risk of injury or
property damage. Failure to follow these instructions will invalidate all warranties.
• Do not use the barrier, if you have not read and understood the operating instructions
before.
• Before rst use of the barrier, make sure that all the parts listed in these instructions
are inside of the original packaging.
• Only plugs and batteries supplied by the manufacturer of the barrier should
be used. Any replacement of batteries and connectors may affect the loss of warranty.
• Ignoring usage instructions,improper installation and use of the barrier may result in
damage to the barrier or injuries to the user. Instructions should always be at hand.
• Never expose the inner workings to water.
• The device must be exclusively installed on hard, at concrete oor.
• The device must be disconnected from the power supply during installation, maintenance,
cleaning and repairs.
• Leave the barrier repairs to a specialist. Improper repairs may lead to an accident or a
malfunction in the unit.
• The warranty does not cover consumable parts of the device, color fading and chipping,
increased noise as a result of aging of the device and other aesthetic effects that do not
affect its functionality or safety. Never use chemical solvents on the product as it may
cause an explosion.
• Strictly follow the instructions for proper installation and connection to the electrical net-
work.
THE APPLIANCE HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO ALL VALUENT SAFETY CRI-
TERIA AND STANDARDS. HOWEVER, WE RECOMMEND THAT WITHOUT THE NEEDED
HELP AND SUPERVISION, CHILDREN BY 8 YEARS, A PERSON OF DISABLED PHYSICAL,
MOTOR OR PERSONAL EQUALITY AND RELATED PERSONS WITHOUT A PREVIOUS EX-
PERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE DO NOT USE THE BARRIER. EXCEPTION IS THE DEVICE
USAGE UNDER ADEQUATE SUPERVISION, IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED SAFETY INSTRUC-
TIONS, OR IF THEY ARE INFORMED ABOUT THE DANGER CAUSED BY IMPROPER US-
AGE. THE SAME RECOMMENDATION IS FOR JUVENILES AND THEIR USAGE OF THE
DEVICE.

04. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
4.1CHECKING PARTS
4.2 OPENING THE BARRIER
After unpacking the barrier check that all necessary parts are delivered.
The original packaging should include the following items:
1. Parklio barrier
2. Power adapter (charger)
3. Anchor x 4
4. Battery box
5. Electronic box
6. Key x 2
7. Safety pin
The barrier is shipped sealed and folded.
After opening the packaging, pull the barrier out and place it on a at concrete oor and unfold
the barrier arm to the ground.

4.4 BARRIER INSTALLATION

The above illustration is only a proposal for setting the barrier and does not
condition users setup but is required for full functionality of the barrier.
For the installation you will need an electrical drill with Ø10 drill bit , a hammer, a size 13 socket
wrench, and 4 units of Ø10 anchors that come with the barrier package.
Step 1 - MARKING DRILLING SPOTS
Mark the four spots that need to be drilled. It is
recommended to use the barrier base [Figure 2 -
Interior of the barrier] as a template.

Step 2 - DRILLING MARKED SPOTS
Drill the previously marked spots with a 10 mm
drill bit.
Step 3 - ANCHOR PLACEMENT
Place the barrier over the drilled holes so that
the drilled holes in the ground match with the
holes on the barrier [Figure 2-part 6]. After that,
place the anchors in the holes and insert them
into the holes by a slight hammer stroke.

Step 4 - FIX THE BARRIER
Fix the barrier i.e. tighten the anchors with the
size 13 socket wrench.
4.5 SETTING UP THE BARRIER
Put the arm in a vertical position, insert the safety pin through the holes, lock the mechanism
assembly by pushing the lock. Make sure the cross pin on the safety pin is parallel to the
mechanism assembly.
If the cross pin is not positioned properly the mechanism assembly will not be
lockable.

4.6 PUTTING THE BARRIER IN OPERATION
Step 1 - CONNECTING THE BATTERY BOX
Before connecting battery box [Figure 6] to the electronic box [Figure 3], it is necessary for the
barrier to be installed to desired spot on the ground like described in the section 4.4 above.
Unlock the case with the supplied key and connect the battery box [Figure 6] and electronics
box [Figure 3] cables inside the case. The boxes should be aligned vertically and horizontally
one to the another.
Please, check on the battery box that the cap on the charging port is
closed!
Step 2 - CLOSING THE COVER
Place the barrier cover over the housing so the cover matches with the slot in the base and
lock the cover by pushing in the lock.
CHECK THAT THE CABLE DOESN’T NOT PROTRUDE UNDER THE COVER!

Step 4 - REGISTRATION IN THE MOBILE APP
There are two ways to login, with e-mail or with Gmail.
a.) Login with email
You need to click on the "New User" button and enter your email address along with the de-
sired password. After that, the previously entered email address will receive a conrmation
message for the account within the Parklio mobile application.
b.) Login with Gmail account
By clicking the "Sign in via Gmail" button within the Parklio application, an account with the
linked Gmail account will be automatically generated.
Step 5 - PAIRING THE BARRIER WITH THE MOBILE APPLICATION
By clicking the button in the lower right corner, a new screen opens where all Parklio barri-
ers are listed.Select a barrier with your serial number located inside the barrier. After selection,
on the main screen, the application will show all the barriers you have paired with. Clicking on
a particular barrier opens the screen through which you manage the chosen barrier.

5.1 ANDROID
5.1.1 LOWERING AND EXTENDING THE BARRIER
• By pressing the „lower“ button, the barrier will open.
• By pressing the „extend“ button the barrier will close.
5.1.2 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BARRIER
By clicking the settings icon a new screen will open where the user can change the title
of the barrier by clicking on the „Title“ button.

5.1.3 AUTO-CLOSE
By clicking the settings icon a new screen will open where the user can turn the au-
to-close option on or off.
When the auto-close option is turned on Parklio barrier will automatically close upon vehicle
departure. When the auto-close option is turned off, the barrier will not automatically close.
5.1.4 BATTERY STATUS
By clicking the settings icon a new screen will open where the user can see battery status
within the “Battery” eld.

5.1.5 REMOVING THE BARRIER
By clicking the settings icon a new screen will open. In the new dialog box click the „Re-
move“ button to remove the selected barrier.

5.1.6 KEY SHARING
By clicking the share icon a new screen with a search eld will open. The user needs to
type the recipient’s email in the search eld.
After the user has typed the correct email address a new card will open where the barrier
owner can dene the time interval in which the key will be valid and user privileges.
