DS-1 Digital Scale
The DS-1 is a versatile digital scale built to accurately weigh bikes, frames,
and components. The unique design allows the DS-1 to be clamped securely
in a ParkTool Repair Stand or hung from a hook. Ideal for the professional bike
shop or home workshop.

Operation:
1. Install three AAA Alkaline batteries (not included) into battery
compartment in back of DS-1.
2. Clamp hex shaft of DS-1 in a Park Tool Repair Stand or hang lanyard of
DS-1 by a stable hook.
3. Press and release power button to turn scale on. Holding down the power
button will cause the DS-1 to turn off.
4. Press kg/lb button to switch between weight units. The DS-1 will weigh
in pounds/ounces or in kilograms.
5. Place item to be weighed on hook. Do not overload the DS-1’s weight limit
of 55 lbs. (25 kg).
6. Read weight on display.
7. Push power button to turn scale off. The DS-1 has an auto shut-off
feature that will turn off the unit after three minutes of inactivity.
Tare feature:
The DS-1 has a tare feature that can be used to eliminate the weight of a
container. After turning the scale on, hang an empty container from the hook
and wait for the weight of the container to be displayed. Press the tare button
and the scale will reset to 0.0. Place items in the container and the weight of
the items will be displayed.
Notes:
The DS-1 is a precision instrument and should be handled with care to avoid
damage to internal parts. Do not drop the scale or handle in a rough manner.
Avoid exposure to dirt, moisture, and extreme heat and cold. Remove batteries
if DS-1 will be stored for more than 10 days without use. If the DS-1 weighs
inaccurately, the batteries may be low on power and should be replaced.
DS-1 Balance à Lecture Digitale
Le DS-1 est une balance pour peser facilement et avec précision vélos,
cadres et accessoires. Un design unique permet de fixer le DS-1 dans votre

Mode d’emploi:
1. Installer 3 piles alkalines AAA (non inclus) dans le compartiment pour
piles au dos du DS-1.
2. Placer le montant hexagonale dans votre pied d’atelier ou fixer la anière
à un crochet.
3. Appuyer sur l’interrupteur pour mettre en marche. Pour éteindre
maintenir la pression sur l’interrupteur.
4. Appuyer sur la touche kg/lb pour choisir l’unité de mesure. Avec le DS-1
vous pouvez mesurer en livres et onces ou en kilogrammes.
5. Placer l’objet à peser sur le crochet. Ne pas dépasser 25 kg.
6. Le poids est affiché.
7. Appuyer l’interrupteur pour éteindre la balance. Le DS-1 incorpore une
fonction fermeture automatique qui se déclenche après trois minutes
d’inactivité.
Fonction tare:
Le DS-1 a une fonction tare qui permet de ne pas prendre en compte
le poids d’un récipient. Mettre la balance en fonction puis peser votre
récipient. Appuyer sur la touche tare et la lecture revient à zéro. Mettez les
objets à peser dans votre récipient et vous obtiendrez la lecture digitale des
seuls objets.
A noter:
Le DS-1 est un instrument de précision que vous devez traiter avec soin.
Evitez de laisser tomber la balance. Eviter la saleté et les extrêmes de froid
et de châleur. Si vous devez ne pas utiliser votre DS-1 pour plus de 10 jours
retirez les piles. Si vous constatez des imprécisions il est possible que les
piles soient faibles et que vous devez les remplacer.

DS-1 Digital Waage
Die DS-1 Waage ermöglicht schnelles und genaues wiegen eines Fahrrades
oder Rahmens und deren Komponenten. Das spezielle Design erlaubt es die
Waage in einen Park Tool Montageständer einzuklemmen oder sie an einem
Haken einzuhängen. Sie ist ideal für einen proffessionellen Fahrradshop
sowohl als auch für den Heimmechaniker.

Handhabung:
1. Sie drei AAA Alkaline Batterien (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) in das
Batteriefach in der Rückseite der DS-1 ein.
2. Klemmen Sie die DS-1 in einen ParkTool Montageständer oder hängen
Sie sie an einem stabilen Deckenhaken auf.
3. Drücken Sie kurz die PowerTaste um dieWaage einzuschalten. Halten Sie
die PowerTaste gedrückt, so schaltet die Waage sich wieder aus.
4. Durch drücken der kg/lbTaste wechseln Sie die Gewichtseinheiten von
Pounds/Ounces in Kilogramm oder umgekehrt.
5. Hängen Sie den zu wiegenden Gegenstand am Haken der Waage ein. Das
Maximalgewicht beträgt 25kg.
6. Das Gewicht wird am Display angezeigt.
7. Zum ausschalten PowerTaste gedrückt halten. Die DS-1 schaltet auch
automatisch nach 3 Minuten ab.
Tara funktion:
Die DS-1 verfügt über eineTara Funktion um das Gewicht z.B. eines
Wiegebehältnisses zu eliminieren. Nach dem anschalten der Waage den
Wiegebehälter an die Waage hängen und das anzeigen des Gewichtes auf
dem Display abwarten. Drücken Sie dieTaraTaste, die Anzeige springt auf 0,0
um. Legen Sie nun die zu wiegendenTeile in den Behälter, das Gewicht der
teile wird im Display angezeigt.
Anmerkungen:
Die DS-1 ist ein Präzisionsinstrument und muss sorgsam behandelt werden um
Beschädigungen an ihr zu vermeiden. Die Waage nicht Schmutz, Feuchtigkeit
und extremer Hitze oder Kälte aussetzen. Entnehmen Sie die Batterien der
DS-1 wenn Sie die Waage länger als 10 Tage nicht benutzen möchten. Zeigt
die DS-1 das Gewicht nicht mehr korrekt an, verfügen die Batterien nicht mehr
über genügend Energie und müssen ausgetauscht werden.

Operación:
1. Instale tres baterías alcalinas “AAA” (no incluidas), dentro del
compartimiento en la parte trasera del DS-1.
2. Sujete por el mango con las mordaza del soporte de reparación ParkTools
el DS-1 o cuélguelo de un gancho estable.
3. Presione el botón de encendido. Mantener presionado el botón.
4. Presione el botón de kg/lb para seleccionar la unidad de peso. El DS-1
puede pesar en libras/onzas o en kilogramos.
5. Coloque el objeto a ser pesado en el gancho. No sobrecargue el DS-1, el
limite de peso es de 55 lbs. (25 kg).
6. Observe el peso en la carátula.
7. Oprima el boto de encendido para apagar. El DS-1 tiene una función de
auto apagado por lo que se apagara automáticamente después de tres
minutos de inactividad.
Función tare:
La DS-1 tiene la función tare, la cual elimina el peso del recipiente de la pieza
a pesar. Después de encender la bascula, coloque el recipiente vacío en el
gancho y espere a que el peso se marque. Presione el botón de tare y la bas-
cula se reiniciara a 0.0. Coloque las piezas en el recipiente y el peso de los
mismos aparecerá en la carátula.
Notas:
El DS-1 es un instrumento de presicion, por lo que debe manejarse con
cuidado para evitar daños en las partes internas. No deje caer la bascula o
la maneje de forma ruda. Evite la exposición a la suciedad, humedad y el frió
o calor extremo. Remueva las baterías del DS-1 si es guardado por mas de
10 días sin uso. Si el DS-1 pesa incorrectamente, Las baterías pueden estar
bajas y deberán ser reemplazadas.
