LEARNING PROCEDURE
Once the connections are finished switch on the ignition to supply power to UNICOM, the
LED will flash RED quickly to indicate that the NO BUTTON PRESSED state has been memorized.

To skip a function press the UNICOM BUTTON once.
It is possibile to manage up to 8 buttons/levers.
If less than 8 buttons/levers are present on the steering wheel, it will be necessary to force the exit from
the programming manually.
To carry out this procedure, you only need to press the last button/lever of the steering wheel till the
UNICOM LED lights YELLOW.
When the programming is finished, the LED GREEN light will remain ON.
The learning procedure has been completed, insert the UNICOM JACK into the appropriate input on the
back side of the radio.
Switch on the autoradio, tune in the radio and use your car steering wheel commands to handle the fun-
ctions; if any trobles are found,please make the RESET and repeat very carefully the LEARNING PRO-
CEDURE from the beginning.
To RESET the unit keep UNICOM button pressed till the LED starts blinking RED.

Now you must assign to each functions of your the aftermarket radio an available button/lever on your car
steering wheel command.
Functions assignement follows the sequential logic described in the TABLE below
The first function available is VOLUME —.
Each time you press a button on your steering wheel, the UNICOM LED will briefly blink to indicate that
the function has been correctly memorized

UNICOM
UNICOM è un modulo adattatore UNIVERSALE per comandi autoradio a volante OEM, la sua compatibilità
si estende ad un vasto numero di vetture con protocollo resistivo ed alle autoradio ALPINE dotate di ingres-
so remote filare.
Seguendo una semplice procedura, il sofisticato microprocessore è in grado di apprendere il protocollo dei
comandi a volante OEM.
E’ possibile assegnare ad ogni tasto una delle funzioni gestite dall’autoradio ed elencate successivamente.
INSTALLAZIONE
UNICOM è dotato di un cablaggio multipolare, questa configurazione permette l’adattabilità del prodotto a
tutte le versioni di comandi a volante OEM conosciute.
A seconda dei modelli di vettura si collegheranno un certo numero di cavi.
Nella sezione CONNESSIONI sono descritte le differenti possibilità di installazione.
Gli schemi citati nella suddetta sezione sono relativi alle connessioni di UNICOM con numerose vetture tra
cui Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Renault, Fiat, Ford, Nissan, Kia, Peugeot, Opel, Hyundai ecc.
Per adattare UNICOM a vetture non presenti nelle CONNESSIONI è necessario avere informazioni precise
sul tipo di cablaggio presente in vettura.
