1. DESC IZIONE GENE ALE
1.1 Introduzione
Lunità di controllo P8036 permette, con lausilio delle postazioni
microfoniche PASO B613 e/o B616 e lutilizzo di uno o più boosters, di
avere un impianto completo di chiamata fino a sei zone con musica di
sottofondo. Sul pannello frontale trovano posto:
1selettore a 4 posizioni per la selezione delle sorgenti musicali;
1regolatore di livello;
6interruttori per labilitazione/disabilitazione della musica di sottofondo
in ciascuna zona;
6led (verdi) che mostrano le zone interessate dalla chiamata in
corso;
1led (giallo) che mostra lo stato del VOX (*).
(*) Con la funzione VOX è possibile collegare il P8036 a una sorgente
esterna (a es.: centralino telefonico) che attiverà automaticamente
la chiamata generale in presenza i segnale sullingresso relativo.

1. GENE AL DESC IPTION
1.1 Introduction
The P8036 control unit can be used, with the help of PASO B613 and/or
B616 microphone stations and using one or more boosters, to make up
a full call system consisting of up to six zones with background music. The
following can be found on the front panel:
14-position selector switch for selecting the sources of music;
1level control;
6switches for enabling/disabling background music in each
zone;
6LEDs (green) signalling the areas that are affected by the on-
going call;
1LED (yellow) signalling the status of the VOX (*).
(*) With the VOX function, it is possible to connect the P8036 to an
outsi e source (e.g. to a PABX), that will activate the All Call function
automatically as soon as there is a signal on the associate input.

2.2 Note di sicurezza
La rimozione del coperchio dell'apparecchio presenta il rischio di scosse
elettriche. Ogni intervento all'interno dell'apparecchio deve essere
eseguito da personale specializzato. Prima di procedere alla
sostituzione dei fusibili, accertarsi di avere staccato il cavo di rete e
leventuale alimentazione secondaria. La sostituzione deve essere
effettuata con fusibili dello stesso tipo e valore. Non rimuovere mai il
conduttore di terra dal cavo di rete. Ad evitare il pericolo di scosse
elettriche o guasti, non introdurre oggetti specialmente se metallici,
attraverso le aperture dell'apparecchio. Nel caso di accidentale caduta
di liquidi sull'apparecchio, staccare immediatamente la spina di rete ed
interpellare il centro di assistenza PASO più vicino.

La PASO declina ogni responsabilità per danni a cose e/o persone
derivanti dall'uso non corretto dell'apparecchio o da procedure non
rispondenti a quanto riportato sul presente libretto.
2. AVVE TENZE GENE ALI
2.1 Installazione
Tutti gli apparecchi PASO sono costruiti nel rispetto delle più severe
normative internazionali di sicurezza ed in ottemperanza ai requisiti
della Comunità Europea. Per un corretto ed efficace uso dellunità P8036
è importante prendere conoscenza di tutte le caratteristiche leggendo
attentamente le presenti istruzioni ed in particolare le note di sicurezza.
Durante il funzionamento dellapparecchio è necessario assicurare
unadeguata ventilazione. Evitare di racchiudere il P8036 in un mobile
privo di aerazione o di tenerlo in prossimità di sorgenti di calore.
Assicurarsi che tutti gli ingressi e le uscite siano correttamente collegati
prima dellaccensione. Questo apparecchio è predisposto per il montaggio
in mobile rack standard 19.
2.3 Alimentazione e messa a terra
Lapparecchio é predisposto per il funzionamento con tensione di rete a
230 V ± 10%, 0/60 Hz. In alternativa, è previsto il funzionamento
con una tensione continua esterna di 24V applicabile ai relativi
morsetti [9]. In accordo con le normative di sicurezza, linterruttore di
accensione [7] agisce solo sulla tensione di rete. Lapparecchio é corredato
di cavo di alimentazione con filo di messa a terra ed il relativo terminale
sulla spina di rete non deve essere rimosso in alcun caso. Assicurarsi che
la presa di corrente sia dotata di collegamento di terra a norme di legge.
3. CONNESSIONI
Allunità di controllo P8036 è possibile collegare fino ad un massimo di
basi B613 e/o B616. Vengono di seguito illustrate le due modalità di
utilizzo dellapparecchio.
3.1 Collegamento alle postazioni microfoniche
Le morsettiere ZONE SELECT [10] e BASE INPUT [13] devono essere
utilizzate per la connessione delle postazioni microfoniche allunità di
controllo: a questo scopo, seguire le indicazioni riportate nelle fig. 3.1.1.
IMPO TANTE!
Per la connessione alla morsettiera BASE INPUT è necessario eliminare
la presa DIN e collegare i cavi ai relativi morsetti.
Per connettere più basi in parallelo si dovranno collegare allo stesso
morsetto i cavi dello stesso colore provenienti da ciascuna base.

2.2 Safety notes
There is a risk of electric shock if the cover of the equipment is removed.
Any activities inside the equipment must be carried out exclusively by
specialised personnel. Before replacing the fuses, make sure that the
power cable has been disconnected and that any secondary sources
of power have been switched off. The fuses should be replaced with
others of the same type and having the same rating. Never disconnect
the earth wire from the power cable. In order to avoid the danger of
electric shocks, do not introduce any objects, particularly if made of
metal, through the openings in the equipment. If liquid is accidentally
spilt on the equipment, disconnect the power cable at one and contact
the closest PASO Service Centre.

injury arising out of incorrect use of the equipment or of procedures
that do not comply with the contents of this booklet.
2. GENE AL WA NINGS
2.1 Installation
All PASO equipment is designed in accordance with the most stringent
international safety standards and to meet European Community
requisites. In order to use the P8036 unit correctly and effectively,
it is necessary to have a good knowledge of all its characteristics by
reading carefully these instructions and, in particular, the safety
notes. It is necessary to provide adequate ventilation while the
equipment is in operation. Do not close the P8036 inside a cabinet
with no ventilation and do not keep it close to sources of heat. Make
sure that all the inputs and outputs are connected correctly before
switching it on. This equipment has provisions for mounting in a
standard 19 rack.
2.3 Power supply and earthing
This equipment is designed to operate on a mains supply of 230 V ± 10%,
0/60 Hz. As an alternative, it can be operated by means of an outside
24 VDC source applicable to the relevant terminals [9]. As required by
the safety regulations, the ON/OFF switch [7] only controls the mains
voltage. The equipment is supplied with its own power cable, which has
an earthing wire and the associated terminal on the mains plug should
never be removed under any circumstances. Make sure that the power
outlet is connected to earth in accordance with the law.
3. CONNECTIONS
It is possible to connect up to a maximum of B613 and/or B616
bases to the P8036 control unit. The two ways of using the equipment
are illustrated below.
3.1 Connection to the microphone stations
The ZONE SELECT [10] and BASE INPUT [13] terminal strips must be
used to connect the microphone stations to the control unit. To do this,
follow the indications provided in Fig. 3.1.1.

In order to make the connection to the BASE INPUT terminal strip, it is
necessary to eliminate the DIN socket and to connect the cables to the
appropriate terminals. To connect more than one base in parallel, it is
necessary to connect the cables of the same colour from each base to
the relevant terminal.

Alcuni impianti utilizzano degli
attenuatori locali (es.: Serie TLxx)
posti sugli altoparlanti, per consentire
una regolazione individuale dei singoli
punti demissione.
In questo caso può essere necessario
by-passare gli attenuatori (funzione
comunemente chiamata OVERRIDE)
per poter diffondere gli annunci
vocali, i messaggi di emergenza od i
messaggi dallarme al più alto livello

In questo tipo dimpianto, quando vengono emessi gli annunci nelle zone
selezionate, viene interrotto il collegamento tra le linee delle zone non
selezionate e la linea di amplificazione: la diffusione di segnale su tali
zone, pertanto, risulterà interrotta per tutto il tempo in cui rimane attiva
la selezione (vedi fig. 3.2.3).
3.2 Selezione della modalità di amplificazione
I micro-interruttori [17] devono essere utilizzati per selezionare la
modalità di funzionamento con singola o doppia amplificazione e per
attribuire la priorità allingresso BASE od allingresso VOX. Nelle figure
3.2.1 e 3.2.2 sono illustrate le due configurazioni possibili.

In this type of system, when announcements are broadcast to the zones
that have been selected the connection between the lines to the zones
that have not been selected and the amplification line is broken off. This
means that the signal will not be broadcast to these zones as long as the
selection remains active (see Figure 3.2.3).
3.2 Selecting the amplification mode
The micro-switches [17] must be used to select the operating mode,
with either single or dual amplification, and in order to attribute priority
either to the BASE input or to the VOX input. The two possible
configurations are illustrated in Figures 3.2.1 and 3.2.2.

Some systems use local attenuators
(e.g..: TLxx range) installed on the
loudspeakers to enable individual
adjustment of the single points of
emission.
In this case, it may be necessary to
by-pass the attenuators (thus
function is normally known as
OVERRIDE) in order to broadcast
voice announcements, emergency
messages or alarm messages at the
highest possible level of sound.

Nel caso fosse necessario per una singola zona avere grandi potenze
duscita, è possibile utilizzare la selezione delle zone per commutare i
segnali a basso livello. In questo modo, luscita di zona verrà connessa
allingresso i uno o più amplificatori, che alimenteranno la singola zona.

If it is necessary for the output power in a single zone to be particularly
high, it is possible to use zone selection to switch the low signals. In this
way, the zone output will be connected to the input of one or more
amplifiers, which will supply power to the single zone.
 Dual amplification line
In this type of system, the announcements will be broadcast only to
those zones that have been selected, while background music will
continue to be broadcast in the remaining zones (see Fig. 3.2.4).

3.3. elè di servizio
Lapparecchio è dotato di un relè di servizio che può essere utilizzato per
attivare, ad esempio, lemissione di messaggi preregistrati. Nella figura
3.3.1 viene mostrata lapplicazione pratica del caso appena descritto.
Lunità di controllo P8036 viene collegata al generatore digitale di
messaggi DMG9016; premendo il tasto 6 sulla postazione B616, il relè
si attiverà e chiuderà due contatti della tastiera esterna del DMG9016,
il quale di conseguenza abiliterà linvio del messaggio preregistrato
(nellesempio, il messaggio N°4 del Canale A).
Tramite il comando di precedenza VOX, il P8036 interromperà la musica
di sottofondo - se presente - ed invierà il messaggio a TUTTE le zone.
Per riportare il sistema allo stato iniziale, basterà premere nuovamente
il tasto 6 sulla postazione.

3.3. Service relay
The equipment has a service relay that can be used, for example, to
activate broadcasting of pre-recorded messages. A practical application
of this case is shown in Figure 3.3.1.
The P8036 control unit is connected to the DMG9016 Digital Message
Generator. On pressing key 6 on station B616, the relay will be activated
and will close two contacts on the external keypad of the DMG9016.
The latter will therefore enable the pre-recorded message to be sent
out (in the example, message N° 4 of Channel A).
Using the VOX priority command, the P8036 will stop the background
music  if any  and send the message to ALL zones.
To return the system to its initial state, it will be sufficient to press
button 6 on the station again.

1. DESC IPTION GÉNÉ ALE
1.1 Introduction
Lunité de commande P8036 permet, en utilisant des postes
microphoniques PASO B613 et/ou B616 et un ou plusieurs boosters, de
disposer dune installation complète dappel jusquà six zones, avec
musique de fond. Sur le panneau avant sont présents:
1sélecteur à 4 positions pour la sélection des sources musicales;
1régulateur de niveau;
6interrupteurs pour lactivation/exclusion de la musique de fond dans
chaque zone;
6voyantes (vertes) montrant les zones concernées par lappel en
cours;
1voyant (jaune) montrant létat de la fonction VOX (*).
(*) Grâce à la fonction VOX, il est possible e connecter lunité P8036 à
une source extérieure (par ex. : stan ar téléphonique) qui activera
automatiquement lappel général en présence un signal sur lentrée
relative.

1. ALLGEMEINE BESCH EIBUNG
1.1 Einleitung
Mit der Kontrolleinheit P8036 und bei der Verwendung der
Mikrofonsprechstellen PASO B613 und/oder B616 sowie unter Einsatz
eines oder mehreren Booster verfügt man über eine komplette Rufanlage
bis zu sechs Zonen, die auch über die Funktion Hintergrundmusik verfügt.
Das Rückpaneel ist wie folgt ausgerüstet:
1Wählschalter mit 4 Positionen für die Auswahl der Musik-Tonquellen;
1Stufenschalter;
6Schalter für die Aktivierung/Deaktivierung der Hintergrundmusik in
jeder Klangzone;
6LED (grün), die die vom laufenden Ruf betroffenen Zonen anzeigen;
1LED (gelb), das den Zustand des VOX (*) anzeigt.
(*) Es besteht ie Möglichkeit, as P8036 mit Hilfe er Funktion VOX an
eine externe Quelle (z. B. Telefonzentrale) anzuschließen, ie bei
einem am entsprechen en Eingang vorliegen en Signal en
allgemeinen Ruf automatisch aktiviert.

2.2 emarques concernant la sécurité
Lenlèvement du couvercle de lappareil expose à un risque de secousses
électriques. Toute intervention à lintérieur de lappareil doit être
réalisée par un personnel spécialisé. Avant de procéder au
remplacement des fusibles, sassurer que le câble de réseau a été
débranché, ainsi que léventuelle alimentation secondaire. Le
remplacement doit seffectuer au moyen de fusibles du même type et
de la même valeur. Ne jamais enlever le conducteur de terre du câble
de réseau. Afin déviter le risque de secousses électriques ou de pannes,
ne pas introduire dobjets, en particulier dobjets métalliques, à travers
les ouvertures de lappareil. En cas de chute accidentelle de liquides
sur lappareil, débrancher immédiatement la fiche de réseau et
sadresser au centre dassistance PASO le plus proche.
IMPO TANT!
PASO décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages à des personnes
et/ou à des choses dus à une utilisation non correcte de lappareil ou
à des procédures non conformes aux indications fournies dans le
présent manuel.
2. ECOMMANDATIONS GÉNÉ ALES
2.1 Installation
Tous les appareils PASO sont construits dans le respect des
réglementations internationales les plus sévères en matière de sécurité,
et en conformité avec les prescriptions de la Communauté Européenne.
Aux fins dune utilisation correcte et efficace de lunité P8036, il est
important de prendre connaissance de toutes les caractéristiques en
lisant attentivement les présentes instructions, et en particulier les
remarques concernant la sécurité. Pendant le fonctionnement de
lappareil, il est nécessaire dassurer une ventilation appropriée. Éviter
dinstaller lunité P8036 dans un meuble empêchant une aération
suffisante, ou à proximité de sources de chaleur. Avant dallumer, sassurer
que toutes les entrées et sorties sont reliées correctement. Cet appareil
est prédisposé pour le montage dans un meuble rack standard 19.
2.3 Alimentation et mise à la terre
Lappareil est prédisposé pour le fonctionnement à une tension de réseau
de 230 V ± 10%, 0/60 Hz. Comme alternative, le fonctionnement à une
tension continue extérieure de 24 V applicable aux bornes relatives [9]
est prévu. En accord avec les réglementations en matière de sécurité,
linterrupteur dallumage [7] agit uniquement sur la tension de réseau.
Lappareil est muni dun câble dalimentation avec fil de mise à la terre ; la
cosse relative sur la fiche de réseau ne doit en aucun cas être enlevée.
Sassurer que la prise de courant est munie dun branchement à la terre
conforme aux dispositions de la loi.
3. CONNEXIONS
Il est possible de relier jusquà un maximum de bases B613 et/ou
B616 à lunité de commande P8036. Les deux modalités dutilisation de
lappareil sont décrites ci-après.
3.1 Branchement aux postes microphoniques
Les boîtes de connexion ZONE SELECT [10] et BASE INPUT [13]
doivent être utilisées pour le branchement des postes microphoniques à
lunité de commande : pour ces opérations, suivre les indications fournies
à la fig. 3.1.1.
IMPO TANT!
Pour le branchement à la boîte de connexion BASE INPUT, il est
nécessaire déliminer la prise DIN et de relier les câbles aux bornes
relatives. Pour relier plusieurs bases en parallèle, il faudra relier à la
même borne les câbles de la même couleur provenant de chaque base.

2.2 Sicherheitshinweise
Wenn der Gerätedeckel entfernt wird, besteht Stromschlaggefahr.
Alle Eingriffe im Geräteinnern müssen von Fachleuten durchgeführt
werden. Vor Auswechseln der Sicherungen muss sichergestellt werden,
dass das Netzkabel abgezogen und die eventuell angeschlossene
zweite Einspeisung abgestellt wurde. Die Sicherungen müssen durch
Sicherungen gleichen Typs und Wertes ersetzt werden. Entfernen Sie
nie den Erdschutzleiter. Zur Vermeidung der Stromschlaggefahr oder
Defekten dürfen keine Gegenstände, insbesondere Metallteile durch
die Öffnungen in das Gerät eingeführt werden. Bei versehentlichem
Auslaufen von Flüssigkeiten auf dem Gerät muss sofort der Netzstecker
abgezogen und das nächste PASO-Kundendienstzentrum verständigt
werden.

PASO lehnt jegliche Haftung für Schäden an Personen und/oder
Gegenständen ab, die durch eine nicht zweckmäßige Verwendung des
Geräts oder durch ein Vorgehen entstehen, das nicht den Vorschriften
dieses Handbuchs entspricht.
2. ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
2.1 Installation
Alle Geräte von PASO sind entsprechend den strengsten internationalen
Sicherheitsvorschriften und unter Berücksichtigung der Anforderungen
der Europäischen Gemeinschaft gebaut. Für einen korrekten und
wirksamen Einsatz der Einheit P8036 ist es erforderlich, alle
Eigenschaften zu kennen und hierfür die vorliegenden Anweisungen,
insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise aufmerksam zu lesen. Während
des Betriebs des Geräts muss für eine ausreichende Belüftung gesorgt
werden. Vermeiden Sie es, den P8036 in einem Schrank ohne Belüftung
oder in der Nähe von Wärmequellen aufzustellen. Stellen Sie vor dem
Einschalten sicher, dass alle Ein- und Ausgänge ordnungsgemäß
angeschlossen wurden. Das Gerät ist für die Montage in einem 19-
Standardrack ausgelegt.
2.3 Einspeisung und Erdung
Das Gerät ist für einen Betrieb bei Netzspannung mit 230 V ± 10%,
0/60 Hz ausgelegt. Alternativ ist der Betrieb bei externer
Gleichspannungseinspeisung von 24V vorgesehen, die an den
entsprechenden Klemmenbrettern [9] angelegt wird.
In Übereinstimmung mit den Sicherheitsbestimmungen, betätigt der
Geräthauptschalter [7] nur die Netzspannung. Das Gerät ist mit einem
Einspeisungskabel mit Erdleiter ausgerüstet; das entsprechende Endstück
am Netzstecker darf auf keinen Fall entfernt werden. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass die Steckdose einen normgerechten Erdleiter besitzt.
3. ANSCHLÜSSE
An die Kontrolleinheit P8036 können maximal Sprechstellen B613
und/oder B616 angeschlossen werden. Im Folgenden werden die beiden
Verwendungsmodalitäten des Geräts beschrieben.
3.1 Anschluss an die Mikrofonsprechstellen
Für den Anschluss der Mikrofonsprechstellen an die Kontrolleinheit müssen
die Klemmenbretter ZONE SELECT [10] und BASE INPUT [13]
verwendet werden: Befolgen Sie zu diesem Zweck die Anweisungen in
der Abbildung 3.1.1.
WICHTIG!
Für den Anschluss an das Klemmenbrett BASE INPUT muss die DIN-
Buchse entfernt und die Kabel an die entsprechenden Klemmen
angeschlossen werden. Bei parallelem Anschluss mehrer Sprechstellen
müssen die Kabel gleicher Farbe aller Sprechstellen an dieselbe Klemme
gelegt werden.
