HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK
To charge, insert the charging cable into the USB port of the battery pack and connect to the power adapter.
When charging the 4 white lights near to the charging cable connection will blink.
Full charge is indicated when the white lights become solid. A full charge takes up to 6 hours.
A fully charged device is ready to be used for approximately eight sessions.
As the device is powered by a lithium battery, the battery capacity will gradually decrease with long term usage.
Connect the mouthpiece to the battery pack via the power cable.
Place the mouthpiece in your upper jaw inside your mouth, make sure that it is centered in your jaw (use front
teeth as reference).
Gently hold the mouthpiece in place with light biting pressure.
Press the on-o switch located at the middle of the power cable, and you will see a blue light go on and the
treatment starts.
After 4 minutes you will hear a beep sound and the blue light will turn o. Treatment for the upper teeth is
complete.
Flip the mouthpiece, turn the device on again and repeat the above steps on the lower jaw.

A warm and relaxing feeling might be felt in your jaw/gingival area after a while of usage, this is a natural result of light therapy.

The usage can be paused simply by removing the mouthpiece from your mouth.
You can resume use by putting the mouthpiece back into your mouth.
If you have paused the device for more than 30 seconds, it would be considered an unsuccessful session
and the whole session for that specific jaw would need to be repeated.
To restart the session, turn o the power and turn it back on. Reinsert the mouthpiece back into the
mouth, press the “on-o switch” again, and repeat the 4 minutes for the arch previously being treated.
COMPLIANCE RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended to select the same time every day to do your treatment. It actually takes about 3 weeks
to make a habit, so patiently keep using it regularly.
Suggestions on making it a habit:
Set up PBM healing ortho next to your bed so you can use it the first thing upon rising or just before
sleeping.
Or place it by your computer or tv and use the PBM healing ortho when using the computer or watching
tv.

PAUSING USAGE

All the components are not replaceable or serviceable (including lithium battery).
Normally, during the usage, components should not need any replacements.
Wear marks, especially bite marks that become present in the mouthpieces over time of usage, are
normal and there is no need to replace the device.
If the device tears, or the internal surface of the mouthpiece becomes exposed, stop use immediately
and contact your doctor or PBM Healing.
Part Replacement:
The PBM Ortho device should last for up to two years if used daily with care and within the ranges
recommended by the manufacturer.
The PBM Ortho device includes a lithium battery that will lose charge over time if not recharged. The
device should be fully charged prior to the first usage.
It is highly recommended that the first usage be conducted within two months from product delivery.
Shelf Life:
Store all components separately. Unplug the battery pack from the charging cable and detach the
mouthpiece from the battery pack.
The PBM Ortho device should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing it
in locations where it might be exposed to elevated temperatures.
It is recommended to store in the original packaging case when it is not intended to be used for a while.
Special care should be taken, particularly when traveling with the device. This will prevent probable
damage and avoid battery depletion.
Rough handling may cause damage to the device. Stop usage if damage is suspected.
Storage & Handling:
Detach the mouthpiece from the battery pack.
Wash it gently, using clean warm water or the aligner cleaner recommended by PBM Healing.
To dry, lightly rub the mouthpiece with a clean dry towel and let it air dry. Do not shake or pat down hard
on the mouthpiece to dry it.

In case of the below conditions and contraindications, the use of this device is NOT recommended at all.
Limitation for Use
Intense near-infrared light, emitted from LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), is beneficial, and no side eects
have been reported for using healing light in the near infrared spectrum.
Safety and Environmental Considerations
The device supports the healing function of the cells and reduces the pain that might be caused by dental
or orthodontic treatment in the jaw or tooth area.
Pain Relief Caused by Dental or Orthodontic Treatment
PBM Ortho shortens the whole orthodontic treatment process in half and reduces pain associated with
orthodontic treatment.
It is clinically and scientifically proven that intense near-infrared light provides a therapeutic benefit.
Infrared light energy emitted from the PBM Ortho device into the gingival area will be absorbed by
mitochondria cells in alveolar structure, thus creating an increase in cell metabolism, resulting in shortened
time for orthodontic treatment.
It might, nonetheless, create a warm sensation/tingling in the aected area, which is common and normal.

During usage, you should bite gently on the bite pad of the mouthpiece. Chewing or clenching on the
mouthpiece may harm the device, or lead to a choking hazard.
The mouthpiece must be detached from the battery when cleaning and should be kept in a dry
environment.
The mouthpiece is not dishwasher safe.
The mouthpiece should not be dried with a hairdryer
Exposing the mouthpiece to excessive heat and elevated temperatures may result in the softening of its
material, which would be considered permanent damage of the device.
Mouthpiece
During charging, it is not recommended to do a treatment session or have the mouthpiece attached to
the battery pack. When the charging period is completed, then you can use the device freely.
During charging, please position the battery on a stable flat surface and out of the way to avoid tripping
hazards.
The battery is not water resistant and should not be rinsed or submerged in water.
Do not incinerate the battery by exposing it to excessive heat, short circuit or any similar hazardous
action to the battery.
Mishandling the battery may result in a burn, fire, or possibly even an explosion.
Charging
Make sure that you are entirely familiar with the correct procedures for operating the device prior to the
usage.
Stop using the PBM Ortho device or its accessories if you have an allergic reaction to it. If this happens,
contact your doctor or orthodontist immediately.
Do not stare directly & closely at the light source on the mouthpiece; it might cause eye irritation
especially for children.
Do not use the device near high frequency (HF) equipment.
Although it can be used while lying down, it is recommended to use while sitting.
There is no need to be motionless during the use; you might watch TV, read, etc.
Do not use the device while performing complex tasks or operating machinery.

The User Manual and packaging are recyclable and should be disposed of with other recyclable wastes.
In order to preserve the environment, the device should not be disposed of with normal household
wastes. It must be delivered to the collection points designated for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment wastes.
Disposal to Environment
Keep the PBM Ortho device away from pets and children.
It is not a toy and should not be played with.
When it needs to be used by a child, the steps of usage & sequencing must be clearly demonstrated for
them.
Subsequently, each session of use should be supervised by a parent or an adult to ensure correct usage
of the device.
Additional Precautions for Children
Connect the equipment to a dierent outlet.
Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver.
If interference with a radio or television is observed it is recommended to:
Do not attempt to repair the device or battery. No servicing or modification of this device is permitted.
PBM Ortho has been tested and met the requirements to provide reasonable protection against Radio
Frequency Interference in a residential setting. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
happen in a particular situation.

The manufacturer will only warrant the original purchases from PBM Healing for flaws in workmanship &
material. There is a two (2) year warranty from the date of the original purchase.

バッテリーパックの充電方法
充電するには、充電ケーブルを電池パックのUSBポートに差し込み電源アダプターにつなげてくださ
い。
充電中は充電ケーブルの元近くの４つの白いライトが点滅します。
白いライトが濃くなった時充電は完了です。充電が完了するまでに６時間かかります。
フルチャージされたデバイスはおよそ８セッション使用できます。
このデバイスにはリチウム電池が使用されている為、長期間利用すると電池容量が徐々に減少します。
電源ケーブルを通じてマウスピースを電池パックに接続してください。
マウスピースを口の中の上顎に置き、顎の真ん中にくるようにしてください。（前歯を目安にする）
軽く咬んででマウスピースを適所で保ってください。
電源ケーブの真ん中にある”on-oスイッチ”を押し、青いライトが点滅すると治療が始まります。
４分後にビーという音が鳴り青いライトが消えます。上歯の治療は完 了で す。
マウスピースを裏 返し、再びデバイスをオンにし上記と同じように下顎も繰り返します。

しばらく使用すると顎/歯肉周辺が温かくリラックスした感じになるかもしれませんが光治療による自然な結果です。

使用を一時停止したい時はマウスピースを口から外してください。
使用を再開するにはマウスピースを口に戻してください。
３０秒以上一時停止した場合にはそのセッションは無効とし、もう一度やり直してください。
セッションを再開するには一度電源を切り再び電源を入れてください。マウスピースを口の
中に再度入れ“on-oスイッチ”を再び押し、治療していた箇所を４分繰り返してください。
協力度の推奨事項
毎日同じ時間に治療することをお勧めします。習慣になるまで３週間ほどかかりますので定期
的に使用してください。
習慣にする為の提案:
PBM歯列矯正加速装置は ベッドサイドに置くなどして、起きた時や寝る前に使用できるよう
にしてください。
又はコンピューターやテレビの近くに置いて、それらを使用する時にPBM歯列矯正加速装置
を使 用できるようにしてください。
- PBM歯列矯正加速装置はアライナーの有無に関わらず使用できます。
使用の一時停止

すべての部品は交換又は修理できません。（リチウム電池を含む）
通常、部品の交換は必要ありません。
使用を重ねるとマウスピースに噛痕などの装着マークが現れてきますが、自然なことであり
デバイスの交換の必要はありません。
万が一、機器が割れたりマウスピースの内部表面が露出した場合には直ちに使用を中止して
医師又はPBM Healingへ連絡してください。
部品交換：
PBM歯列矯正加速装置は毎日のケアと製造元の指示の範囲で使用すれば２年間正常に使
用できます。
PBM歯列矯正加速装置はリチウム電池が含まれている為、再充電しないと時間の経過ととも
に消耗します。初めて使用する前はフル充電してください。
納入日から２か月以内に最初の使用をお勧めします。
使用可能期間:
すべての部品は別々に保管してください。バッテリーパックは充電ケーブルから外し、マウスピ
ースはバッテリーパックから外してください。
PBM歯列矯正加速装置 は、直射日光を避け涼しく乾燥した場所に保管してください。高温の場
所に保管しないでください。
しばらく使用しない時はパッケージにいれて保管することをお勧めします。
特に、デバイスを持って旅行をする時は大切に扱ってください。損傷や電池の消耗を防ぎます。
雑な扱いはデバイスの破損につながります。破損が疑われる場合には使用しないでください。

使用制限
LED（発光ダイオード）から放出される強い近赤外線は有益であり、近赤外分光法における治療
の光の副作用は報告されていません。

る可能性のある痛みを軽減します。
歯科治療又は歯科矯正による痛みの緩和
PBM歯列矯正加速装置 は、歯科矯正治療の期間を半分に短縮し、歯科矯正治療に伴う痛みを軽
減します。
強い近赤外光が良い治療効果をもたらすと臨床的および科学的に証明されています。デバイス

使用中は、マウスピースを軽く噛んでください。マウスピースを咀嚼するまたは食いしばると、
ディバイスが損傷したり、窒息したりする可能性があります。
クリーニング 時、マウスピースをバッテリーから取り外し乾燥した場所に保 管して
ください。
食器洗浄機でマウスピースを洗わないでください。
マウスピースをヘアドライヤーで乾燥させないでください
マウスピースを過熱や高温の環境にさらすと素材が軟化するおそれがあり、デバイスの永久
的な損傷と見なされます。
マウスピース
充電中は、トリートメントを施したりマウスピースを電池パックに接続しないでください。電期
間が終了したら自由に使用できます。
充電中は、バッテリーを安定した平らな場所に置き、つまずく危険を避けるために障害物から
離してください。
バッテリーは防水ではありません。水で洗い流したり、水に浸したりしないでくださ い。
バッテリーを過熱、短絡または同様の危険にさらす環境に置かないでください。
バッテリーの不適切な使用は燃焼、火災、さらには爆発を引き起こす可能性があります。

横になっている状態でも使用できますが、座った状態での使用をお勧めします。
