Keep the work area clean. Messy areas invite injury.
Review the working conditions. Do not use the machine in
damp, wet or poorly lit places. Do not expose to rain.
Keep children away. All children must be kept away from the
work area. Never let children handle tools or extension cords.
NEVER LEAVE UNUSED ACCESSORIES IN THE OPEN.
Whennot in use, the tool should be stored in a dry place to
inhibit rust. If possible, store in an area out of the reach of
children.
DO NOT OVERLOAD THE MACHINE. It will do the work better
and more safely at the rate for which it was intended.
USE THE RIGHT TOOLS. Never force a small tool or accessory
to do the work of a larger industrial tool. Do not use a tool for
a purpose for which it was not intended.
DRESS ACCORDINGLY. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. They could get caught in moving parts. Protective
gloves and non-slip shoes are recommended when working.
Wearprotective hair covering to keep long hair out of the way
to ensure it does not get caught up in the machine.
WEAR EYE SHIELDS. Wear ISO-approved safety goggles.
SAFE WORK. Use clamps or a screw to hold the workpiece
wherever possible. This is safer than using your hands and
itfrees both hands to operate the machine.
DO NOT STRETCH OVER THE MACHINE. Maintain the right
footing and balance at all times.
REMOVE ADJUSTMENT KEYS AND GUARDS. Make it a habit
to check that keys including adjustment keys are removed
from the tool or machine work surface before use.
STAY ALERT. Keep your eyes on the tool and use common
sense. Do not use tools if you are tired.
INSPECT DAMAGED PARTS. Before using the tool, any part
that appears damaged should be carefully inspected to
determine that it is working properly and can perform its
intended function. Check the alignment of moving parts,
breakage toparts, installation and other conditions that
may affect itsoperation. Any part that is damaged must
be properly repaired by an authorised service centre unless
otherwise specied in the operating instructions.
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS AND ACCESSORIES. Only use
identical spare parts when servicing. Only use accessories
intended for use with this tool. Approved accessories are
available from the franchisor.
DO NOT USE THE MACHINE IF YOU ARE UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. Read prescription
warning labels to determine whether your judgement or
reexes are impaired while taking medications. If there is any
doubt, do not use the machine.
NEVER STAND ON THE MACHINE. Serious injury can occur
ifthe tool should tip over.
KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE AND IN WORKING ORDER. Never
use the machine unless all guards are working properly.
NEVER OPERATE A MACHINE IF ITS HOUSING OR ANY
BOLTS ARE MISSING. If the housing or bolts have been
removed, replace them before use. Maintenance of all
parts is crucial to ensure good condition.
DO NOT LIFT WORKPIECES THAT ARE TOO HEAVY.
Askforhelp when lifting tools and other materials are
tooheavy for you to handle yourself. When appropriate
andwhenever possible, use a forklift.
WIPE UP ANY SPILLS, ETC., TO AVOID SLIPPING ACCIDENTS.
Keep the oor clean and free of all liquids and other spills that
could cause slipping. Check the material data sheet for proper
cleaning procedures.
Never stand or only have an observer position in line with
thesanding disc. The work area should have sufcient
lighting and the surrounding work space should be clean.
The sanding disc is intended for indoor use only.
Always wear eye shields and, during prolonged use, wear
earprotection.
Always avoid awkward hand positions, where a sudden slip
could cause your hand to move into the sanding disc.
Use the correct size and type of sanding disc for each
operation.
Always turn off the machine before removing scrap parts
from the table. Never turn on the sander before clearing the
table or work surfaces of all objects (tools, scrap wood, etc.)
except the workpiece and associated feed or support devices
for the planned operation.
Be sure the sanding disc is moving in the right direction
before you start working.
Hold the workpiece rmly so that it does not tear out of your
hands as you move it towards the sanding disc.
Feed the material gradually. Do not force the machine to sand
material faster than it is designed to sand.
Do not attempt to work with pieces that are too small to hold
safely by hand.
When sanding a large workpiece, make sure it is properly
supported at table height.
Never leave the machine’s work area with the power on or
before the machine has come to a complete stop.
If any part of the sanding disc breaks or is damaged, or any
electrical component is not working properly, or if any part
ismissing, turn off the power switch immediately, disconnect
the cord from the power supply, and replace the damaged or
missing part before resuming work
ALWAYS SUPPORT THE WORKPIECE WITH “BACKSTOP”
ORTHE WORKBENCH.
ALWAYS HAVE 1/16'' (0.15 cm) MAXIMUM CLEARANCE
BETWEEN TABLE AND SANDING DISC.
Only use the motor that comes with your sanding disc.
FIRE WARNING: Remove the dust collector and clear away
any traces of wood dust that may have accumulated in and
around the machine to prevent a re hazard.
Use the sanding disc in a well-ventilated area.
