Manual Regeneration
Theremaybetimesthat
you
would
like
tostarta manual
regeneration.This
overrideleaturers
used
when
you
wouldliketo refresh
thesystem'smediabedbelore
theautomaticcontrol
calls
lora
regeneration.There
aretwo
typesof manualregeneration:
1. lmmediateRegeneration:
Press
and
hold
the
REGEN
buttonfor
5secondstostart.
2. DelayedRegeneration:PresstheREGENbuttononce.Thiswill
causea regeneration
tooccrr
atthenext
setregenerationtime.
Whileinregeneration,
thecontrol
will
displaythetotal
regeneration
timeremaining
inminutes.ltls
recommended
that
youminimize
theamountofwater
used
- anywater
used
isnottreated
dunrp
regeneration.
Setting the Clock
The
system
controllerhasan8to24-hourbuiltin backupsystemtomaintain
thetime
olday lf
the
power
isoutlongerthan8 hours,
thetimeislost
andneeds
tobereset.
To reset:
1. Pressthe
SET
button.Thedisplaywillllash12:00.
2. UsetheUPorDOWNbuttonstoadvancetothecorrecttime.Note:Thereisa PMindbator.
butnoAMindicator.
3. Press
theSETbuttontoacceptthetimeofdayselected.
4. ThecontrolwilladvancetotheDAYOFWEEK
setting.
Setting the DAY OF WEEK
The
controllercanbeset
forthespecific
day
ofthe
week.ltisimportant
tosetthisforproper
systemoperation.Acursorwillbedisplayedunder
"SU"
(Sunday).
1. Press
theSETbuttontomake
thecursor
flash.
2. UsetheUPor DOWNbuttonstoadvancetheflashing
cursorunder
thecorrectday
olthe
week.
3. PresstheSETbuttonagaintoacceptthechanges.
Thesystemshouldbeinoperation.Thesettings
that
were
programmed
will
beused.
BypassMode
- lfSystem
Needs
Servicing
Mostwatertreatment
systems
will
be
plumbed
with
asystembypass.Awaterbypass
isused
when
thesystem
isbeing
maintained,
orif
thesystemdevelopsa leak.
Toput
thesysteminbypass:
ValveBypass
- Rotatethetwobypass
dialscounterclockwise
tothe"bypass"
position.
lfthey
aredifficulttoturn,a pliers
orwrenchmay
beused.The
systemwill
be
bypassed.Waterwillnot
enterthe
valve
but,thepressure
in
thetankwillremain.
Call
your
installingdealerforimmediate
service.CAUTION:Rotate
tobypass
arrow
position
only.
