Section 1.
SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING - Please read the following before installing your new automatic pool cleaner!
• Hazardous suction can cause injury and drowning. Do not play with cleaner or hose or apply to body. Do not let
children use or play with pool cleaner. Turn off pump before attempting to clean unit.
• Do not allow swimmers in pool while pool cleaner is operating.
• Suction entrapment, injury and drowning hazard. If your pool has a dedicated suction port (vacuum port) for va-
cuuming or for an automatic pool cleaner, it must be covered when not in use. If your dedicated suction port does
not have a spring loaded cover (vacuum lock tting) purchase one from your local pool store and install it before
connecting pool cleaner to dedicated suction port.
• If your pool is exposed to large quantities of leaves, we suggest purchasing and installing an in-line leaf trap. A leaf
trap will provide more debris-loading capacity and also provides a water by-pass when the basket is full. It is very
important that the pump will get sufcient water ow!
BEFORE INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT FOR VINYL LINER POOL OWNERS:
Before installing the pool cleaner, examine the interior of your pool carefully. If your vinyl liner is brittle or has stones,
wrinkles or metal corrosion in contact with the bottom side of the liner, or has damage to the base or supporting walls,
do not install the pool cleaner before having a qualied professional perform the necessary repairs.

11 - Soft Leader Hose - 1m section (1)
12 - Friction Pad Insert (For Tiled Pools Only)
*IMPORTANT: Friction Pad Insert is only for use in fully tiled pools (tiled walls and oor) and only if necessary.
STEP 2: Install the vacuum seal
• Pull the vacuum seal over the cleaner’s foot pad so that it will t properly into foot pad’s groove as shown in the
illustration.
• Insure that curved tips face upwards.
• Insure with your hand that vacuum seal rotates freely around the footpad.
STEP 3: Prepare your pool
• Vacuum clean your pool manually and assure that all large debris is removed.
• Chemically balance and stabilize the pool water.
• Clean your lter system.
• Empty the skimmer basket and pump basket.
• Empty the pump strainer basket.
•
STEP 4: Close the main drain
• Close the main drain with the pump valve to provide adequate suction for the cleaner
STEP 5: Adjust the return line
IMPORTANT: The cleaner must move randomly throughout the pool. Water circulating at the surface will inuence the
hose thus limiting the cleaner’s coverage.
• Adjust eyeball inlets such that water ow points downwards
• To adjust the eyeball diverters, loosen the lock ring and redirect the eyeball diverters slightly downwards and also try
different directions to see what works best in your pool allow time for the body of water to settle into new pattern. (2)
STEP 6: Assemble the hose (3)
Connect together as many hose sections as needed to reach from the vacuum source to the furthest point of the pool,
plus one or two sections if your vacuum source is located in the center of your pool.
Leader hose must be attached directly to the pool cleaner.
STEP 7: Connection to a dedicated suction port
IMPORTANT: Assure that your dedicated suction port is tted with a safety vacuum lock tting. If not, obtain one from
your local pool store and have it installed rst. (4)
• If your pool does not have a dedicated suction port; go to Step 8.
• Insert the adjustable regulator valve (with cap) into the skimmer. Use the cone adapter if necessary. (5)
• Fill the hose with water and connect the end of submerged hose into the safety vacuum lock tting of your dedicated
suction port. (6)
STEP 8: Connection to a skimmer
• If your pool does not have a dedicated suction port
• Fill the hose with water and connect the end of submerged hose into the skimmer together with the adjustable
regulator valve. (7)
• The regulator cap is not used in this installation
• Use the cone adaptor if necessary
STEP 9: Connection to a skimmer - pool with two skimmer connections
• If your pool has two skimmers select one skimmer for the cleaner and close off the other skimmer with the pump
valve.
• Connect the end of submerged hose into selected skimmer as per step 8.
STEP 10: Adjust the ow
• Insert the ow gauge at the end of the last section of submerged hose. (8)
• With the pump running turn the adjustment knob of the regulator valve “Faster” or “Slower” until the disc indicator
in the ow gauge settles between “Maximum” and “Minimum” ow, indicated on the ow gauge. (9)
• Note: If you have very strong pump and the ow is still over the “Maximum” you may need to open the main drain
only slightly.
• Turn the pump off. Remove the ow gauge and connect the cleaner to the end of the submerged leader hose. Then
turn the pump on.
• Note: Optimizing the water ow does not mean maximizing the ow through the cleaner. In fact, to assure a ran-
dom pattern of travel that will enable the cleaner to reach all areas of your pool, it is better to use less suction, not
more.

STEP 11: Balance the hose
Hose weight(s) is/are not required for most of the pools. To improve the cleaner’s pool coverage place the hose weight
in the center of the 4th hose section from the cleaner. (11)
Fine tuning: The water density in each pool may vary due to mineral and salt content. To ne tune the balance of your
hose, try placing a second hose weight closer to the pool cleaner by one or two hose sections.
STEP 12: Deector wheel
Pools with sharp transitions between pool walls may require the deector wheel to be installed. Place the deector wheel
on top of the swivel and connect the hose. (10)
Section3.
MAINTENANCE
Your cleaner requires very little maintenance. Check the following from time to time.
• It is quick and easy to open up the oscillator’s chamber. Simply turn off the pump, push the sliding lock up into open
position and remove the lid. With your nger, lift and inspect the oscillator and the chamber to insure that it is no
obstructed by debris. (12, 13)
• To remove damaged or worn oscillator, no tools are required. Simply grab the oscillator, pull and waggle outward
until it unclips from the steel pin. To install the new oscillator push it in rmly (TOP side up as marked) onto the
steel pin until it snaps in place. If the oscillator is clipped in the wrong way (TOP side down) you will not be able to
close the lid. (12, 13)
• Check the vacuum seal for wear. If it becomes thin and too oppy, it will impair the correct random movement of
the cleaner and should be replaced.
• Inspect the regulator valve and ush away any debris build up. (9)
• Clean your lter system.
• Empty the skimmer basket.
• Empty the pump strainer basket.
• Use your ow gauge to insure correct water ow for your cleaner. (8)
• For best results and to maintain proper operation, use only original hoses.
• Note: Remove the cleaner from the pool before the chemical shock treatment!!
• When not in the pool, keep the cleaner’s vacuum seal at to avoid warping.
• Your cleaner can stay in the pool at all times, however, when people are using the pool, disconnect the cleaner
and pull it to one side of the pool.
• When storing or winterizing the cleaner, do not coil the hoses. Lay the hoses at in an area protected from direct
sunlight. It is also important to remove the Vacuum Seal from the Cleaner and store it at
Section 4.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: Cleaner is sluggish or has stopped operating.
• Check cleaner for blockage inside the oscillator chamber. Refer to maintenance.
• Clean your lter system, empty pump basket and empty skimmer basket. Refer to Step 3.
• Inspect the regulator valve and ush away any debris build-up. (9)
• Check the hose for blockage.
• Check the hose for leaks by lifting each section above water.
• Using your ow gauge, verify proper water ow to your cleaner. Refer to Step 10. (8)
Problem: Cleaner gets stuck on the steps.
• Adjust the eyeball diverter of the return ow towards the problem area to guide the cleaner away from the steps.
• Verify proper hose length (Step 6) and correct position of the hose weights (Step 11).
• Remove or add one hose section.
• Using your ow gauge, verify proper water ow to your cleaner. (8)
• Using your ow gauge, increase or decrease the ow to your cleaner within the Maximum/Minimum range.
• Install the deector wheel. Refer to Step 12.
Problem: Cleaner travels in repetitive pattern.
• Adjust eyeball diverters as described in Step 5. (2)
• Verify proper hose length (Step 6) and correct position of the hose weights (Step 11).
• Remove or add one hose section.
