Step 3
Now you will use the
last leg support. Here you
need to align the holes on
the cross bar of the leg
sets with the holes on the
ends of the final leg sup-
port. It is easiest if you
screw a three inch lag
screw through one of the holes until only about a quarter of
an inch is through the other side. This will give you a point
for aligning the holes with one another. Once you have
one started, you should put the one next to it in part way
as well. Then go to the other side and repeat. Once you
have got all the holes lined up and started, go back and
finish tightening up all four screws.
Step 4
Now that the lower frame is fully assembled, you
are ready to attach the assembled seat. Start by placing the seat in position on top of the assem-
bled lower frame. The front of the seat is the straight edge and the front of the lower frame is the
side with the straight legs. Once in position, align the holes
from the legs with the holes in the seat supports and place a
three and a half inch bolt through from outside to inside. It is
easiest if you start with a front leg
on one side and then move to the
front leg on the other side and
then do the back legs in the same
manner. Once you have a bolt in
all eight holes, place a flat washer, lock washer, and nut, in that order,
on each bolt. Only hand tighten the nuts for now.
Step 5
Now that the seat is attached to the legs and lower frame, it is time for the chair back. Start
by holding the chair back in position against the back of the seat and between the back legs of the
chair. Start with one end first. Using the number two square head driver bit provided, drive a two
inch screw through the lower support of the chair back and into the seat making sure to press the
back tightly against the seat. Once you have one side
screwed down, move to
the other end. Save the
middle hole for the end.
Screw the other end
down also making sure
to press the back tightly
against the seat. Now
you can put the middle
screw in.
