The Winch
Do not exceed the capacity of name plate.
Before taking into operation, a competent person must check:
Öthe lifting device
Öthe load bearing parts of the structure
Öthe carrying medium
Ömounting
Daily examinations:
Öbrake functions
Öcondition of the rope and
loading device
Öload bearing parts of the structure.
Öthe load carrying medium
Load attachment device:
Öcheck it has sufficient carrying capacity
Öload hooks must have safety catches
Öload hooks must be secured to the rope with a solid eye and high
pressure rope clamp and tested acc. to the regulations
Öfix the load correctly
Ödo not use the winch rope as a hitching device
The winch should be given a thorough examination by a competent person at least once a year.
The entire installation has to be examined by a competent person before taking into operation, when
necessary, after considerable changes and every 4 years.
Always ensure the maintenance intervals are adhered to.
Only use original accessories and spare parts; otherwise safe function is not guaranteed.

Functional Description
The wire rope winch for stages and studios is a drum type winch. A single reduction pair of straight cut internal
spur gear drives the winch.
A double safety spring locking device automatically holds the load.
For better rope coiling, the winch is equipped with a spring loaded wire rope pressure drum.
The gear is designed for double nominal load according to BGV C1!
Mounting Instructions
Mounting:
ATTENTION:
Öthe mounting structure must be designed to sustain the max. forces imposed by the winch, (pay attentions to
regulations for stages and studios)
Öpay careful attention that the mounting surface is flat and true
Öonly fix the winch by means of good quality screws,
Ötighten the screws evenly
Ösecure the screws
Öensure that the crank is free running (crank clearance)
