EN Your appliance has been designed to be
used with tap water. In case you live in an
area with hard water, fast scale build-up
may occur.Therefore, it is recommended
to check the water hardness rst with
the test strip provided.
Immerse all the squares on the test
strip in tap water for 1 second. Shake
off excess water for 60 seconds. Check
how many squares have changed color
and refer to the following table for water
recommendation. Do not consider color
changes on a minor part of a square or
colors that change after 3 minutes.
Do not add perfume, vinegar, mineral water, starch,
descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled
water or other chemicals as they may cause water
spitting, brown staining or damage to your appliance.

EN The light goes on when the steamer
is plugged in. It takes approximately
40 seconds for the steamer to heat up
sufciently and be ready for use. During
rst use, press the steam trigger for
20 seconds.Water is pumped to the
steamer head to be converted into steam.

for continuous steam, tap the steam
trigger twice .To deactivate the steam
lock, tap the steam trigger once.
Note: Always deactivate the steam lock
when the steamer is placed on the base
or not in use.

EN GC430 only:To maintain optimal steam
performance, it is important to remove
scales and impurities inside the appliance
regularly.Therefore, it is recommended
to perform the Auto-clean function once
every two weeks.
Fill the water tank fully with water.
Press and hold the Auto-clean button for
1 second to activate the process. Never
immerse the steamer head in water.
