1. Read these instructions before operating this
apparatus.

5. Do not use this apparatus near water or in locations

Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Phonic PCT-1000
dual channel diversity wireless microphone system. The
culmination of years of working in the wireless domain, the
PCT-1000 combines the tried and true one-touch autoscan
technology that Phonic is famous for with a brand new
stand-alone construct. Connecting the transmitter and
receiver units is a breeze with the PCT-1000, with a single
scan button automatically searched and locking to the
best frequency for use. Ideal for live stage performances,
speeches, karaoke and more, the PCT-1000 wireless
microphone system ensures you never have to worry about
microphone cables again.

Operation
One-Touch Auto Scan
1. Power-on the PCT-1000 wireless receiver by icking
the power switch.
2. Power-on your handheld microphone or bodypack
transmitter unit.
3. Hold the transmitter close against the PCT-1000 receiver
and push the Scan button for 4 to 5 seconds until
thenumericchannelLEDdigitsstarttoautomatically
change,indicatingthattheautoscanisndingthebest
wireless channel.
4. TheautoscanprocessisnishedwhentheLEDdisplay
stopsattheoptimalchannel.Atthispoint,theRFLEDs
willactivate.IftheRFLEDsonthePCT-1000receiver
do not light on, the connection has not been established
successfully. To reinforce the connection, click the
Lockbuttonwhileholdingthetransmittersclosetothe
receiver.
5. Uponasuccessfulconnection,theAFLEDsonthePCT-
1000 will activate as you speak into the microphone.
Manual Scan
1. Power-on PCT-1000 receiver and the microphone
transmitter(handheldorbodypack).
2. Push the Scan button on the PCT-1000 receiver for
2 seconds. The numeric LEDs will begin to blink.To
manually select frequency, continue to click the Scan
button until you reach the desired channel.
3. Hold the microphone or bodypack against the receiver
andpushtheLockbuttontoconrmthechanneland
establish the link between the microphone transmitter
andreceiver.Atthispoint,theRFLEDswillactivateand
theAFLEDswillrespondtothemicrophonesignal.If
the connection is not established, reattempt the manual
or autoscan process.

Front Panel
1. Channel Indicator
This indicator shows the channel number currently used
by the receiver channel.
2. Scan Button
Push and hold the scan button to search for the best
frequency for transmission. For more detailed information
on operation, please check the operation section of this
manual.
3. Lock Button
When manually setting the wireless channel, use the lock
buttontoconrmthechannel.Formoredetailedinformation
on operation, please check the operation section of this
manual.
4. Sensitivity Control
Usethisrotarycontroltoadjusttheincomingsignallevel
from the wireless microphones.
5. RF Meter
This meter will light up indicating a connection has been
established between the PCT-1000 and the transmitter unit
(eitherthehandheldmicrophoneorbodypacktransmitter).
There is an RF meter for each of the wireless channels.
6. AF Meter
The AF meter will light up when a connection is established
between the transmitter and receiver and a signal is being
received from the transmitter. There is an AF meter for each
of the wireless channels.
7. A-B Balance Control
ThisrotarycontroladjuststhebalancebetweentheAand
Bchannels,essentiallylettingyouadjusttheirrespective
levels simultaneously. This is particularly helpful when
using“MixedMode”wherebothchannelswillbecombined
and sent through both channels.
8. Power Switch
Use this power switch to turn the receiver unit on and off.

9. DC Power Input
Connect the included DC power adapter to this input.
Connect the power plug end into an appropriate AC power
source.
10. BNC Antenna Connector
The PCT-1000 comes complete with 2 antennas. Connect
themtotheseBNCconnectors.Screwintoplacetoxthem
securely to the receiver unit.
11. Mode Switch
Thisswitchhastwooptions:mixedandseparated.When
settomixed,microphonesAandBwillbecombinedand
sent out both outputs A and B. When the switch is set to
separated, the microphone signals will be sent to their
corresponding outputs.
12. Operating Level Switch
This switch lets the user determine the output level of
theAandBoutputs.Whensetto-6,theunitisidealfor
consumer-level application. The 0 and +10 settings are
ideal for professional devices.
13. Output Connectors
EachofthePCT-1000outputchannelsfeaturesbalanced
XLR and ¼” TRS connectors.These are ideal for
connectiontomixingconsolesorotherinputdevices.
