1. Read these instructions before operating this
apparatus.

Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Phonic PR-800
and PR-900 wireless microphone systems. The culmination
of years of working in the wireless domain, the PR
series combines the tried and true wireless technology
that Phonic is famous for with a brand new stand-alone
construct. Connecting the transmitter and receiver units is
a breeze with the PR-800 and PR-900, where microphone
transmitters and receivers set to identical frequencies
as default. Ideal for live stage performances, speeches,
karaoke and more, the PR series wireless microphone
system ensures you never have to worry about microphone
cables again.

Operation
1. Connect your PR wireless receiver’s output connectors
toyourmixerorotherinputdevice.
2. Turn on the PR-800 or PR-900 receiver unit followed by
either the handheld transmitter or bodypack.
3. Wait until the RF meter lights up. This means a
connection has been established between your
transmitter and the receiver.
4. Uponconnection,theAFwillactivateasyouspeakinto
the microphone.
5. Adjustthesensitivitycontrolsasneeded.

Front Panel
1. Sensitivity Control
Usethisrotarycontroltoadjusttheincomingsignallevel
from the wireless microphones.
2. RF Meter
This meter will light up indicating a connection has
been established between the PR wireless system and
the transmitter unit (either the handheld microphone or
bodypack transmitter). There is an RF meter for each
of the wireless channels. The PR-800 features a single
indicator only.
3. AF Meter
TheAFmeterwilllightupwhenaconnectionisestablished
between the transmitter and receiver and a signal is being
receivedfromthetransmitter.There isanAFmeterfor
each of the wireless channels. The PR-800 features a
single indicator only.
4. A-B Balance Control (PR-900 only)
ThisrotarycontroladjuststhebalancebetweentheAand
Bchannels,essentiallylettingyouadjusttheirrespective
levels simultaneously. This is particularly helpful when
using“MixedMode”wherebothchannelswillbecombined
and sent through both channels.
5. Power Switch
Use this power switch to turn the receiver unit on and off.

Connect the included DC power adapter to this input.

7. BNC Antenna Connector
The PR wireless system comes complete with either 1 or 2
antennas.ConnectthemtotheseBNCconnectors.Screw
intoplacetoxthemsecurelytothereceiverunit.
8. Mode Switch (PR-900 only)
Thisswitchhastwooptions:mixedandseparated.When
settomixed,microphonesAandBwillbecombinedand
sentoutbothoutputsAandB.Whentheswitchissetto
separated, the microphone signals will be sent to their
corresponding outputs.
9. Operating Level Switch
This switch lets the user determine the output level of
theAandBoutputs.Whensetto-6,theunitisidealfor
consumer-level application. The 0 and +10 settings are
ideal for professional devices.
10. Output Connectors
Each of the PR wireless system output channels features
balanced ¼” TRS connectors.These are ideal for
connectiontomixingconsolesorotherinputdevices.

Troubleshooting
• Keepaclearline-of-sightbetweenthetransmitterand
receiverantenna.Metalobjectsobstructingthesignal
in particular will reduce the transmission range.
• Trytokeepthedistancebetweenthetransmitterand
receiver as short as possible for optimal performance.
• Keepthe receiver’santennasfullyextendedandas
highaspossibleabovetheoororstage.
• Donotletthereceiverantennastouchoneanother.
• Besuretocarefullytestyourenvironmentbeforeyour
performance. If you find any problem areas/dead
spots, you may want to consider moving the receiver
slightly.Any problemareasthatstillremain,mark
them so and be sure to avoid them.
• Asinglereceiverchannelcannotreceivesignalsfrom
two transmitters at the same time.
• Turnthetransmitteroffwhennotinuse.
• Removebatteriesfrom thetransmitterwhennot in
use for long periods of time.

Funcionamiento
