SAVETHESEINSTRUCTIONS

Yourcleanercontainsathermalprotectivedevicetoshutoffthemotortoavoidoverheating.
Ifthishappens,switchthecleaneroffandplugfromthemainspower.Inspectthe
exhaust,inlet,andfiltersforanyblockage.Emptythedirtcontainerandcleanthefilters.
Afterapproximately30minutesthemotorwillhavecooledandthevacuumwillbereadyto
use.
NOTE:thecleanermustremainunpluggedduringthe30minutescoolingperiod.

ASSEMBLY

needisasmallPhillipsheadscrewdriver.
1. Fitthecentrepieceonto
thebase,removedust
container first then slide onto
theprovisionmakingsure
thecentrepanelis
freestanding.
2. Fixandtightenthefirstscrewintheprovisiononthe
centrepanel.Fig1– A.
3. Fixandtightenthesecondscrewintheprovision
onthecentrepanel.Fig1–B.

4. Removethescrewfromthecanisterand
hoseassembly.
5. Slidethehandleontothecanister
andhoseassembly.
Replacethescrewandtightento
fixthehandletothecleaner.
6. Wrapthehosearoundthelargehook
onthebackofthetophandlepiece.
7. Clipthehoseandthebeginningofthehoseinthelefthookonthe
backofthecentrepanel.
8. Cliptheplastictubeontherighthookonthebackofthecentrepanel.

9. Thepowercordcanbewounduponthe
2hooksonthebackofthecentrepanel.
Theupperhookcanberotatedandthelowerhookisfixed.
Toreleasethecord,turntheupperhooktopointdown
10.Aligntherimonthebaseofthedustcontainer
withthebottomofthedustcontainerhousing
11.Holdthedustcontainerhandleandpushuntilitclips
andlocksintothehousing

OPERATION
ATTENTION: Special care is required when vacuuming certain types of carpet or floor covering.
Alwayscheckthecarpetorfloorcoveringmanufacturer’srecommendedcleaninginstructionsbefore
vacuuming.
1. EnsurethevacuumisswitchedOFFbeforeselectingapileheightsetting.
2. Selectapileheightsettingbytilting
thecleanerbackuntilfrontwheels
areliftedslightlyoffthefloor.
3. Turntheadjustmentdialtothecorrect
setting.Thiswillmakesomejobs
easierforcarpetedsurfaces.
A –LongPile:shagcarpet,longpile

4. It is recommended that you adjust the
height to “Long Pile’ when using
attachments, so the bristles are not
touchingthefloorsurface.
5. Plugtheunitintoapowersocket.
6. Turn the unit on by depressing the
ON/OFF switch pedal located on the
leftsideofthemotorbase.
8. Tobegincleaning,thehandleneedstobereleasedforeasy
manoeuvring.Toreleasethehandlepressthehandlerelease
pedal.
9. The handle can move tilt to almost 90° to easily clean under
furniture. Press the handle release pedal again to adjust the
handletoitslowestangle.

10.To utilise the hose and accessories, the vacuum must be locked into the upright
positionandtheheightadjustmentontheLongPilesetting.
11.Remove the hose from the housing and add the extension tube, crevice tool, small
brushorminiturbobrush.Toremovetwistandgentlypullapart.
12.To changebackto cleaningwith basemotor,makesure the hosehas
been refitted tightly into the housing. This will ensure the air flow
suctionisatitsstrongest.Thehosehousingisconvenientlymadeofa
transparentplasticallowingyoutoeasilyidentifyblockagestoclear.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:Ensuretheunithas beenswitchedoffandunpluggedfrompowersocket,beforeperformingany
maintenance.
1. Thedustcontainermustbecleanedasoftenaspossible.Donotallowittogettoofull
or pass the “FULL” marking. Hold the dust container handle and press the release
buttontounlockthedustcontainer.Pullgentlyoutofthehousing.
2. To open, hold and twist the top part of the canister
anticlockwise.Emptythedustcontainerintoawastebin.
HEPAFilters
Thesefiltersaredesignedtokeepthesmallestdustparticlesinthedustcontainerandalso
keeptheaircleaner.Duetotheirdesign,theycanbecomecloggedandblocktheairflow
throughthemotor.Toavoidstressonthevacuummotor,theHEPAfiltermustbecleaned
frequently.
3. ToremovetheHEPAfilter,holdfrombaseandgentlypullto
release.
4. Brush the filter clean and refit into the dust container. The
filtercanalsobewashedinwarmwateranddriedthoroughly
beforeusing.
5. Cleanandrotatefiltersregularly.Filtersareavailablethrough
thedistributor.
6. Lockthedustcontainerandrefitintoitshousing.

ChangingBelt
The base motorhasmotorisedbristleswhichis controlled withabelt.Thesebristlemay
becomecloggedwithabuiltupofhair,carpetpileanddustandmyrequirecleaningandin
somecase,thebeltmaywithbreakorbecomeunaligned.
1. Laytheunitflatandfliptoexpose
thebottomofthebasemotor.
2. UsingaPhillipsheadscrewdriver,remove
the3screwsfromthebaseasindicated
andopenthebasecover.
3. Thebrushandbeltcanberemove.
Cleanthebristlesofanydebrisbeforerefitting.
4. Torefit,loopthebeltaroundthebrushrod
5. Loopthebeltonthemetalhookinthebasethenpullto
stretchthebeltandinsertthebrushrodintoitshousing.
6. Oncethebrushrodandbeltaresecuredinplace,
replacethebasecoverandrefitthe3screwstightly.
