1 Warnings
•Before using this appliance, read and follow all warnings and instructions in
this manual, even if you are familiar with this product.
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
•This cleaner has a constantly rotating brush bar which when left in contact
with Lino, parquet or other hard flooring could potentially cause some damage
to the floor surface.
It is strongly recommended that you raise the height of the brush bar when
using this cleaner on Lino or other hard flooring. We cannot be held
responsible for damage to these surfaces if the customer fails to take notice
of this recommendation.
2 Safety Direction
Please read this instruction manual carefully before first use. It is advisable to
keep this instruction manual for future reference.
DO NOT vacuum water, wet objects, liquids, ashes, hot coals, cigarette butts,
matches or any hot, smoking or burning objects, etc.
DO NOT pick up flammable or combustible materials (i.e. lighter fluid, petrol,
kerosene, etc.) or use in the presence of explosive liquids or vapour.
DO NOT pick up toxic material (i.e. chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, etc.)
DO NOT vacuum Toner (for laser printer, copy machines etc.) as there is a risk
of fire and explosion.
DO NOT vacuum plaster, cement etc. as the filter can become blocked.
DO NOT use the vacuum without all the filters fitted.
DO NOT store or use the appliance near high temperature areas.
DO NOT run over the power cord with the vacuum cleaner.

DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner if it is blocked. Turn off and clear all blockages
before continuing.
DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner with blocked filters. Clean filters before
continuing. (refer to User Maintenance section).
DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner if the appliance malfunctions, abnormal noise,
smell, smoke, is dropped or damaged in any manner or any breakage is found
during operation. Return appliance to the nearest authorised service agent or
similarly qualified person for a thorough examination, repair, electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
DO NOT misuse the cord. Never pull the appliance by the cord or pull to
disconnect it from the outlet. Instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
DO NOT use the vacuum cleaner to pick up large objects, hard or sharp objects
such as glass, nails, screws, coins, etc. that are likely to cause damage.
DO NOT use with damaged cord or plug.
DO NOT use vacuum cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
dropped into liquid (water etc.)
DO NOT close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
DO NOT handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
DO NOT put any objects into openings.
DO NOT use with any openings blocked and do not restrict airflow.
DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
DO NOT use without filters in place.
DO NOT attempt to modify this product in any way.
DO empty the Dust Canister regularly for optimal operation of the vacuum.
DO keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, feet and body parts away from openings or
moving parts.
DO turn off controls before you connect or disconnect the appliance to or from
the mains supply.

DO disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before
changing the dust filter, cleaning the filters or connecting / disconnecting the
accessories.
DO use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
DO use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended
attachments.
DO Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
DO Keep all openings free of dust, lint. hair, and anything that may reduce
airflow.
DO use extra care when vacuuming on stairs.
DO keep your work area well lit.
DO store your appliance indoors in a cool dry area.
DO ensure children and babies cannot play with plastic bags or any packaging
materials.
DO operate the appliance from a power source of the same voltage, frequency
and rating as indicated on the product identification plate
If this appliance is used by a third party, DO supply the instruction manual with it.
No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with
these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling of appliance.
This product has not been designed for any uses other than those specified in
this manual.

3 Transporting your Vacuum
To move your vacuum cleaner from room to room, unplug the unit and carry
using the carry handle or wheel on the rear wheels.
Never pull or carry the vacuum cleaner by its cord.
Never carry the vacuum cleaner by the flexible hose.

5 Assembly Method
Please Note: Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or
removing accessories.
Ensure all Filters are fitted, and fitted correctly before using.
5.1 Fitting Handle
Insert the end of the vacuum cleaner handle into the
hole in the top of the vacuum cleaner and push down
until it locks into place.
To remove the handle, depress the button which is
located on the back of the vacuum cleaner and then
pull up and straight out.
5.2 Tools
Attach tools: (a) Slide the dust brush into the
hole on the back of the cleaner with bristles
facing out.
(b) Slide the crevice tool onto round post on the
back of the cleaner and snap into place
(c) Clip Turbo Tool onto the front of the cleaner
Crevice tool
Crevice tool is for cleaning furniture and into corners.
Brush Tool
Brush attachment can be used for general applications
Upholstery Tool
The Upholstery tool is used for cleaning sofas and curtains, etc.
To access the Upholstery tool, slide the brush attachment off the front.
To refit, slide back on all the way until it clips in place.
Turbo Head
The Turbo Tool is ideal for lifting pet hair off carpets, stairs and upholstery.
It is most effective when using backward strokes over the area that is being
cleaned.

6 Power Cord
•Before using the appliance, remove the
power cord from the storage hooks. To do
this quickly, rotate the top Upper Cord
Wrap Hook 180º and slide the power cord
off.
•Ensure the power cord is fully unwound
without any tangles or knots.
7 Carpet height adjuster
•Turn the carpet height adjuster knob to
match the surface being cleaned.
NOTE: For easiest adjustment, place the
cleaner in full upright position.
Warning: This cleaner has a constantly rotating brush bar which when left in
contact with Lino, parquet or other hard flooring could potentially cause some
damage to the floor surface.
It is strongly recommended that you raise the height of the brush bar when
using this cleaner on Lino or other hard flooring. We cannot be held
responsible for damage to these surfaces if the customer fails to take notice
of this recommendation.
8 On / Off Switch
•Plug cord into electrical outlet.
•Turn cleaner on by pressing the on/off switch located on the side of unit.

9 Handle Tilt Release Pedal
•To release handle, push the handle tilt release pedal located on the lower
left side of the cleaner.
CAUTION: Brush bar continues to rotate while the hose is removed or in
use, and at all times while the cleaner is switched on.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from brush area
while cleaner is switched on.
Cleaner must be in the upright position to lift the rotating brush off the carpet
when cleaning above the floor.
10 Floor / Carpet Cleaning
•Move the handle and adjust it to the desired position for:
(a) storing upright.
(b) operating the cleaner.
(c) de-press the handle release pedal again to clean under furniture.
Caution: Brush bar could cause a rug fringe area to become tangled
within the cleaner. Use caution when vacuuming throw rugs with a fringe.

11 Above Floor Cleaning
•Cleaner must be in its upright position to raise brush bar. Turn carpet
height adjuster to “long” carpet pile setting.
•Press handle/extension wand release button and pull handle/extension
wand up to remove.
•Pull hose end out of lower hose and remove the hose from the hose
guide.
12 Extension Wand
•Lift wand cap to attach hose to handle/extension wand

•Choose any of the tools to use or use the wand by itself.
•Simply push the tool firmly onto the end of the extension wand.
•To remove tool, twist and pull apart gently.
13 Carry Handle
•Use the carry handle located on the top of the dust canister lid to move
the cleaner from room to room.
Do Not pull by the hose or power cord.

14 Dust Canister & Filter Removal & Replacement
WARNING: to reduce risk of injury from moving parts – switch off and
unplug before servicing.
•Press Dust Canister release button and remove Dust Canister from
cleaner.
•Hold Dust Canister over rubbish bin and press the Trap Door release
button to empty.
•Tap the Dust Canister on the inside of rubbish bin to remove excess dust.
15 Removing Foam Filter
•Pull the tab up which is located on the bottom of foam filter cover, then
pull out to remove.
•Separate the filter assembly by removing the foam filter from its plastic
housing. Tap the foam filter on the inside of a rubbish bin to remove
excess dust and dirt from filter
•Refer to “User Maintenance” Section on how to wash the filter.

•Refit (or replace) the dry and clean foam filter into the plastic assembly.
•Refit the assembly into the cleaner and snap into place.
•Refit foam filter cover and snap into place to secure.
16 Removing the Exhaust Air Filter
The exhaust air filter cleans the air a final time before it leaves the
vacuum cleaner.
You can access and clean the exhaust air filter as follows:
•Press the tab on the side of exhaust cover and lift up to remove.
•Press the tab on the front of the exhaust filter and lift filter out.
•Refer to “User Maintenance” Section on how to wash the filter.

•Refit (or replace) the dry and clean filter into its location and press down
until it clips in place.
•Refit the exhaust filter cover. Locate the left side of the cover first and
then lower the right side down and snap into place to secure.
•Refit the Dust Canister to the cleaner by aligning the slot on the bottom of
the Dust Canister with the tab on the cleaner then push in until it snaps
into place.
17 User Maintenance
WARNING: The plug must be removed from the power socket before any
maintenance, cleaning or replacement of parts.
NOTE: To maximise the performance of your vacuum cleaner, you should
clean your filters regularly.
If the filters are broken or worn, replace them before continuing to use the
vacuum.

17.1 Cleaning Filters
Important Note – the Filters must be cleaned regularly for best suction
performance and to prevent over-heating and damage to your vacuum
cleaner.
Cleaning is best done at the same time when emptying the dust Canister
after you have finish vacuuming for the day.
NOTE: Never use the vacuum cleaner with wet or damp filters or without
ALL filters fitted.
Using wet or damp filters will damage the filters, may cause serious
damage to the vacuum cleaner and will void your warranty.
17.1.1 Foam Filter
•Remove the filter assembly as described
previously.
•Remove the foam filter from the plastic
frame.
•Wash the foam filter in warm mild soapy water, rinse in clean fresh cold
water and let completely dry.
•Note: Only clean the white filter (part of the frame) if it is very dirty,
otherwise just tap the edge of the filter on a hard surface to dislodge any
dust and remove any large debris.
•If washing, wash the filter in warm mild soapy water, rinse in clean fresh
cold water and let completely dry.
DO NOT scrub the filters or place in a dishwasher.
DO NOT use a hair drier to dry the filters.
NOTE: Never use the vacuum cleaner with wet or damp filters. Using wet
or damp filters will damage the filters, may cause serious damage to the
vacuum cleaner and will void your warranty.
•Refit the Filters (or replace with new ones) in the reverse method used for
disassembly.

17.1.2 Exhaust Air Filter
•Remove the filter assembly as described
previously.
Note: Only wash the filter if it is very dirty,
otherwise just tap the edge of the filter on a
hard surface to dislodge any dust and remove
any large debris.
This filter only needs to be washed or replaced every 6 – 9 months or
sooner if required.
•If washing, wash the filter in warm mild soapy water, rinse in clean fresh
cold water and let completely dry.
DO NOT scrub the filter or place in a dishwasher.
DO NOT use a hair drier to dry the filter.
NOTE: Never use the vacuum cleaner with wet or damp filters. Using wet
or damp filters will damage the filters, may cause serious damage to the
vacuum cleaner and will void your warranty.
•Refit the Filter (or replace with new ones) in the reverse method used for
disassembly.
17.2 Cleaning the Vacuum Cleaner Body and Tools
•Do Not clean the vacuum cleaner, components or accessories using
petrol or any other flammable liquid or solvents, etc.
•Clean only the outside of the vacuum cleaner.
•Use only a moist cloth and mild detergent for cleaning the vacuum
cleaner, components and accessories.
•After cleaning, wipe off the moisture on vacuum cleaner, components and
accessories with a dry cloth.
•Do Not place accessories and components in a dishwasher.

17.3 Belt or Brush Bar: Removal and Replacement
Tools Required: Phillips Head Screwdriver
WARNING: to reduce the risk of injury from moving parts, switch off and
unplug cleaner before changing belt or brush.
17.3.1 To Remove Belt
•Lay cleaner flat and flip cleaner over to expose bottom face of floor head.
Floor Head should lay flat and face up.
•To remove the Belt and Brush Guard, use a Phillips head screwdriver to
remove only the three (3) screws as indicated by the Arrows in the
diagram.
•Flip cleaner right side up. Rotate Belt and Brush Guard forward and lift
off.
•Lift brush bar up and remove. Remove and discard the old belt.

17.3.2 To Replace Belt or Brush Bar
•Slide belt onto motor shaft.
•Place new belt over brush bar in the area as shown. (area of brush bar
without bristles)
•With new belt in place, pull and slide brush bar into floor head making
sure that the brush bar end caps are located in the correct orientation.
The Ends of the Brush Bar need to be positioned in a vertical way so as
to line up with their mating locations. Rotate brush bar manually to make
sure belt is properly aligned.
•Re-attach Belt and Brush Guard by aligning the four (4) tabs in the base
slots. Rotate Belt and Brush Guard back in place.

•Replace all three (3) screws to secure the Belt and Brush Guard.
17.4 Light Bulb: Removal and Replacement
Tools Required: Flathead Screwdriver
WARNING: to reduce the risk of injury from moving parts, switch off and
unplug cleaner before changing belt or brush.
•Using the end of a Flathead screwdriver, gently pop open the lens in two
places and then remove the lens.
•Pull bulb out of socket. Do NOT twist.
•To replace, gently push new bulb into socket.
•Replace Lens by aligning the tabs and then push in until it clips in place.

17.5 Debris Removal: Hose / Vacuum Cleaner
If you believe the hose has become blocked:
•Check to see if Dust Canister is full; empty if needed.
•Plug cleaner in and switch on to check if there is any suction at the end of
the hose. If there is no suction at the end of hose.
•If no suction:
1. Turn off and unplug from the power point.
2. Remove Dust Canister and check Dust Canister inlet located on the
cleaner and remove obstruction if present. If not blocked:
3. Unwrap hose from vacuum cleaner.
4. Twist and unlock hose ends to remove.
5. Clean out hose with a broom handle.
6. If the Hose is not blocked, check the access door on the back of the
cleaner (near hose end). Remove the seven (7) screws and check for
obstructions. Remove obstructions if present. If not blocked go to
step 7.
7. Remove Belt and Brush Guard by removing the three (3) screws as
described under the section “To Remove Belt”. Remove obstructions.
17.6 Debris Removal: Turbo Tool
•Slide “O” Ring off the end of the Turbo Tool
