Introduction
NEX-E500W is a wall plate encoder that designed for video switching
between HDMI and VGA inputs, and can work with NEX-D500 decoder to
transmit the 4K HDMI signal or 1920x1200 VGA signal via a gigabit Ethernet
network up to 100m/330ft over a single Cat 5e cable or above.
Audio, video, IR and USB signals can be routed separately or as a whole
throughout the matrix system. USB port supports USB extension for remote
KVM control. Integration-friendly control options are offered as well, including
Windows PC configurator (PF-IP Console), PF-I P To u c h on iPad and IP
control box (PF-IPC). NEX-E500W is a perfect solution for any signal routing
applications, like homes, classrooms, conference rooms, broadcasts, etc.

Auto Signal Switch
Auto signal switch allows you to easily and quickly choose the video source
between HDMI and VGA. It follows the LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) rule.
For example, if a new active source is connected, the NEX-E500W will
automatically switch to this source and output it; if you disconnect the cable
from the current source input, the other source will be automatically selected.

13
Device Control
The NEX-E500W allows you to use the PC configurator, PF-IP Touch and IP
control box to manage and control them and the decoders. This section
briefly introduces how to route the video source to the display using these
tools. By default, audio, video together with IR, and USB signals are routed
as a whole. For more information, see their guides.
The following tables describes how audio, video, IR and USB signals are
routed using all the different tools.
Operation Tools
Description
PC configurator
Route audio, video, IR and USB signals as a whole.
PF-I P To u c h
IP control box
Both of the following routing policies are available.
•Route audio, video, IR and USB signals as a
whole.
•R
oute audio, video, IR and USB signals
separately via API commands of IP control box.
Note:
When audio, video, IR and USB signals are routed separately via API
commands of IP control box, they can be routed as a whole with the other
operation tools.
