• Thank you for purchasing our product. The following is our product warranty
information, and keep this manual for future reference.
• Please read these safety instructions completely before operating this product.
• This product is a device for recording driving images and is supposed to be installed
inside of your motor vehicle to record front, inside and side scenes (4ch.). The product
is designed to help a driver to drive safely and the purpose of the audio and video
recordings is to help collecting evidence of accidents, but has no legal validity.
• The purpose of this product is to record surroundings of your motor vehicle when
you are driving or parking, but this does not guarantee that the product is able to
record everything while operating.
• This product might not be able to detect a mild impact or a minor collision and
cannot recorded under ‘event’ while you are driving or parking. We recommend you to
store event data by pressing the ‘event’ button to convert your current situation to
event situation.
• We cannot guarantee any product defects if you have used other kinds of storage
medium than our designated ones during the warrant period.
1. Product Information
▶This product is a device for recording high-resolution video, designed to monitor driving behavior and
capture incidents that could occur while your vehicle is on the road or parked. The recorded evidence may
or may not hold any legal validity in the court of law. Bear in mind that we are not responsible for any
disputes or loss in the court from recorded or unrecorded video data. Be safe, drive safe!
Instructions Before Operating this Product

1. Product Information
Before implementing the device, record on to a SD card for 5 to 10 minutes as a trial recording then check to
make sure that it recorded properly.
Using other type of power source than the one that is supplied will void the product warranty. Please note that
alternative power sources could cause a fire and damage the product.
Consult an installations expert if you intend on using direct power connection to the vehicle’s battery. The
product warranty will be void in the event of an installation mishap by a non-authorized dealer.
The warranty does not cover claims related to mishandling, tampering and / or disassembling of the product.
Altering and disassembling of the product may result in a fire or electric shock. Disassembling the product will
void the warranty. Inquire with your associate in the event the product needs repair work or a checkup.
Do not store the product in extreme high or low weather conditions. Exposure to sunlight for a long period of
time could cause the product to malfunction.
Refrain from using liquid cleaners or chemicals to clean the device. Using a cloth to wipe down the product will
suffice.
Product warranty will be void if you use an SD card other than the one supplied or recommended.
Saving files other than the device’s recorded files on to the SD card, may cause a camera error.
Do not use the SD card with other applicable products such as a portable navigation system or a digital
camera, as this may cause an error to the already existing recorded files.
Do not remove the SD card from its slot until after the power has been completely turned off, as this will
damage the camera.
Removing the SD card prior to all the LED lights shutting off may not save the last recorded file.
Do not try to change the settings of the product while driving, as it may cause a fatal accident.
Stop operating the product immediately if you notice smoke or burning smell, as it may result in a fire or
electric shock. Please contact your local dealer or supplier.
Clean the area of the windshield prior to mounting the camera.
Please note that cold weather may temporarily weaken the strength of the adhesive.
The product is designed to be installed inside the vehicle. Any damage caused by placing the device outside
your vehicle, or damage due to misuse of the product will void the warranty.
For additional information regarding your warranty and after warranty servicing of your product, please contact
your dealer or supplier.

Specification

1) Select the installing position of the product and then attach the slider on the windscreen.
2) Adjust camera angle facing the front and insert the product on to the slider.
3) Place side and rear cameras on the appropriate position and connect the camera cables to
the camera input terminal by using extension cables.
4) Insert the SD card into the main body. (Ensure that the SD card is correctly inserted / you
will hear a click sound)
[Note : Using the SD memory card]
: Must insert or eject the SD card when both the product and the LED lights are turned off and
the LED light is turned off.
: The SD card contains both the Viewer program and the update program. Please save these
programs to your PC.
: Using either damaged or low-quality SD card may damage the recorded data and decrease
the speed of saved video playback.
: Please be aware of the fact that the SD card does not last forever, and it may wear out after
using it for a certain time. It also may cause an error of recordings. Try to conduct format and
run virus checking programs regularly to prevent malfunctions of the SD card. SD card
related problems are not under guarantee and the manufacturer or the supplier is not
responsible for your data loss or missing recordings.
: We recommend you to make back up files and save them to other medium of storage such
as your PC because your valuable data can be damaged from external power voltage.
: Do not put a heavy pressure on the SD card and never use a wet SD card.
5) Connect a cigar plug to the power terminal of the product.
6) Insert the cigar plug into the cigar socket of your vehicle.
7) Check the LED lamp.
8) Use cable holders to tidy up cables.
Prior to attaching the holder, please be aware that the cold weather,
condensation, and dust may cause product damage from falling.

Installation

This product will start to record once it is connected with the car battery or when you turn on the engine via a
cigar plug connection. You can stop recording by unplug the direct power cable or pressing the power button of
the product (temporarily) or turning off the engine (cigar plug connection). Then, consequently, it saves the last
recording scenes and ends operating. If the product is directly connected with the car battery, it may restart
recording once it gets a certain voltage of the power from the car battery. If the voltage of your car battery goes
below a certain set point, it will turn off the product to prevent your car battery to go flat (Battery Protection
Mode).
If there is a lack of memory space of the SD card, it will overwrite the latest data on top of the existing data. For
instance, the oldest normal recording data will be deleted and the latest recording data will be saved. In case of
event recording data, it deletes the data depends on the importance and time frame of the data.
Note: GPS Satellite Reception
The GPS may lose reception in areas where high-rise buildings are present. Stop
at a location where your GPS can regain its reception, before proceeding again.
Extreme weather conditions may interfere with the GPS reception. The operating
temperature should remain between 0~50℃.
GPS may take longer to connect when turning on the product for the first time, or
if the product has not been used for more than 3 days.

[Checking LED lamp signal]
• Power : Red light will be flashing on the PWR LED lamp during the reboot once the power is
supplied after turning the engine on. Red light will be turned on the PWR LED lamp once the
rebooting is completed. (If there is a problem with the battery, or the battery protection mode
is on, the PWR LED light will keep flashing)
• GPS : Green light will be flashing on the GPS LED lamp while receiving the GPS reception.
(The GPS LED light will be turned off after 10 seconds if the GPS reception is being cutoff)
• Video recording : Red light will be flashing on the REC LED lamp during video recording.
(The REC LED light will be flashing every 0.5 to 1 second during the driving mode and it will
be flashing every 2-3 seconds during the parking mode.)
• Event recording : Blue light will be appeared on the EVENT LED lamp during event
recording. (The EVENT LED light will be turned off if the event recording mode is off)
[with HDD/SSD connection – Checking LED lamp signal]
Blue light will be flashing on the EVENT LED lamp every 0.5 to 1 second if the backup device
such as HDD/SSD is connected and recording properly during the driving mode and it will be
flashing every 2-3 seconds during the parking mode.)
You must check the below lights (pointed by hand) are flashing. Otherwise, please
check the cable connection on both ends: camera and external HDD/SSD case.

Status Check

• This product provides real time high-resolution recording and surveillance functions through
connecting 4 cameras (front, internal, left and right). It starts to record after when you connect
the unit with a cigar plug and turn on the engine. The product stops recording after you turn
off the engine or turn off the power of the unit : consequently, it saves the last recording
scenes and ends operating. If it lacks memory capacity of the SD card, it overwrites the latest
data on top of existing data, erases the oldest normal recording data, and creates new
recording files. In case of event recording data, it erases the data depends on the importance
and time frame of the data.

[Product button functions]
• Power button
: Pressing the ‘power’ button for 3-4 seconds, then it will turn on/off the product.
• Audio button
: Press ‘audio’ button to turn on/off audio recording mode.
• Parking button
: If you press on the ‘parking’ button once, the recording mode will be changed to the parking
mode.
*Pressing the ‘parking’ button for 3-4 seconds, then it will turn on/off the audio.
: If you press the ‘parking’ button once more, then it will change back to the normal recording
mode.
Parking mode is a function which you can record for a longer period than the normal
recording by reducing recording frames. The parking mode records 3 frames per second
If you set ‘0’ (do not use) for the parking mode in the configuration, then it will not
change the recording mode even you press the ‘parking’ button.
• Emergency button
: This function enables you to store data for a longer period than the normal recording by
creating an ‘event’ occurrence while stopping or parking.
: If you press the ‘event’ button from the time of accident, it will record pre-and-post events
for a few seconds. This means that you can store data for a longer period than the normal
recording. It will delete the most outdated event data in consecutive order once the event
recordings exceed its storing capacity.
: This button also does screen rotation which allows you to switch the displaying screen
mode; full(1ch.), 2ch. and quad when you see the playback via video out device

[4 channel high-resolution video image]
: The product is able to record clear and sharp video images by processing rapidly changing
video occurrences (VBR) as its top priority.
[Recording 4 different directions simultaneously: front, internal, left and right]
: Easy to install cameras without having space restraints.
[Simultaneous playback mode : full, 2ch. and 4ch. screen mode]
: Enable to divide playback screen into four to watch each cameras simultaneously.
[Automatic parking mode]
: Enable to setup (time frame) the parking mode from the setup menu of the Viewer program.
[Parking taillights function]
: It enables to prevent damage of your vehicle from a break in by using parking taillights
function in the night.
[Built-in GPS and high-sensitivity G-SENSOR]
: It enables to check the location (linked to Google maps), speed and acceleration information
at the time of recording on the Viewer program by using embedded GPS.
[Using database (db) that suits for the motor vehicle black box purpose]
: It minimizes deleting data from external data loss, and protects the user’s data by
recovering data loss.
[Extending the average life of the SD card by optimizing its expendability]

Key Functions and Features

• Insert the SD card directly to your PC, or use the memory card reader to connect the SD
card to your PC. Open the SD card folder and then double click the [PlanetHalo] file to run
the PC Viewer program. The file can be found in the enclosed SD card.
[To start Viewer]
1) Click the ‘Open’ icon and you will see “Browse for Folder” window appears.
2) Select drive, i.e. BLACKBOX(F:), and then click the [ok] button.

[Key Functions of Viewer]
1)Playback Display Screen : It shows the playback of your recorded video data from the SD
card.
2) G-Sensor Graph : The G-sensor graph displays the information on 3 axis points.
Clicking on the ‘Zoom’ button on the top left corner of the box gives you a
closer look at the graph.

①Enlarge Screen: Double clicking the mouse (left) enlarges the display screen. Double clicking
again returns the display screen back to its original size.
②Zooming: Scrolling your mouse wheel upward zooms in on the video. Scrolling your mouse wheel
downward zooms out on the video (up to 3x)
③View Shift: Clicking the mouse and dragging the cursor will allow you to view the desired position
on the display screen.

3) GPS Information : Displays the longitude, latitude, azimuth, date and time of the current playback.
4) Playback Position Slider / Playback Time : It allows you to choose the position of playback
data and you will be able to see the current / the total time of playback.

Upgrading the Product
: Our product may need to be updated along with continuous product development and maintenance.
1.Insert the SD card in to the computer.
2.Download the updated firmware from our website on to the SD card.
3.Insert the SD card in to the product and turn the power on. The LED lights will begin to flicker and the product
will be automatically upgraded.
Please do not change the file name of the firmware. Otherwise, this may not allows you to upgrade the firmware
successfully.
PC Viewer
: Install the PC Viewer program in your PC from the provided SD card. The PC Viewer may need to be updated
along with continuous product development and maintenance.

[Printing the video image on display]
1) Click the ‘PRINT’ icon to open print option. Click the [OK] button. This allows to print the
video image on display while watching the playback.
[AVI Backup]
1) This allows to export and convert a specific time period of video recordings into a PC
media player file such as Media Player and KMP. Click the ‘AVI’ button to open AVI Backup
window. Select the following options: Save Folder/ Filename/ Caption (Date, Time, Speed,
Coordinate)/ Audio Save and Ch. etc and click the ‘Convert’ button. Then it will be converted
to AVI file and saved to your designated location.
2) Filename will be save as (user’s input)_CHn.AVI [n:Ch.1(front)/ 2(rear)]
- 1 : Browse (folder) location
- 2 : Enter the filename
- 3 : Select save option: Date,Time/Speed/Coordinate
- 4 : AVI backup time range option
- 5 : Audio save option
- 6 : Status bar of saving

[Smart backup]
1)This function enables to select desired time periods of recording data and watch them via
Viewer and other PC media players.

[Saving the video image on display as jpg, png, bmp files]
1)Click the 'Capture‘ icon to open [Select Channel] window. Select the ‘Save Folder’ and file
type such as JPG, PNG, BMP and then click on the ‘OK’ button.
- 1 : Browse (folder) location
- 2 : Enter the filename
- 3 : Choose desired channel display type
- 4 : Select file type (JPG, PNG, BMP)
- 5 : Select the channel
- 6 : Option for overwriting on the same filename
2)You can select your desired channel. Filename will be saved as (user’s input)_CHn.bmp

• GPS Tracker : This function allows users to find out the driving history by forming dots of
driven path on the maps.
1)Click the “Viewer-Tracker” button.
2)Click the [OPEN] button.
3)[Browsing] window appears. Select the drive for the SD card and click on [OK].
4)List of files appears on the bottom. Double click on the file you want to see (also tick in the
‘Select only’ box). This enables users to trace the driven path from the start to the end. Click
on a dot shows the date, time, latitude, longitude and speed at that location. Click on [Play] to
watch the video on the right side of the screen.

• 3D Maps: ‘Street View’ function: This allows users to watch the recorded driving video by
panorama view linked with Google Earth. Users can easily recognize the exact location and
situations because this function provides satellite images, road and surroundings information
by using the GPS.
1)Click the “3D Maps” button. This will create a file (.klm) which can be opened with Google
Earth.
2)Save the file on your PC and then double click to open. This will start Google Earth and
show the driven route on the map of the selected time.
Google Earth : It is a virtual globe, map and geographical
information program provided by Google.

[Setup configurations]
1)Click the ‘Configuration’ icon.
2) ‘Configuration’ window appears. Select each functions you desire and then save the
configuration settings. The updated settings are saved to the SD card. Insert the SD card into
the SD card slot of the product and turn the power on. The product will be updated with the
new settings. * If there is no data on the SD card, you cannot configure the settings.
Please be aware of that if the [index.dat] file gets deleted from the SD memory card, it does not
allow to save the configuration settings. The [index.dat] file can be created again when the SD
memory card is inserted into the product and the power is turned on, but the configuration settings
will not be applied.
