ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION MANUAL

It is the users responsibility to ensure the appropriateness of this device for the user in
question before using.
• NEVER use this device with individuals who are severely mentally, cognitively, physically
or vision compromised.
• ALWAYS attach safety belt and adjust to a snug t around users hips.
• NEVER leave a compromised user unattended.
• ALWAYS ensure that the legs are properly adjusted to ensure that the bench is level side
to side and front to back.
• NEVER exceed the maximum weight capacity of 330 lbs.
NOTE: Failure to follow the above noted safety instructions can lead to severe injuries.
ASSEMBLY
STEP 1
Remove all parts from the box and remove all plastic
packaging. Ensure all parts are present as shown
here. In the event of missing parts, please call cus-
tomer service at 1-888-550-2410.
STEP 2
Insert the curved upper leg sections into frame of
shower chair as shown. Slide parts together until the
brass tension spring buttons pop out of the holes.
NOTE: only two tension spring buttons will show the
other two tension spring buttons need to be pressed
so the legs slide into the tube.

STEP 3
Attach one lower leg section to each corner of the
frame as shown.
STEP 4
Insert the backrest into the frame of the sliding chair
until the spring tension buttons engage in the hole.
STEP 5
Adjust legs so they will best accommodate oor
heights and desired height for client. Legs lengths
are adjustable in half-inch increments by pushing the
spring tension buttons. Ensure that seat is level from
front to back and also side to side.
OPERATION
STEP 1
Push the gray button straight in engage the chair sliding function. Slide the chair along the
horizontal rails until it locks into place at the end of the travel outside of the tub.
STEP 2
To rotate the chair, push down on the red lever. Chair will lock into place every 90° of rotation.
Rotate the chair so that it is facing into the room and toward the user. Have user sit onto chair
and securely fasten safety belt around hips.

STEP 3
Press the red lever and rotate the chair while user lifts one leg into the tub at a time. Once
chair is fully rotated and locked into position with the user facing the front of the tub, press the
gray button under the seat. This will disengage the chair so it can slide along the horizontal
rails into the tub. Slide the chair to the end of travel until it locks into place.
STEP 4
Bathe normally.
Ensure that the safety belt is securely attached and snug around the hips. NOTE: Never use
the carrousel chair without attaching the safety belt. Using chair without safety belt can lead to
serious injury. NOTE that for easier transfers, the armrests of the Carousel can be raised. To
raise armrests, press red button at bottom front of armrest. This will unlock the armrest so that
it can be moved out of the way. Once seated, lower armrest back into position until it locks
into place.

NOTE that the Carousel Sliding Transfer chair can be used in a tubs
and showers.
NOTE that the chair can rotate 360° and can therefore be used with
right hand openings and left hand openings, it is completely reversible.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Chair not sliding easily or smoothly.
SOLUTION
Note that a light lubricant is applied to the horizontal rails that the
chair slides on. This lubricant is applied at the factory before the item
is shipped out. In some cases this lubricant can evaporate if high
temperatures are encountered during the shipping process. To rectify
the problem, simply apply a light coating of WD 40 lubricant to the
horizontal rails.
PROBLEM
Chair is not completely level in the shower or bathtub.
SOLUTION
Rotate the rubber feet to accommodate the contour or shape of the tub or shower, making
sure they are at and in full contact to the surface of the tub or shower. Rubber feet are an-
gled so that they can be adjusted to compensate for irregular or un-even surfaces. Also, en-
sure that the brass tension knobs on the leg adjustments are positioned at the correct level so
that the chair is completely level.

STEP 5
To exit the tub, press the gray button to disengage sliding chair and slide the chair toward the
outside of the tub to the end of the travel. Once the chair locks in place, press the red lever
and rotate the chair lifting one leg at a time out of the tub. Ensure users feet are on a dry
surface then unlock the safety belt so user can stand and exit the chair.
