2.2.1 Control
Thesystemisoperatedbyarotaryswitch(on/o)onthe
controlpanel.
TheweeklytimerofthePLCarrangestheon/otimesofthe

2.2.2 Filter cleaning
Theltercartridgesarecleanedonebyonebycompressedair
pulses.Thedustanddirtparticlesarecollectedinthedustbin
underneaththeunit.DependingonthePLCsetting,cleaning
takesplacebothonlineandoine2.
Online lter cleaning
Therstpulsetakesplaceimmediatelyafterthefanstarts
running.Aftereach30minutesofrunningtimeofthesystem,
oneoftheltercartridgesiscleanedbyacompressedair
pulse.Theltercartridgesarecleanedalternately.
Oine lter cleaning
Assoonasthesystemisswitchedoduetotheweeklytimer
setting,anoinecleaningcyclestarts.Duringthiscycle,each
ltercartridgeiscleanedbytwocompressedairpulseswithan
intervalof30minutesperpulse.
2.2.3 Pressure relief valve
Thefanhousingisprovidedwithanadjustablereliefvalveto
controlexcesspressureinthesystem.

Thisisthemaximumsettingandmaximumextractionatthe
weldingtorch.Forlessthan5torchesthiscanbetopowerfull,
visualcheckextractionormeasureextractedvolumeinline
withspecicationsoftorchmanufacturer.Toreducethe

5.2.1 System failure
Asystemfailureisindicatedbytheredcontrollight(ref.Fig.
5.1A)onthecontrolpanel,withanacousticalarmatthesame
time.Inthiscase,thefanstopsrunningimmediately.The
causeoftheproblemisindicatedonthePLCinsidethecontrol
panel.
Togettoknowtheproblem,proceedasfollows.
ATTENTION
TokeepthemessageonthePLC,donot:
- pushthebuttonrEsEt AlArM
- turnthePROGRAMON/OFFbutton
- turnothemainswitch
• Openthecontrolpanelwiththesuppliedkey.
• CheckthedisplayofthePLC;itcanshowtwodierent
messages:
- “cloggedlter”
- “noairpressure”
• PushthebuttonrEsEt AlArM(ref.Fig.5.1E)tostopthe
buzzer7.
4. Itconcernsaspring-returnswitchsoitreturnstoitsdefaultposition.
5. Thecoolingfancontinuestorunforanadditional5minutes.

Message “clogged lter”
ThePLCshowsthismessagewhenthelterpressurehas
reachedthepresetvalue(default:2000Pa).Thismeansthat
youmustreplacetheltercartridges.

Replacethetwoltercartridgesatthesametime.

attachthemwiththedisassembledparts.
• Cleantheenvironmentoftheunit.
