duringthemostcommonweldingprocesses.Usingthe
productforotherpurposesisconsideredcontrarytoits
intendeduse.Themanufactureracceptsnoliabilityforany
damageorinjuryresultingfromsuchuse.Theproducthas
beenbuiltinaccordancewithstate-of-the-artstandardsand
recognisedsafetyregulations.Onlyusethisproductwhenin
technicallyperfectconditioninaccordancewithitsintended
useandtheinstructionsexplainedintheusermanual.

offumesanddustgeneratedbysomedryprocessingindus-

PNEUMATICS:
• Checkthatthecompressedairisconnected.
Thecompressedairshouldbedry,andatamaximumpres-
sureof5Bar/65psi.
Start up with new lters
Asthepressuredropacrosstheltercartridgeislowduring
thebreaking-inperiod,theairowwillexceedtheestimated
operationow.Thiscanmeanthatthelife-spanofthelter
cartridgesisshorteneddrastically.Thereforetheairowat
start-upneedstobecontrolled.
Thiscanbedoneinthreeways:
1. Placinganadjustmentdamperintheductworkonthel-
teroutletside.Adjustthedamperat50%openandstart
upthefan.Adjusttheairowusingaowmetertothe
correctowfortheapplication.Checkairowregularly
andopendampermoreifnecessarytocorrectairow.
Theairowanddamperpositionwillbecomeconstant
afterthebreakinginperiod;thiscantakebetween2-8
weeksdependingonapplication.
2. Incaseofamanualcontrolledfrequencyconverterwitha
potentiometer,adjusttheairowtothecorrectairowfor
theapplicationbyusingthepotentiometer.Checkairow
regularlyandadjustpotentiometerifnecessary.Theair-
owandpositionofpotentiometerwillbecomeconstant
afterthebreakinginperiod;thiscantake2-8weeks
dependingfromapplication
3. Incaseofautomaticcontrolledfrequencyconverter.Set
theairowrstmanuallyasin2.Measurethesignal
(4-20mA)fromthePT-1000andchangesetpointin
PIDfunctionalityoffrequencyconvertertothemeasured
value.ChangethesettingtoSet-up2.Thesystemwill
adjustitautomatically.
Precoating
Useprotectiongloves,ifnotcarriedoutwiththe
necessarycaution,maycauseseriouspersonal
injury.
Usebreathingprotection,ifnotcarriedoutwith
thenecessarycaution,maycauseseriouspersonal

Precoatingisarecommendationinallapplications,especially
inapplicationswithplasmaandlasercutting.Precoating
isdonewithPreco-Nataquantityof0,5to1kgperlter
cartridge.
• Switchonthelterunitwithfanonfullcapacity.
• Adjusttheowifnecessaryasdescribedunder12,3to

5.1 Replacing lter cartridges
Tochangethelterswithminimumreleaseofdustintothe
atmosphere,rstchangetheupperltercartridgesandthen
thelowerones.
RemovetheltercartridgesfromtheMultiDustBank
carefully,takingcarenottojogthem.
Wearthedisposableglovessuppliedwiththereplacement
lters,andplacetheusedltercartridgesintheplasticsack
supplied.
• Unscrewtheknob.
• Takeoffthecoverlidandunscrewthenut,metalwasher
andrubberringthatholdtheltercartridge.
• Takeouttheltercartridge.
• Placetheusedltercartridgeinthepackingofthe
replacementlterandsealsecurely.
• Replaceinreverseorder.(Theltercartridgecanonlybe
mountedinoneway).
• Checkthatthecoverlidpressesagainstthelterhousing
wallwhenanewltercartridgehasbeentted.
NOTE:whenchangingltercartridges,thestart-uproutines
mustbefollowed.Seestart-upprocedureinthismanual.

5.2 Emptying dustbins
Thedustbinmustbeemptiedregularly:
• Loosenthelockring.
• Lowerthedustbinbyreleasingthedustbinlift.
• Pulloutthedustbintoremovetheplasticbag.
• Sealtheplasticbagbeforeremovingitfromthedustbin.
• Fitanewplasticbag,placethedustbin,liftitupandput
lockingringbackinplace.
