GETTINGTOKNOWYOURHEADSET
Pleasenotesomemodels ofheadsetwilldifferslightlyinstyleand
thefunctionalitymayvaryaccordingtotheirspecifications.
INSERTTHEAAABATTERYINTOYOURHEADSET
TheheadsetispoweredbyoneAAAbattery.PleaseinsertanAAA
batterybeforeuse.AnewAAAbatterywillprovideupto20hoursof
talktimeandupto30daysofstandbytime.
Please note the talk time and standby time figures are best
estimates only. Quoted figures will vary depending on usage
patterns,connectingdevice(includingmobilephone)and AAA
battery specifications. We recommend using a high capacity
AAA battery (alkaline, rechargeable NiMH or Lithium) for
optimum performance. Rechargeable NiMH and lithium
batteriesmayprovidethelowestlongtermcost,despitehigher
initialcosts.
ToinsertAAAbattery
1.Unlockthebatterychambercover
by sliding the lock towards the
VolumeDOWN‘–‘button.
2.Open the battery chamber by
slidingoffthecoverawayfromthe
ear piece in the direction of the
arrow.
3.InserttheAAAbatterymaking
surethePositive(+)endisfacing
outofthechamberandhence
touchingthebatterycover.
4.Usethebatterycovertopushthebatterydownandslidethe
batterychambercoverbackintoplaceandlock.
PAIRTHEHEADSETTOYOURMOBILEPHONE
PairingistheprocessoflinkingtheheadsetwithyourBluetooth
mobilephone.BeforeyouusetheAAAheadsetwithyourmobile
phoneyoumustpairthem.Afterthisprocessiscomplete,youcan
usetheheadsetonlywithitspairedmobilephone.Ifyouwishtouse
theheadsetwithadifferentmobilephone,youmustrepeatthe
pairingprocesswiththenewmobilephone.Inthiscase,theheadset
willnolongerworkwiththeoriginalmobilephone.
Pleaserefertotheusermanualofyourmobilephonefor
furtherinformationon‘HowtoPair’.Typically,youneedto
makeyourphone‘Discover’theheadsetbyusinga
“Bluetooth”,“Connect”or“Setup”menuthenselectingan
optionto“Discover”otherBluetoothdevices.
Topairthedevices
1.Beforeyoupairtheheadset,ensurethatthebatteryisfully
chargedorthatyouareusinganewalkalinebattery.
2.Setupyourmobilephoneto“Discover”yourheadset.
3.Withtheheadsetturnedoff,pressandholdtheTalkbuttonfor
about7secondsuntiltheblueandamberLEDsflash
alternatelyoruntilyouwillhearthe“PAIR”tone(thesecondof
twotones).
4.ReleasetheTalkbutton.Theheadsetisnowin“Pairing”
Mode.
5.Initiatethedevicediscoveryfeatureonthemobilephone.
Refertothemobilephoneuserguideforinstructionson
initiatingthisfeature.
6.Whenpromptedbythemobilephone,entertheheadset
passkeyorPINcode0000.Whenpairingiscomplete,theBlue
LEDonheadsetwillflashatthreesecondintervalsandthe
headsetwillbeplacedinstandbymode,readytomakeand
receivecalls.
Ifdisconnectionoralostlinkoccurs,itmaybeduetothe
followingreasons:
a)Therangeisover3metresbetweentheheadsetandthe
mobilephone.
b)Mobilephonedisconnectedthelinktoconservepoweror
enableotherfunctions.
c)Eitherdevicehasbeenswitchedoff.
Note:Theheadset,innormaloperation,shouldmaintainthe
connectionwiththemobilephoneatalltimesoncepairinghas
beensuccessfulandaconnectionhasbeenestablishedbetween
thetwodevices.
TocancelpairingmodeW hiletheheadsetisinpairingmode,
you can cancel the pairing process and turn off the headset.
Press and holdthe Talk button for approx 3 seconds. You will
hearan“OFF”tone(twodescending“beeps”)andtheBlueLED
willflashquicklyseveraltimes.ReleasetheTalkbutton.
FITTINGTHEHEADSETONYOUREAR
TheAAAHeadsetisdesignedtofitcomfortablyinyourear.The
earhookcanbefixedintotheheadsetfrombothsides,allowing
youtopositiononrightorleftear.Theearhookcanbeseparated
from the Headset by simply pulling the base of the hook away
from the main body of the Headset. The ear hook can then be
reinserted in the other direction for positioning on the opposite
ear.Theearhookisflexibleandcanbebenttoadjustthefitthat
isbestfortheindividualuser.

SWITCHINGYOURHEADSETONandOFF
ToturnontheheadsetWiththeheadsetturnedoff,pressandhold
theTalkbuttonforabout3secondsuntilyouhearthe“ON”tone(two
ascending“beeps”)oryouseetheBlueLEDstarttoflash.Releasethe
Talkbutton.Theheadsetturnsonandisplacedinstandbymode,
readytomakeandreceivecalls.Afterturningontheheadset,the
headsetwilltrytoconnecttothelastpaired/connecteddevice
automatically.
ToturnofftheheadsetWiththeheadsetturnedon,pressandhold
theTalkbuttonforapprox3seconds.Youwillhearan“OFF”tone(two
descending“beeps”)andtheBlueLEDwillflashquicklyseveraltimes.

MAKINGCALLS
Youcanmakecallsfromyourmobilephone,ordirectlyfromthe
headsetusingvoicedialingcommands(ifthisfeatureissupportedby
yourmobilephone).
TomakecallsfromyourmobilephoneDialthecallfromyour
mobilephone.Dependentonyourmobilephonesettingsthecallis
automaticallyconnectedtoyourheadset.
TomakecallsusingVOICEDIALING(ifsupportedbyyourmobile
phone)ClicktheTalkbuttononyourheadset.YouwillhearaVoice
Dialtonepossiblyfollowedbythevoicedialprompttonefromyour
mobilephone.Speakthenameofthepersonyouwishtocall.Thecall
isautomaticallyconnectedtoyourheadset.
TomakecallsusingLASTNUMBERREDIAL(ifsupportedbyyour
mobilephone)Whileinstandbymode,pressandholdtheVolume
UP“+”buttonforabout3seconds,andyouwillheara“LastNumber
Redial”tone(singlebeep);ReleasetheVolumeUP“+”button,thecall
isautomaticallyconnectedtoyourmobilephone.
RECEIVINGCALLS
Youmustconfigureyourmobilephonetoanswercallsdirectlyonyour
Bluetoothheadset.Refertothemobilephoneuserguidefor
instructionsoninitiatingthisfeature.
Whenyouhearyourheadsetring,clicktheTalkbuttonontheheadset.
Thecallisautomaticallyconnectedtoyourheadset. Pleasenoteyou
canalsoRejectcallsbydepressingthetalkbuttonforabout3
seconds.(Notallphonessupportthisfeature)
ENDINGCALLS
Whenyouhavefinishedyourcall,presstheTalkbuttononyour
headset.Thecallwillbedisconnected.
TRANSFERRINGCALLS
Youcantransfercallsconnectedtoyourheadsetbacktoyourmobile
phone,orfromyourmobilephonetoyourheadset.(Notallphones
supportthisfeature)
Totransfercallsfromyourheadsettothephoneorfromthephoneto
theHeadsetpresstheVolumeUP“+”buttonformorethan3seconds
untilyouhearatone.Theaudiowillbetransferred.
ADJUSTINGTHEVOLUME
Toincreasethevolume Whileonacall,pressandrelease(click)the
VolumeUPbutton“+”toincreasevolumeby1step.Repeatthis
procedureuntilyouhavereachedthedesiredlevel.
TodecreasethevolumeWhileonacall,pressandrelease(click)
theVolumeDOWNbutton““todecreasevolumeby1step.Repeat
thisprocedureuntilyouhavereachedthedesiredlevel.
MUTINGTHEHEADSET
Youcanmuteandunmutethemicrophonetemporarilysothatyou
cannotbeheardbytheconnectedparty.
Tomutetheheadset– Whileonacall,pressandholdtheVolumeUP
button“+”andtheVolumeDOWNbutton“”concurrentlyforabout3
seconds,andyouwillhearaMUTEtone(Singlebeep),the
microphoneismuted.
Tounmutetheheadset Whenmicrophoneismuted,pressandhold
VolumeUP“+”buttonandVolumeDOWN“”buttonconcurrentlyfor
about3seconds,andyouwillhearaMUTEtone(Singlebeep),the
microphoneisunmuted.
VOICEDIALING
ClicktheTalkbuttononyourheadset.YouwillhearaVoiceDialtone
possiblyfollowedbythevoicedialprompttonefromyourmobilephone.
Speakthenameofthepersonyouwishtocall.Thecallis
automaticallyconnectedtoyourheadset
LASTNUMBERREDIAL
Whileinstandbymode,pressandholdtheVolumeUP“+”buttonfor
about3seconds,andyouwillheara“LastNumberRedial”tone
(singlebeep);ReleasetheVolumeUP“+”button,thecallis
automaticallyconnectedtoyourmobilephone.
VISUALINDICATIONS
TheBlueandAmberLEDswillflashwhencertainoperations(Turn
on/offheadset,enterpairingmode,andfinishpairingmode)are
