Pleaseavoidshort-circuit between battery anode and cathode; otherwise, thiswillcauseelectricshock or
fire.
Don't dismantlethe UPS cover,thereisdangerofelectricshock.
Don’t touchbatteries. Batteriesarenotisolated withthe input circuit,thereishigh voltage between the
battery terminalsand ground.
Don’t connect withthe electricequipment suchasblower, heater, drillingmachineetc.Theymaydamage
the UPS.

1.2. System andmodeldescription
Honline seriesisan uninterruptiblepowersupplyincorporating double-conversion technology.It
providesperfectprotection specificallyforcomputerequipmentcommunicationsystemstocomputerized
instruments.
Itstrue online double-conversion design eliminatesallmainspowerdisturbances.Arectifierconvertsthe
alternating currentfromthe utilitypowertodirectcurrent. Thisdirectcurrentchargesthe batteriesand
powersthe inverter.Onthe basisofthisDC voltage,the invertergeneratesapuresinusoidalACvoltage,
whichisconstantlypowering the loads.
Computersand peripheralsarethuspowered entirelybythe UPS.Intheeventofpowerfailure,the
maintenance-free batteriespowerthe inverter.

2. Installation
2.1. Unpackingandinspection
1). Unpack the packaging and checkthe package contents.The shipping package contains:

2).Inspectthe appearanceoftheUPStosee ifthereisanydamageduring transportation.Donotturnon
the unitand notifythe carrierand dealerimmediatelyifthereisanydamage orlacking of someparts.
3). Check if the equipmentisjust what you wanted topurchase. You can affirmthrough inspectingthe
modelnumberon backpanelof the equipment.
2.2. Safetynotes
1). Keep good aircirculation around UPS and farawayfromwater,flammablegasand corrosive.
2). Don't placeUPSon theslope and thereshouldkeep good aircirculation between in-vent onfrontpanel
bottomand fanoutventon back panel.
3). The environmenttemperaturearound UPSshouldkeep inarange of 0℃~40℃.
4). Therewillbe phenomena ofcondensing ifthe equipment isdismantled orinstalled underlow
temperature.The equipmentcan'tbe installed unless itisfull dry at internal and external ofthe equipment,
otherwise, therewillbe dangerofelectric.
5). The socketthat suppliespowertoUPS shouldbe placed nearthe UPS and easy.

2.3.Thedescriptionoffrontpanel anddisplay lamp
●PowerON/OFF: toturnon the UPS simplybypressing the “ON”button on the frontpanel
continuouslyfor1second.Press the “OFF”button on the frontpanelcontinuouslyfor1second to
turnoffthe UPS.
●BypassLED(orange LED): wheneverthe bypassLEDisturned on, itshowsthat the loading current
issupplied directlyfromthe utilitypower.
●UtilitypowerLED(green LED):wheneverthe utilitypowerLEDisturnedon,itshowsthatthe utility
powerisnormal.
●InvLED(green LED):wheneverthe INVLEDisturned on,itshowsthatthe loading currentis
supplied fromutilitypowerorbattery viathe inverter.
●BatteryLED(orange LED):wheneverthebatteryLEDisturned on,itshowsthattheloadingcurrent
issupplied frombatteryvia the inverter.

2.4. Inputandoutputpower chordsandprotective earth groundinstallation
2.4.1. Notesforinstallation
1)The UPSmustbe installed inalocation withgood ventilation,farawayfromwater,inflammablegas
and corrosiveagents.
2)Ensurethe airventson the frontand rearof the UPSarenotblocked.Allowatleast0.5Mof spaceon
eachside.
3)Condensation towaterdropsmayoccurif theUPSisunpacked inaverylowtemperatureenvironment.
Inthiscaseitisnecessary towaituntilthe UPSisfullydried inside outbeforeproceeding installation and
use. Otherwisetherearehazardsofelectricshock.
2.4.2.Installation
Installation and wiring mustbe performed inaccordancewiththe localelectriccode and the following
instructionsbyprofessionalpersonnel.
Forsafety, pleasecut offthe mainspowerswitchbeforeinstallation.The battery breakeralsoneedstobe
cut off ifit isalong backup timemodel(“L”model).
1)Open the terminalblockcoverlocated on the rearpanelofthe UPS,pleaserefertothe appearance
diagram.
2)ForH6KS(L)UPS,itisrecommended toselectthe UL1015 10AWG(6mm2)wireorotherinsulatedwire
whichcomplieswithAWGstandardforthe UPSinput and output wirings.
The protectiveearthground wirereferstothe wireconnection between toe equipmentwhichconsumes
electricequipment and the ground wire. The wirediameterofprotectiveearthground wireshouldbe atleast
asabovementioned foreachmodeland green wireofgreen wirewithyellowribbon wireisused.
1)Afterhaving completed the installation, makesurethewiring iscorrect.
2)Pleaseinstallthe leakcurrentprotectivebreakeratthe outputpowerdistribution panelofthe UPS if
necessary.
3)Toconnectthe load withthe UPS,pleaseturnoffallthe loadsfirst, then performthe connection and
finallyturnon the loadsone byone.
4)No matterthe UPS isconnected tothe utilitypowerornot, the outputof the UPS mayhaveelectricity,
the partsinside the unitmaystill havehazardousvoltage afterturning offtheUPS.Tomakethe UPShave
no output, poweroff the UPS,and then disconnect the utilitypowersupply.

5)Suggestcharging the batteriesfor8hoursbeforeuse.Afterconnection,turnthe inputbreakerinthe
“ON”position,the UPSwillcharge the batteriesautomatically.You can alsousethe UPS immediately
without charging the batteriesfirst, butthe backup timemaybe less than the standardvalue.
6)Ifitisnecessary toconnectthe inductanceload suchasamonitororalaserprintertothe UPS,the
start-up powershouldbe used forcalculating the capacityoftheUPS,asitsstart-up powerconsumption is
too bigwhen it isstarted.

2.5.Operatingprocedure forconnectingthelongbackup time modelUPS withtheexternalbattery
1).The nominalDC voltage of externalbattery pack is240VDC.Eachbattery pack consistsof 20 piecesof
12Vmaintenancefree batteriesinseries.Toachievelongerbackup time,itispossibletoconnect
multi-battery packs, butthe principleof “sameVoltage,sametype”shouldbe strictlyfollowed.
2).The connectorofthe externalbattery cableisused toplug intothe externalbatterysocket of the UPS
The otherend of the externalbattery cableismade ofthree open wireswithring terminalstoconnectwith
the externalbatterypack(s).The procedureofinstalling battery bankshouldbecompliedwithstrictly.
Otherwiseyou mayencounterthehazardousofelectricshock.
A.ADC breakermust be connected between the batterypack and the UPS.The capacityof breakermust
be not less than the dataspecified inthe general specification.
B. Set the batterypack breakerin “OFF”position and connect the 20 piecesof batteriesinseries.
C.You mustconnectthe externalbattery cabletothebattery first, ifyou connectthe cabletothe UPS
first,you mayencounterthe hazardousofelectricshock. The positivepoleofthe batteryisconnected tothe
H10KL/three-phaseH10KLinparallelwithblue and brownwires;the negativepoleofthe battery is
connected tothe H10KL/three-phaseH10KLinparallelwithblackand whitewires;the green and yellow
ribbon wireisconnected tothe ground of the batterycabinet. Forthree-phase15KL/20KL, the connection of
batterywireisthesameasthatofinputandoutputwire,and agreenorgreenand yellowribbonwire
UL1015 6AWG(25mm2)mustbe connectedbetweentheinputprotectiveearthterminal andthebattery
cabinet.
3).Tocompletethe connection byplugging the connectorofthe externalbatterycableintothe external

battery socketofthe UPS.Do notattempttoconnectanyloadstothe UPSnow.Youshouldconnectthe
inputpowerwiretotherightposition first,and then setthe breakerofthe battery pack inthe ONposition.
Afterthat set the input breakerinthe ONposition,The UPS beginstocharge the batterypacksat the time.

2.6. Paralleloperation
2.6.1. Briefintroduction of the redundancy
N+Xiscurrentlythe mostreliablepowersupplystructure.Nrepresentsthe minimumUPSnumberthat
the totalload needs;Xrepresentsthe redundantUPSnumberthefaultUPSnumberthatthe systemcan
handlesimultaneously.The biggerthe Xis,the higherreliabilityofthe powersystemis.Foroccasions
wherereliabilityishighlydepended on, N+Xisthe optimalmode.
Aslong asthe UPSisequipped withparallelcables,upto3UPS canbe connected inparallel torealize
output powersharing and powerredundancy.
2.6.2. Parallel installation
1)Usersneed toastandard25-pincommunication cable,whichshouldhave25cores,corresponding
stitchesand shield,asthe UPSparallel cable.The lengthofthe parallelcableisappropriatetoless
than 3M.
2)Strictlyfollowthe stand-alone wiring requirement toperform the Input wiring ofeachUPS.
3)Connect the output wiresofeachUPS toan outputbreakerpanel.
4)DisconnecttheJumperon JP1andJP2oftheterminalblockfirst,andconnecteachoutputbreaker
toamainoutputbreakerand then tothe load.
※The requirement of theoutput wiring isasfollows:
lWhenthe distancebetween the UPSsinparalleland the breakerpanelisless than 20 meters,
the differencebetween the wiresofinput &output ofthe UPSsisrequired tobe less than 20%.

lWhen the distancebetween the UPSsinparallelandthe breakerpanelisgreaterthan 20

2.6.3.Operation and maintenance
1)Toperformthe generaloperation, followthe stand-alone operating requirement;
2)Startup:the unitstransfertoINVmode simultaneouslyastheystartup sequentiallyinutilitypower
mode:
Shutdown: the unitsshut downsequentially
inINVmode. When the last one completes
the shutdownaction, eachunit willshut down
the invertersimultaneouslyand transferto
bypass mode.
Parallel installation diagram
It iseasytooperatethe equipment,withno previoustraining.You justneed toread through thismanual
and operateaccording tothe instructionsinit. The meaning ofthe LEDindicators,pleaserefertothe
appendix1 “Displaypanel”.
3. Operation andoperating mode
3.1.Operation
3.1.1.Turnon the UPSwithutilitypowersupplied (inlinemode/ACmode)
Pleasefirstlyuseofinternal batterymodels.
1)Whenyou operatefirsttime,pleaseopen the battery breakercoverplateand turnonthebattery
breaker.Then closethe batterybreakercoverplate.
2)Afteryou makesurethatthe powersupplyconnectioniscorrect,setthe inputbreakerinthe “ON”
position first.Atthistimethe fan rotatesand the UPS suppliespowertothe load viathe bypass.The UPS
operatesinbypassmode.
3)Topoweron the UPS bysimplypressing the “ON”button continuouslyformorethan 1second.

4)Whenbeingpowered on,the UPSwillperformself-diagnosis,withtheload/batterylevelLEDsturned
on and then offone afteranotherinascending order.Afewsecondslater,the INVLEDisturned on,the
UPS isalreadyrunninginutilitypowermode. Iftheutilitypowerisabnormal,theUPSwill operateinbattery
mode withoutoutputinterruption of theUPS.
3.1.2.Turnon the UPSwithno utilitypowersupplied (inbattery mode)
1)Press the “ON”button continuouslyformorethan 1second topoweron the UPS Forlong back up time
model(“S”model),pleasemakesurethatthe batterybreakerisin “ON”position.
2)During the courseofstarting up,the UPS hasthesameaction asifitisconnected toutilitypower

3.1.3.Turnoffthe UPS withutilitypowersupplied (inlinemode/ACmode)
1)Press the “OFF”button continuouslyformorethan 1secondtoturnoffthe inverterofthe UPS
immediately.
2)Whenbeingpowered off,the UPSwill performself-diagnosis,the load/batterylevelLEDswill be
turned on and then offone afteranotherinascending order, then theINVLEDwill be turned offandbypass
LEDwillbe turned on.The UPSisworking inbypass mode.
3)Upon completionoftheabovetoturnitoff,outputofelectriccurrentof the UPS isstillpresent.Inorder
tocutoffthe outputfromthe UPS,simplycutoffthe utilitypowersupplyand the UPS willperform
self-diagnosis,finallynotanydisplayisshownon the displaypaneland no voltage outputisavailablefrom
the UPS output.
3.1.4.Turnoffthe UPS withon utilitypowersupplied (inbattery mode)
1)Press the “OFF”button continuouslyformorethan 1second topoweroff the UPS.
2)Whenbeingpowered off,the UPSwill performself-diagnosis,the load/batterylevelLEDswill be
turned on and then off one afteranotherinascending order.Finallynotanydisplayisshownonthe display
paneland on voltage isavailableformthe UPSoutput.
3.1.5. UPSself-test/mutetest operation
1).When UPS ison utilitymode,press and holdthe FUNCTIONbutton for1second, the buzzerwill
sound onceevery4seconds, the LEDlightslight aroundat the sametimeasthe UPS runsself-testing, and
itwilllastfor10 seconds.
2).When UPS ison batterymode,the buzzerstopsbeeping if you press and holdthe FUNCTIONbutton
for1second, and it willrestart tobeep if you press and holdthe ONbutton forone moresecond.
Suggestions:pleaseturnoffthe connected loadsbeforeturning onthe UPSand turnon the loadsone by
one afterthe UPSisworking inINVmode.Turnoff allof the connected loadsbeforeturning off the UPS.

3.2.Operatingmode
3.2.1. Utilitymode
The displaypanelinutilitypowermode isshowninthefollowing diagram,the utilitypowerLEDand the
INVLEDareturned on,Theload levelLEDswill be turned oninaccordancewiththeloadcapacity
connected.
1)Ifthe batteryLEDisturned on and the utilitypowerLEDflashes,itindicatesthevoltageor
frequency ofthe utilitypowerhasexceeded the normal range, the UPSoperatesinbatterymode.

2)Ifoutput overloaded, the load levelLEDswillbe turned on and alarm willkeep twiceeverysecond.
You shouldget ridofsomeunnecessary loadsone byone todecreasethe loadsconnected tothe
UPS less than 90% ofitsnominalpowercapacity.
Note: Pleasefollowthe following stepstoconnect the generator:
lActivatethegeneratorandwaituntil theoperation isstablebeforesupplyingpowerof the generatorto
the UPS (be surethatthe UPS isinidlemode).Then turnon the UPS according tothe start-up
procedure.Afterthe UPSisturned on, then the loadscan be connected totheUPS one byone.
lThe powercapacityofthe ACgeneratorshouldbe atleast twiceoftheUPS capacity.
3.2.2. Batterymode
The displaypanelinbattery mode isshowninthe following diagramFig3-2.The battery LEDand the
INVLEDareturned on.The displayed numberofthebattery levelLEDswill be turned on inaccordance
withthe battery capacity.Notethatthe load levelLEDsinutilitypowermode willindicatethe levelofthe
battery capacityinbattery modeinstead.
1)When the UPS isrunning inbattery mode,the buzzerbeepsonceevery 4again,the buzzerwillstop
beeping (insilencemode).Press the “ON”button onceagainformorethan 1secondtoresumethe alarm
function.

2)When the batterycapacitydecreases,the numberofthe battery capacityLEDsturned on willbe
reduced.Ifthe battery voltage descendstothe alarmlevel,the buzzerwillbeep onceeverysecond to
remind the usersofinsufficientbatterycapacityand the UPS issoon going toshutdownautomatically.
Then the load operation shouldbe carried outpromptlyand the loadsshouldbe eliminated one byone.
3.2.3. Bypassmode
The displaypanelinbypassmode isshowninthe following diagramFig3-3.The utilitypowerLEDand
the bypassLEDarelit.The displayed numberofthe load LEDswill be turned on inaccordancewiththe
load capacityconnected.The UPSwillbeep onceevery2minutesinbypass mode.
lThe utilitypowerLEDflashes.It showsthatthe voltage orfrequency ofthe utilitypowerhas
exceeded the normalrange ofthe UPS.

3.2.7. Batterymaintenance
ThisseriesUPSonlyrequiresminimalmaintenance.The batteryused forstandardmodelsarevalue
regulated sealed lead-acidmaintenancefree battery.Thesemodelsrequireminimalrepairs.Theonly
requirementistocharge the UPS regularlyinordertomaximizethe expected lifeof the battery. When being
connected tothe utilitypower,whetherthe UPSisturned on ornot,the UPS keepscharging thebatteries
and alsooffersthe protectivefunction ofovercharging and over-discharging.
lThe UPS shouldbe charged onceevery4to6monthsifit hasnot been used foralong tine.
lInthe regionsofhotclimates,thebatteryshouldbecharged and discharged every2months.The
standardcharging timeshouldbe at least 12 hours.
lUndernormal conditions,the battery lifelasts3to5years.Incaseifthe battery isfound notingood
condition,earlierreplacementshouldbe made.Batteryreplacementshouldbe performed byqualified
personnel.
lReplacebatterieswiththe samenumberand sametypeofbatteries.
lDo notreplacethebatteryindividually.Allthe batteriesshouldbe replacedatthesametimefollowing
toe instructionsofthe batterysupplier.
