I. General description and use
The steel-alu iniu training hurdles (PP-174/7, PP-174, PP-175, PP-185 and PP-185/4) are pieces of athletics
equip ent and are designed for training hurdle races, for juniors and seniors in sports schools and clubs. The ain
advantages of the hurdles:
-cost-effective construction
-very wide range of heights (especially PP-174/7)
-strong and durable fra e ade of galvanized steel
-si ple and reliable height adjust ent syste
-stainless powder painted alu iniu telescope tubes
-plastic durable top board ribbed construction, resistible to weather conditions
-collapsible construction lowers transport costs.

The hurdle is delivered in parts and one co plete hurdle contains:

IV. Assembly
Foot screws (ite 4) with washers (ite 3) are te porarily screwed into hurdle feet for transport (or they can be
found in a separate box when big quantities of the hurdles are delivered). A etric wrench no. 13 is needed to
perfor the asse bly. Although one person can prepare the hurdle for use, a convenient and fast asse bly process
requires two persons.
To asse ble the hurdle please do the following:
a) slide carefully one hurdle foot (ite 2) into
one socket of the fra e (ite 1),
b) ake sure the foot (ite 2) is properly
placed in the socket, if it is not straight, please
correct its position,
c) screw the foot (ite 2) to the hurdle fra e
(ite 1) by eans of the foot screw (ite 4)
and the washer (ite 3),
d) install the other foot in the sa e way.
The ain goal of the hurdle collapsible construction is to assure easy and cheap transport. Please note that once you
screw the feet down, the hurdle is practically non-dis ountable. Therefore we do not reco end unscrewing the
hurdle feet during idle periods. Re oving the feet without proper tools can cause serious hurdle da ages.

V. Operation and maintenance
During idle periods the hurdles ust be stored in a roofed dry place. For opti al perfor ance they should be stored
and transported on Polanik hurdle cart: S-259. After every athletics season the hurdles ust be cleaned fro sand
( ud, dust and etc).
VI. Packing and transport
The hurdles are put on pallets in parts (fra es and feet separately) and wrapped
with foil.
