PRETREATER PRO
Before you start
In case an ofcial Polyprint
Stand is not purchased, pre-
pare a at, stable surface with
dimensions of at least 670 x
790 mm. The surface should
be capable of supporting
more than 130kg.

Note:
Avoid places subject to rapid changes in temperature and humidity.
Also keep the machine away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Ideal operating conditions are 22°C-26°C temperature and 55% hu-
midity.

STEP 2
Then remove the protective styrofoam sheets.
STEP 3
Continue with removing the side carton cover.

Warning:
• The product is 104Kg and requires at least 4 people to lift it.
Always carry the device from the bottom. Never lift it utilizing the
drawer handle, nor the Nozzle Access Cover.

Caution:
• Place this product on a at, stable surface. The surface, if not a
Polyprint stand, should be at least 670 x 790 mm and capable of
supporting more than 130kg.
• This product will not operate properly if it is tilted or in an angle.
• The machine must only be used indoors. Do not install or store the
PreTreater Pro, where it will be exposed to weather conditions.
• Avoid places subject to shocks and vibrations.
• Before moving the machine to another position, ensure that the
tank caps are sealed and liquid cannot spill out. Do not tilt the
pretreatment machine, while the liquid tanks are full or inside the
machine.
Note:
• Place this product near a wall outlet, where the plug can be easily
unplugged.
• Leave space on the right side of the machine, to have plenty ac-
cess to the tank compartment.

1. Remove the blue security tapes from the PreTreater Pro covers.
2. Open the Nozzle Access Cover.
3. Remove the yellow safety bar from the Nozzle Carriage.
4. Open the drawer and check that the table is properly placed on it.
The height of the machine on the front side must be 660mm and on
the backside 643mm. If not, adjust the feet accordingly.

PRETREATER PRO
Open the Tank Access Cover to gain access to the Tank Storage
Compartment.
There are 4 empty tanks in the slots L1, L2, CL,and MT. You can
ll the empty tanks or directly use a new pretreatment tank in its
place.

Caution:
Shake the new tanks/bottles with the pretreatment well, before using
them inside the machine.

• Fill/Replace Tank L1 or/and L2 with the pretreatment liquid you
are going to use.
• In case of using 2 pretreatment liquids, ll/replace both Tanks L1
and L2 with the according pretreatment liquid.
• Fill the Tank CL with distilled water.
Tanks that you need to rell/replace in blue below.

Option 1: Using 1 Pretreatment
Liquid (L1 or L2) and Distilled
water in the (CL) Tank.
Option 2: Using 2 of the same
type Pretreatment Liquids (L1
+L2) to double your capacity
and Distilled water in the (CL)

Option 3: Using 2 different Pre-
treatment Liquids (L1 / L2) and
Distilled water in the (CL) Tank.

Take the Tank out of the slot.
Take the tubes out of the Tank.

Note:
• You can use the Tank Access Cover as extra workspace.
Shake the pretreatment bottles well, before lling the tanks.

Open the cap of the Tank.

Fill the tank with the pretreatment liquid. Ensure that it’s with the
same pretreatment liquid type.

Put the tubes inside the tank and close the cap. Ensure they are in
place and properly sealed.

Close the Tank Access Cover.

Put the tank back into the slot.

Caution:
Before closing the Tank Access Cover, ensure that all the tubes are
inside the tanks and that the caps are in place and properly sealed.

Tank Replacement
Take the Tank out of the slot.
Take the tubes out of the Tank.

Put the new tank inside the slot.

Put the tubes inside the new tank and close the cap. Ensure they
are in place and properly sealed.

inside the tanks and that the caps are in place and properly sealed.

Power ON for the rst time
STEP 1

Place inside the Nozzle Carriage Chamber the nozzle assemblies,
following the steps below:

Plug in the power cord. Make certain that the source voltage is the
same as the rated voltage, listed on the serial number/rating plate.
Power On the machine from the Main switch, that is placed at the
backside of PreTreater Pro.

Attach the nozzle assembly to the carriage and turn it 90 degrees
counterclockwise to lock it in position.

NOZZLE ASSEMBLY STEPS
1. Open the Nozzle Access Cover
2. Insert the nozzle inside the blue nozzle holder.
3. Position the black gasket inside the blue nozzle holder and push
it, in place, to tighten.

Check that the CL, L1 and/or L2 Tanks are full and that all four (4)
nozzles are properly placed into position.
1. Press Conrm to continue with the liquid charge.
2. In case you installed pretreatment liquid in L1 or L2 Tank, select the
one you lled.
3. In case you installed pretreatment liquid in both L1, L2 Tanks, select
the one you wish to use rst.

Press Conrm.
After a couple of seconds, the initial liquid charge will nish.

The machine is now lled with liquid and ready for operation.

Caution:
If there is no liquid owing, then check that all the tubes are inside the
tanks and that the caps are in place and properly sealed.
Note:
If you get any error messages, for further information, check the top-
ic: Troubleshooting> General Problems in the Operational Manual
that you will nd in the USB Polyprint key.

To perform the nozzle check, start from the Home screen.

Nozzle Check
You should perform a nozzle check to see if all four nozzles are
ring correctly.

• You can, also, open the Nozzle Access Cover to have a better
view.

Enable all the nozzles, one-by-one, (or only the nozzles you want
to check).

Press the Spray button.

Each nozzle should be ring in an 80

angle.

Exit the Nozzle Check screen, by pressing the back arrow, to return
to the Home screen.
Note:
• If the nozzles are not ring correctly, for further information, check
the topic: Troubleshooting> Spraying problems in the Opera-
tional Manual that you will nd in the USB Polyprint key.
